Beary Best Academy-Children

This place is horribly run the director understaffs the school age programs and the actual program is like sending your kid to the wolves, especially in the summer. The kids run around supervised in groups of 25 kids to one counselor or ""teacher"". They punch, push and harass each other and the single adult cannot possible control that many wild children. Perhaps the children would settle if there were more adults to manage them and if there were crafts, organized games, and fun activities. There are a few nice staff members but some talk to YOUR CHILDREN as if they were worthless, they say things like ""I hate you"" then follow it up with a ""haha just kidding"" They do get to swim, which is great but other than that if they are on the ""black top"" or play ground they are hot and bored. Many kids cry and say they do not want to go there. If you are able to stay home with your child, do so...you only have a few years to be with them and shape their minds, habits and hearts...don't let a lazy day care director who won't hire enough caring individuals to manage your child's life be the main influence on them! more

Discrimination!!!! My 22 month old never had the chance to experience any care at Berry Best. During our tour of the facility, we informed them that she is not walking yet even though she is about to be 2 years old. Our daughter has Agenesis of the corpus callosum. The lady stated that she would be in the tots room but could not advance to the twos room until she is walking. We fell in love with the facility and called a day later to see what we had to do to register. When my husband called, he was informed by another lady that my daughter would have to stay in the infant room until she was walking but that he could call and talk to the director in the morning. We decided that was fine and he called and spoke to the director the following morning. She then informed him that our daughter could not come to their center for child care until she is walking. They have refused to even try her in either room. She is too old for the infant room but not able to go into the tot room either. Very frustrating that their staff has no clue as to their policies since 2 other staff members told us differently. The director was VERY rude to my husband. Obviously they are not about the children or willing to work with parents to find a solution. They are the ONLY center who had a problem with our daughters learning disability. more

I have worked at Beary Best for almost 2 years and love it. I feel I know the teachers I work with pretty well (at work and outside work) and do NOT know of anyone who would have such careless and unprofessional behavior. Most all of us have our own children enrolled and want the best for our children as well. The safety of the children has always been the first priority. I know that my background check was ran after my interview and they scheduled my fingerprints the first week. I would recommend to anyone interested in enrolling their child at Beary Best to PLEASE go by for a tour. You will be happy you did! more

Beary Best Academy Frisco is absolutely just that THE BEST! I had heard so many wonderful things about this school from coworkers and church friends. However, I wanted to see everything that was offered so we visited many of the centers in Frisco. Beary Best was by far the best place. Our kids love it. The teachers are very loving and even came to visit my niece when she was in the hospital. The Director, office staff and teachers are all so friendly and make you feel welcome everyday. They offer more for the children to do than anyplace. However, the main reason I am there is because my children are safe, happy, learning alot, and never want to leave. more

The building is beautiful.. that's about all I can say about this place. I've seen on numerous occasions my sons teacher out and about on the town, and she was clearly driving drunk and on another separate occasion i saw the SAME girl smoking out of a drug pipe driving in her car, and these were both very recent. I've never been so disgusted with a daycare center in my life. They hire people like this? I don't feel my childs safety is put 1st, not the slightest bit. I do plan on contacting BBB about certain things I've heard regarding employee backgrounds not coming in before they hire someone. more

My children had been at the same center for over 2 years and for several reasons, we wanted to make a change. From the first time we toured the school, we knew it was where we wanted our children. We were greeted by a very friendly staff and our children did not want to leave. My children have been enrolled for almost a year and they are very happy. There are so many things for them to do and they have learned so much. It WAS the BEST MOVE WE COULD HAVE EVER MADE for our children. more

My years at Beary Best Academy have been wonderful! My children love going to school each day and don't want to leave when I pick them up. They love their teachers and the many fun activities planned for them each day. My husband and I are amazed at what our children have learned. We highly recommend Beary Best to everyone!! more

From personal experience they would rather hire teachers that don't do anything so they can pay them nothing and once they get a teacher that does care and teach they move them around or fire them because their standard of learning that they pretend to pride themselves on is not what they want to pay for and not what they actually do. If you just need a baby sitter this place is for you however if you want your child to learn and actually learn to finish projects please go to another school. As soon as a child gets to know a teacher and start to thrive the teacher gets sent packing. Who knew that a teacher that actually cared enough to work with the children on their level and made sure they helped them learn wouldn't be appreciated! Pros: NONE Cons: WAY too much money for teachers that just baby sit and teach more
