One of Oregon's Best 6/27/2009

The Bay House is an elegant restaurant with an incredible view of the Bay that is only topped by food prepared to perfection every time and superb service. My husband and I have come here several time and the food is consistently exceptional - definitely one of the finest restaurant's in Oregon. Pros: incredible foot and service Cons: not closer to Portland :-) more

nice dinner 1/22/2009

This is a great place for a nice dinner out at the coast. Not your typical Lincoln City restaurant. Make reservations or call ahead as winter/week night hours can vary. more

overlooks Siletz Bay 8/23/2008

The Lincoln City Bay House is an upscale restaurant that overlooks the Siletz Bay. The dress is casual but it is a little expensive at dinner though the lunch prices are not too bad. The food is delicious and they specialize in seafood but have a little of something for everyone. more

fine dining 8/13/2008

A trip to Lincoln City isn't complete until you've been to the Bay House. Open only for dinner and unless you have reservations, you probably won't get in. The food is absolutely top notch and the presentation is pleasing. If you ever have the chance to dine there for Thanksgiving, don't hesitate. more

Impressive dining experience 4/29/2007

Two of us experienced a memorable dinner at the Bay House Restaurant in Lincoln City. The wine list is extensive and I kept it throughout the meal to get through it. Our food was excellent though quite expensive. We had lamb shanks and crab cakes for appetizers, along with their wonderful bread- chewy on the inside, crisp on the outside. Hawaiian prawns with risotto were heavenly, as was the salmon ordedred by my friend. The waiter was friendly and helpful, not a bit of snobbery for such a nice place. The view of the bay is enchanting- we watched 2 kayakers from afar, and water birds. We will be back when a special occasion calls for it. Pros: Food, service, view, wine list Cons: pricey more

Wondlerful Thanksgiving Dinner 11/28/2004

We dined at Bay house for Thanksgiving dinner and had a wonderful experience. We had heard mixed reviews from friends who had been there recently, so were pleasantly surprised. My wife had the sole which had a nice white sauce (though not overly exciting). I had lamb chops which were perfectly marinated and cooked. The side dishes (which were variations on traditional Thanksgiving dishes) were the highlight. The wine list was excellent and priced well. When the server brought my wife the wrong port with desert she brought out samples of all of them for us to try without charge - I appreciate that kind of service. Pros: service, attention to detail, wine list more

Great Bar and Happy Hour 9/28/2004

Was surprised to find that they now have a happy hour from 4PM to 6PM and 9PM to closing. When we arrived at 5PM on Wednesday also found that they had free wine tasting, wine was excellent, and the bar menu was reasonable. Wine was so good we orderred a couple of bottles. The view is spectacular but be aware that Dinner entre's are around $35 plus $9 for a salad. A little pricy for this economy. We noticed they are also serving lunch. The lunch items are reasonable for those on a budget, Halibut is $13 versus $37 for dinner. If you want a great happy hour with $6 bar food ( example: crab cakes, mini pizza, and sliders), then you won't be disappointed. Pros: View, Service more

Worst Service I've Ever Had 6/8/2004

My husband & I recently ate here for his birthday. While the food was good and the view wonderful, it was absolutely the worst service we have ever experienced. The waiter took 15 minutes to greet us and that was only after I asked the bus boy to send him over. When he did come to our table, he leaned on the table and said ""what can I get you?"" Never any mention of my husband's birthday. We had to track him down every time we needed anything. He forgot to put the birthday candle on my husband's dessert and then 15 minutes later said ""Oh yeah, I forgot about that."" It was a 2 1/2 hour dining experience that seemed like 5 hours. And the worst $100 we have ever spent. Pros: View more
