I am so happy with my hair. I don't normally go on the internet for stylist but I found exactly what I needed on here. My hair was so dead when I came in and now it has been resuscitated. I was hesitant, but Miss Darlene convinced me to cut it in a bob (it needed it) and later on we did a beautiful red color in top and black on the bottom. The cut was sassy and my hair had so much shine and body to it, I couldn't believe it.She was so professional, she even took notes on a client card. I've never had a client card before! Oh, and she got me out of the salon faster than I've ever been. I have recommended her to everyone in my circle and I even sent my mom and sister over to Miss Darlene and she did a great job on my mom's cut and style and my sister's hair extensions. Originally from Brazil, I moved here from Miami, where they charge me an arm and 2 legs for Brazilian Keratin Treatment and other services. I almost gave up on Jacksonville's Hair Scene until I took a chance. Darlene did a great job with my wild Brazilian Hair! After I did my Brazilian Keratin, I was impressed that it didn't smell bad like the ones back home and it came out much shinier and cost me $200 less. She was conversational, but not too nosy (friendly but not gossipy which is good because I don't want to hear that). It was different for me but I felt very comfortable because I saw different types of clients @ the salon, each time I came in. Thank goodness I don't have to go back home just to get my hair done! I was very impressed all around. I just started coming this year and my hair is growing again, even when she did my hair extensions. Darlene is a very professional, hardworking, smart and nice lady. I was very pleased with the fact that she started on time! She spread out her people and I usually don't see more than 3 clients at a time in the room. I'd gotten so sick of stylists piling people in, rushing and not doing a good job, but yet they still charge alot. Definitely worth the money. Can't run me off from SD! after many hair extension experiances from london to jacksonville, I CAN FINALLY say I have found the best. Having used great lengths for years, and with the problem of not being able to find a decent exstensionist in jacksonville, I know there are many around, a certain one in orange county, dont even bother inless you want to sell your kidney to pay for a medicore job, and tres salon, forget it, unless you want a stoned stylist, and the worst cut and color with great lengths then do go!.. by chance i found a link to darlene on the web, ii went along to her for a consult oppointment, and she had all the knowledge and expertize, understood why i was nervous because of a really bad rip off experiance from another stylist in jax, i was booked in very quick. once the hair was in, off we go!!! i have to say this is the best best extensions i have EVER had, using so cap, i was so shocked at how wonderful i looked, i nearly cried!!! any woman who has lost confidence or hair! will understand how that feels, there is no signs of where my hair starts and ends ,it is so well blended its almost magic, i didnt even need my own hair cut, i have a mid lengh bob, it was fun too, darlene has such a lovely personality, and is a right chatter box too!!! another great thing is, she cares about after care too, and the cubicle is private, no one can see you getting your hair done! if you go anywhere else, you will be missing out., if you go any where else you are also stupid! anyone can tell you thay can put hair extensions in, but only a true artist can do it right, darlene is an artist. oh and bring her chocolate.......x Pros: private cubilcle, more

I never thought in a million years that I would've found a great stylist from the internet. I was happy to see the variety of quality products being used. She listened to me and got me serviced in a timely matter. I'm so used to stylists not talking to me, but gossiping to other stylists over me, treating me like I'm just another dollar. She actually cared about what was going on with me and how I was feeling. My hair looked great and I felt great. In these times where a dollar means alot, I'm glad to spend mine over here. Ms. Darlene does a very good job with my hair. I get sewins, tape hair, clip ins, relaxers, haircuts and color. The prices are good and I don't have to be in there all day, just to get my hair done. It's different because I see all different types of people in coming in there getting their hair done by Ms. Darlene. It''s fun because she likes to try different things she learns at the hair shows too. I'm thinking about getting the fusion because I like her work and the price is good. Very pleased with my services. The prices are good, especially color and extensions. I'm used to paying $100 and up for color only and $1300 for fusion extensions. I'm not sitting in there for hours waiting on her to get started so that is a plus. I can get so many different services done all in one place. I felt it was time for a change, so I came here to get my hair done. I went a few times to the owner of a "trendy" Mandarin hair salon which I won't name, but left because of her cocky attitude and high prices. I was pleased with my color and extensions service and I didn't have to "give my first-born" as payment. The drive from Mandarin to Arlington is a bit much, for me, but I will DEFINATELY be back here. I recommended her to friends and collegues. I hope they can make the drive as well. Great work, great personality, professional, and appointments on time. Great hours! She's has got to be one of the hardest working stylists I know. You can get an appointment everyday but Sunday, all different hours. I was impressed with my extensions and color. I was able to do both without my hair fallen out. I'm pleased. I felt like I was at a nice little "Get-A-Way". The salon is set up with these little rooms for you to get serviced in. I came in to get the So Cap USA brand Strand by Strand (Fusion Extensions) and she did an excellent job. She knew what she was doing!!!!! I wasn't rushed over. The price was pretty good too. I'm very picky and hard to please. I came all the way from the Beaches area in on a whim to try her out. I looo-ved my hair! She doesn't just do blunt cuts and bland color. I'm a longtime customer and she has consistently given great professional service. She really cares about her clients hair and overall salon experience. She tells you how to maintain your hair. There's no inappropriate behavior going on like I've seen in at other salons I've been too. Drama Free! No showing up late or time consuming over-booked appointments either. Simply Different......Is a very neat concept. I saw this ad on CitySearch and I took a chance and came in all the way from Savannah to get my extensions done twice by Ms Darlene. Once she did the tape ones and last time she did the fusion strand ones. My hair looked real good and I like her personality and of course, the prices. She knows her stuff. I can say this place is worth the drive. more

Just to keep it simple, go and check her out. You'll like your hairstyle and the environment. Once you leave here, you won't want to go back to the crowded overbooked salons. It's worth it because you're in and out of there, not waiting all day. Pretty much on time with her appointments. She'll only handle 3 at a time in her suite so its very cozy and comfortable. more

I'm a new client not from here and I must say I was impressed. I loved my hair and l liked the price. Some places overcharge for extensions and she gave me the opportunity to choose the hair I wanted to use for my fusion, unlike some other places that triple the price the hair really costs. I like having options. Also, I liked the suites. It was nice to have my hair done in privacy. I don't want everyone knowing my "business". ;-) I want them to "think" I grew all of this hair. LOL It was interesting to see how diverse the salon is. You don't see too many stylists that can do so many types of ethnicities. She is one of a few. I really like the whole "Suite Concept". You can get your hair or other beauty services done in private. I was able to have my hair extensions done, without the stares you get in the typical salon. My hair looked great! I also had eyelashes put on and they looked SO natural. Darlene did a great job with everything! Worth every penny!!! The staff was very professional as well.
