Dr Wolf knows his stuff. No waiting and very accommodating with appointments. You won't find a better vet. NIce facility. I always board my dogs here when on vacation and they...

Worst

At my last visit to the facility there seemed to be a lot of confusion between the front desk and the vet and his staff about what vaccines my dog needed. The front desk added so...

Horrible Service! 1/28/2013

This vet is TERRIBLE! I took my sun conure there as soon as I noticed he was sick. They kept him there for four hours and then I finally asked how hes doing and they say they lost him, there was nothing they could do! They did no blood work, x-rays or anything. When I asked what happened the doctor replied "Who knows". They could have at least tried to save him, but instead they did nothing! They still charged me $64 bucks for doing nothing! The yellow naped amazon parrot they have on display looked sick also, I was there for four hours and he had no food or water or even bowls in his cage the whole time! These people do not care about birds, maybe dogs, but not birds. They seem like they are uncaring about pets and just care about making a quick buck! Please do not take your bird here, instead go to a strictly avian vet. more

They like your money...not pets so much 11/19/2012

Meh. Didn't really get the impression anybody here actually cared about my guinea pigs. They cared about how much money they were going to squeeze from me. Wasn't awful, just not a great atmosphere. When I took my pigs in to have them euthanized I wasn't offers any condolences or sorry or anything. Just a bill and then they took my guinea pigs from me without even offering to allow me to stay with them. The doctor didn't even see me. Nothing great. Wouldn't go back. more

Dr Wolf knows his stuff. No waiting and very accommodating with appointments. You won't find a better vet. NIce facility. I always board my dogs here when on vacation and they never seem to be stressed out when I get back. more

Love Them! 7/13/2011

I have never had a problem with this vet!! I really like the girl vet that works there, but the whole staff is great! I have a 7 month old puppy that gets into trouble all the time and they are really great about answering questions over the phone so I don't have to pay to bring her in. I have a cat as well that hates leaving the house and they again work with me and understand if I can't get in her at the time of my appointment! I would recommend this vet to EVERYONE!! They are very friendily, love pets, and treat them and me great!! more

New to Dayton and found a great Vet! 2/18/2011

We recently relocated to Dayton from Florida and our JRT had a problem with her dewclaw. I called at 7:45 in the morning expecting a machine but actually spoke with someone who gave us an appt for that morning at 9:30 am. We were seen immediately upon arrival by Dr. Wolfe, I was given all the options and my dog went into surgery at my request. The staff called me when she came out of surgery to let me know that she was ok. I couldn't have asked for more. The facility is spotless and the staff is very professional. I can't say enough about Dr. Wolfe and his staff they are amazing! more

great vet 10/19/2010

Between my parents and I we have taken all of our pets to Dr. Wolf and associates. They all are very caring, and well versed in their education. I had to put one of my cats down after hours and the ER clinic had sent them the report. The next day I received a card from them. I would recommend this establishment to anyone. more

Best Vet Office 7/20/2009

I have taken my pets to Dr, Wolf for over 10 years and would highly recommend his office. They took care of my Rottweiler who has had ACL put back together, omyla sites three times, and recently put down. From the beginning to the end of her life I knew I could always count on Dr. Wolf's office to give me the best advice and care my dog needed. If you are looking for a good vet call Dr. Wolf's office everybody is absolutely fantastic. I do not feel they are out to rip people off. I feel they are genuinely concerned with animals well being. I do have two other dogs and will not take them anywhere else. Thank You Dr. Wolf. more

I won't go back ! 3/11/2009

Doesn't seem as though they care about your pet, just how much money they can get ! I won't go back ! more

took my bird their 1/5/2009

I have a quaker parrot and i have taken him here a couple of times. once because he had a problem with one of his wings. the bet did a great job. So i insisted going back then i took my bird back because he started plucking the feathers off around his neck. and the vet told me that it was boredom and to this day my bird stil has no feathers around his neck. I would recoment this vet to any one who has a injured bird, but if a problem occures like feather plucking i would suggest taking your pet some where else. more

The Best Vet in Dayton 11/22/2008

We started going to Dr. Baum when we got our retired racing greyhound 4 years ago. He was wonderful, so caring and compassionate, made us feel like our dog was his favorite patient. Other times, Dr. Wolf has called us after hours to respond to a phone message or check on our dog. \r \r One time, one of the vet techs got the vet to write out a prescription that she needed for thyroid so we could mail it to the pet pharmacy, and actually mailed it to us so I didn't have to drive there to pick it up. Three times they have advised against doing a teeth cleaning because it is more risky for greyhounds and she didn't really need it at that point. That is three times they could have made a hefty fee.\r \r I would recommend Beavercreek Animal Hospital to anyone. more

