As a vegetarian for 30 years and an Angeleno with a ton of vegetarian options (including high-end gourmet) in SoCal, I'm not a vegetarian novice! Usually I survive in OK on not-very-appetizing fare. But as I was staying in Tulsa for about a month, I did an internet search and found this place. It was bright and immaculate. When they brought me my dinner, I was struck by the presentation. It was pretty, reflecting a Vietnamese aesthetic. I had vegetable rolls that were not only gorgeous to look at, they were simply delicious. The peanut sauce - definitely not Thai - was out of this world. I also ordered the equivalent of Buddha's Feast with Tofu, one of my favorite dishes when I crave vegetables. It was the best Buddha's Feast I could remember eating EVER. The vegetables were fresh, beautifully cut and perfectly cooked. The tofu was delicious (I asked them to fry it). I definitely recommend this place. It has a lot of dishes with the Chinese ""fake"" meat. I've tried several Chinese restaurants in Monterey Park and Alhambra (authentic places packed with Chinese people, not Anglos) that specialize in these ""fake"" meats. They are not usually my favorites, but boy are they popular. Still, I plan to try several of those dishes at Be Le because the vegetable rolls I tried had ""fake pork"" and they were fantastic. Places in LA like Be Le are PACKED. I sure wish Be Le were here! Come on, Tulsans, catch on to this diamond of a restaurant! Great tasting, healthy fare, reasonably priced, and an tasty adventure to boot!
