I tried to catch a Taxi at the LAX to go to a nearby hotel, was told by the waiting Taxi driver that he will not take me. I can only guess he is waiting for some other victims that intend to travel into the city. He has a very rude manner, it is disgusting. Cons: very rude more

Refused to turn on meter after being asked to and then gave an astronomical price as their standard flat fee that was $15 above what was on the Airport standard charge list. I finally had him pull over on an overpass several blocks from my house and he still wanted to charge me the crazy inflated price after I told him that was never acceptable and I would not pay. To end the argument, the guy actually reached for my wallet to try and tell me that I could pay by credit card. Absolutely amazing - never ever ever ever use them if you are a single female traveling alone - even if they are in the airport line and tell you a price in front of the taxi manager - they will try and change it later!