LOVE THEM! 9/8/2008

The office is always great at getting me appointments that fit around my work schedule. The doctors are always careful about making my dog feel comfortable and as relaxed as possible, and they move at a rate that works for her. They absolutely do not try to force unnecessary tests and procedures on my dog. In fact, instead of prescribing expensive pills or shots for my dog's allergy problem, the doctor told me which over-the-counter generic medication is the exact same as the prescription and helped me adjust the dosage to best fit my dog. My dog and I couldn't be more satisfied! more

Best Vet 9/2/2008

I have taken my dogs to Dr Wolf for over 30 years. He and the other veterinarians have always been quite caring and concerned under their care. Dr Wolf has saved my Yorkie's life this year. I took her in for a torn ACL and found she has an enlarged heart. She was filling up with fluid. Dr Wolf at that time was not concerned about her ACL. He said to do surgery on her would kill her. He started medication for the heart and she is now doing great. She has a very slight limp, but runs and plays. She is 11 years old. I feel that if I had taken her elsewhere, they would have treated the ACL and not the heart. I have always trusted Dr Wolf and his decisions on the treatment of my dogs. He has called on Holidays, week-ends, has been in the office after hours, just to check up on a sick animal. I hate to see the day that he decides to retire because there will never be another Dr Wolf. more

uncaring and dishonest 7/16/2008

These people play on the emotions of pet owners to fleece them! They put my poor dog through multiple blood tests and lifted over $1000 total from me - all based on an error! Then they didnt have the decency to apologize or to offer any refund even though they made a mistake. I will NEVER go to them again!!!! They dont care about your pet - all they care about is taking your money! When Dr. Baum was there he was good - but he has left. Dr Wolfe is the worst for fleecing but then it is his coffers that are being filled. more

horrible 7/16/2008

The desk staff is undependable and rude. The only decent vet has left, leaving 2 vets, one of which is the owner. They both use great imagination in finding something wrong with your pet, then play on your love for your pet to milk you dry. I suspected I was being fleeced and took my dog to another vet for a second opinion after Dr Wolf wanted to operate on her. All she had was the equivalent of a pimple that cleared up with a little antibiotic cream. Thank God I got that second opinion instead of putting her through an un-needed surgery. These people are the best rip off artists I have ever seen. They should be in acting!\r \r \r \r Cons: too many to list more

Great Vets! 6/19/2008

I have gone to Dr. Wolf and Co. for over 20 years. They have a busy office, but since they have several vets, I can always be seen in case of an emergency. Over the years when I've had a sick or sadly, dying pet, Dr. Wolf will call me at home to see how things are going. He just repaired my golden retriever's torn ACL and did a wonderful job. Compared to other vets in the Dayton area, his price was the lowest (I asked several people whose pets had the same surgery.) more

The Best 6/16/2008

We have taken our pets to Dr Wolf and Staff for 27 years. Always want the best for your pets and you. We totally trust them to make a decision for us when our pets are boarding, in fact they saved the life of our Golden Retriever with emergency surgery while we were out of town last fall. more

Great place 6/2/2008

I've taken all my animals here. Always great with them. \r \r One time we thought my puppy had parvo. Instead of wanting to do surgery (making money), the vet said "There's really nothing we can do, and surgery more than likely won't help." So we just waited it out, and the puppy lived, beating the odds.\r \r My brother had a puppy that got parvo and the vet he went to (don't know which one it was) went ahead and did surgery, as they said that was best ($600+), and the puppy still died.\r \r I like the Beavercreek Animal Hospital as they have always treated me well, and gave excellent care to my animals. more

Good work under pressure 7/22/2007

The day I was in for my dog's teeth cleaning, they forgot to ask me about additional liver/kidney tests. A sorrowful couple came in to euthanize their old companion. Another lady came in crying due to a terrible accident with her pet. Considering what the staff has to deal with on an emotional level from pet owners they are doing good work. Not all things can be perfect in a triage situation. It will be up to me in the future to ask the vet for additional testing before I leave so consent can be granted. more

Amazing Heart...Loves animals 3/11/2007

We brought a sick puppy into see Dr. Whitty on Friday night, and we were amazed at how she really made us feel like Rudy was her only patient there and that he would receive the best attention possible. We ended up having to keep him there for the weekend for IV fluids and antibiotics, and she called us with round the clock updates and let us come in and see him whenever we wanted. She was very gentle and loving with our puppy, and we would recommend her to any other animal lovers. Pros: Dr. Whitty is great. Cons: Office staff very rude about settling bill even before puppy was discharged more

just a number 6/13/2006

At my last visit to the facility there seemed to be a lot of confusion between the front desk and the vet and his staff about what vaccines my dog needed. The front desk added some vaccines that the vet said the dog did not need yet. If you are looking for personal service where the vet knows your pet this is probably not the place to go as they are very busy and have way to many customers to provide attentive indivdualized service. PROS: very nice facility CONS: customers seem to be just a number more
