This is a beautiful hotel in Des Moines. The rates are low for what you get like breakfast and pool. All rooms have microwaves and refrigerators. Pros: Hot Breakfast, Pool, Ga...

This was out 3rd year staying here. The staff was unbelievably helpful and fun. The hotel was very busy with several groups staying there. It was surprising how quiet the rooms were with all of the groups that were there. The beds were super comfortable, better that the one we have at home. I would recommend this hotel to anyone !!!! A+++++ I will be making reservations for next year as soon as the system will let me...... We did not use the pool or take part in the breakfast. more

We stayed during two nights during Thanksgiving and a big football weekend - Nebraska vs. Iowa. The hotel was full, but you wouldn't have known it. We found the room to be surprisingly quiet - and did not hear any noise while in our room. We found the room to be clean and quiet and very spacious. The one thing our room did not have that would have been nice was a desk. more

We had a great experience at this hotel, they provided transportation to and from the University Hospital Clinics, even paying for a taxi for return to the Hotel when the van used by the Hotel was not available. We are planning a return visit in January.. Excellent Breakfast, also have an evening meal.\r more

I am a nurse at the University of Iowa and my fiance is a police officer. I planned ahead for us to stay at the Baymont when I heard the blizzard was most likely going to keep us in Iowa City for a day or two. The woman at the front desk was phenomenal. She allowed us to check in at 8 AM when we just got off work, and she informed us of the continental breakfast AND lasagna dinner that was being provided for all the guests that were snowed in. It was so nice not having to think about how we were going to get food in a blizzard, so we greatly appreciated that.\r more

Hotel is very clean, location is great if you are doing anything in Iowa City. Only minutes to Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Breakfast is good and hotel even had a shuttle that gave us a ride down town! Excellent value! Will stay here again!\r more

Thank you for accommodating us and our date changes. We were pleasantly surprised on the amount of food available for meals. The pool was so warm it was awesome! The only negative was the poofy pillows. We usually travel with our own because we are picky. So - all in all I could not have asked for more! thanks.\r more

In Des Moines, I checked in to Baymont suite, it turned out to be the best stay I ever had for years. Stuffs were very friendly n helpful. They greeted customers whenever they met in the hotel even the housekeepers.\r \r I have a good time during my stays. I gave 2 tumbs up. Staff was great, room was very clean. There was a bar next door, as mentioned in other reviews, but even on a Friday night, I didn't hear a peep. My only negative was a lack of lighting in the room, even for a hotel! The coffee/fridge area was lit only by a stick-up LED light, and besides the bedside lamps, thre was only a one bulb fixture in the main room. Overall though, very clean, comfortable, and quiet. more
