Phenomenal Carnitas and Chile Rellanos 5/22/2010

As a long time resident of Southern California and Houston, Texas, Mexican food is something I cherish. Bertha Miranda's is my first choice in Reno. Their Carnitas are phenomenal, done just right with deep flavor, and they are one of the very few restaurants that make genuine Chile Rellanos. Fresh tortillas are an added bonus. Yum! Pros: Friendly people, Fantastic carnitas and Chile Rellanos Cons: None that I've noticed more

Best Mexican Food Ever! 2/24/2009

We ate there 5 times last week while on vacation as the food was so fantastic! The owners are wonderful people, made us feel like part of the family. We never had to wait in line, but of course it is not top of the tourist season at present. Pros: Never wanted to eat any where else. more

Great Food! 11/1/2008

One of the great places to get Mexican Food in Reno! They're food is always amazing no matter what you order. Although, they usually have a really long wait, and are noisy due to how many people are there (and live music). It's a good place to go when you have a large group, or are interested in live entertainment and great Mexican food! Pros: Food, Fun setting Cons: Noisy, Always busy, Long wait more

Incredible Guacamole 5/27/2007

I went to Reno for just a few days and walked all the way from the Peppermill to Bertha Miranda's near downtown Reno, thinking it was just a short walk away, but it was FAR. I thought, this better be worth it, and it was. They had the best fresh guacamole ever. The portions were good and the cold beer pulled it all together. if you're thinking mexican, it's the only place to take a date. live band with dancing on the weekends, a mariachi band that will play requests, and the best food around. Pros: Atmosphere Cons: Price more

Pretty Good 6/9/2003

While the not nearly as good as mexican restaurants such as Blue Bonnet in denver and red Iguana in Salt lake this place is the best in Reno. Decent food, good servive and a nice location make this a great place to go. more

Authentic taste, should have more variet 9/5/2002

The food is excellent here, but I am a huge fan of burritos and I think they should have more varieties of them. Other than that, prices were good although they need free soft drink refills and food was excellent. Pros: inexpensive, authentic, tastes great Cons: hard to find parking, needs menu variety more
