Pathetic excuse for customer service 8/23/2010

I was in the store a while ago and the salesperson was a young man and all I can say is how unhelpful he was. It appeared to me as if he was bothered by questions and was not at all interested in assisting us. I hope that the next time I go in the attitude changes. In any event I hope to find what I need in other locations and avoid this place like the plague. If I were the owners of this shop, I'd consider giving the staff a lesson in customer service more

Beads Of La Jolla is ZERO STARS! 10/14/2009

Ignore the 1 star rating ~ I wish there was a ZERO STAR rating because Beads of La Jolla deserves ZERO STARS!!! I've lived in Bird Rock for 3 years and somehow never made it to Beads of La Jolla. Today I just realized I should have saved myself the trouble, it wasn't worth the effort! Today my friend and I (we LOVE beads!) finally decided to visit this store thinking we'd discover a new favorite bead place that we could frequent. Well, we were SHOCKED at the way we were treated ~ the two women running the store NEVER even acknowledged our presence the ENTIRE TIME we were in their store!!! Not even a "Hello", "How are you?" or "May I help you?" The women were snooty and uppity (shades of Julia Roberts during her shopping scene in Pretty Woman) and at one point the younger one with dark hair even TURNED HER BACK COMPLETELY to us and continued chatting to the older blonde one. Arts and crafts time 4/18/2009

I love going here especially in the summertime. There are so many interesting beads that you really cant find anywhere else! Its great for young kids but when you want to do something complicated you better have a lot of time on your hands! more

I really like this bead store because of their selection. The beads are a bit pricey here compared to other bead shops I've been to, but worth stopping by since they do have a unique selection. more

Great selection of beads 9/25/2008

My girls love this bead store. They have a large variety of beads, and also offer classes to help you become proficient in jewelry making. They are located in Bird Rock and there is usually easy street parking nearby. Their prices are pretty comparable to other bead stores. I wish they had a larger selection of silver beads to offer, but otherwise I enjoy the variety of stones they have. They sell some jewelry made by people who work there, and they also have catalogues to give you design ideas. more

They have a ton of beads - a ton - to choose from. They also have expensive stones, work tables, and binders full of ideas. The staff isn't always very helpful - the younger ladies are, but the older lady does not like to help. more
