The best part was that I actually walked out of there with a really great deal (or at least they made me feel that way!). Of course, you stlil want to do your homework. I compared the price that I purchased my vehicle at with that on KBB, Edmunds, and eBay, and they definitely have very competitive prices! For any inexperienced or new car buyers out there, I'd definitely recommend Harte Subaru. more

I'm giving this rating because, my previous car interest rate was 21% 2005 Chevy Trailblazer, after going to Bertera Chevrolet, the finance manager in particular worked very hard and got me a deal on a 2008 Ford Expidition at 8%, I could not believe how great they were in assisting me. It was the best experience by far that I've ever had with any dealership. more

I give Bertara 5 stars all the way. My salesperson Charles and the manager steve were just awesome. I feel like I got a good price and I was in and out. Charles told me he would keep it quick since I new what I wanted already. All together I was there under 2 hours and I drove out in my WRX. The car is incredible and the parts dept. has been helping me hook it up with some really cool stuff like rims and a bigger turbo. I had some ideas what I wanted to do but the ladies in parts turned me in a totally different direction. The things I couldn't do myself there service guys told me just what had to be done. Thanks guys "and gals" lol John? more

They moved mountains 9/22/2010

I recently was in a serious car accident where my 2008 Tribeca was totaled, so I found myself once again on the internet trying to locate a vehicle for replacement. I went into this very skeptical as my last experience with another dealer was very dissatisfying to say the least. I spent allot of time and talked with many Subaru dealers around the country before settling with Bertera in West Springfield MA. The salesman Rich Santoni made it painless to find, negotiate and equip my new 2010 Tribeca. I will admit there were a few snags in getting the paper work to Florida timely but with all honesty from the moment the issue arose the entire dealership from our salesman Rich Santoni to the sales manager Chris, to the finance dept headed by Mary, they each bent over backwards, and moved mountains to not only speed things up, but make sure I was happy. I have received follow up calls to double ck if everything was satisfactory. It takes an honest business to find an issue and make it right with a smile on their face. That gives me confidence in their dealership and sales team. Thanks Bertera from Florida. more

The service at Bertera Subaru was excellent and sales person, Charles, was very helpful to finalize my selection. Any questions I had were all answered to my satisfaction. When I picked up the car the staff was very helpful in explaining the car's interior and exterior features. I believe the service representative was Steve who explained the car in detail. I had an excellent experience in buying my 2011 Outback. I will be returning for service and maintenance. Thank you for your assistance in purchasing this car.? more

A very kind service tech 9/10/2010

I want to give some words of praise for Joe , who went out of his way to assist my husband and me August 14th, 2010, after our car had been stranded in New York State while heading from New York City toward Boston. Just outside of White Plains, NY, The trouble lights flashed, the air conditioning stopped working, then the car stopped working. By law the highway we were on could not be used by the AAA tow trucks, so a non-AAA truck took us off the highway into Ryebrooke, NY> Then since we have AAA towing for 100 miles, we asked to be taken to a Subaru dealer in Hartford, CT (within the 100 miles, but closer to home). We chose Bertera. I called ahead to tell the service manager, Joe, our situation. On the phone he was responsive, supportive, and assuring. After several hours of waiting and being towed, we reached Bertera about 5pm, to find that Joe had waited for us past the 3 pm closing time and was there to help us. He opened the hood, competently checked over the car, then tightened a loose bolt that was causing an electrical problem. He had fixed it. After replacing a couple fuses and charging up the car, we ready to go. Joe also followed up by phoning me today to be sure we made it home okay. Thank you so very much for having such a supportive, capable manager as Joe on your team. We will never forget his Kindness and expertise. more

My Name is Sam and my fiance and I went into your dealership recently to look at the new Subaru Outback. We spoke with a sales man named Don. He was such the opposite of what I have dealt with in the past. I am used to the pushy type sales people that keep hounding you. Not the case at Bertera. Don was so friendly and was able to answer all my questions. We originally went there just to see the new model but Don explain the benefit of purchasing a new vehicle versus driving ours for another year. I felt like we were never made to just sit there. If Don left to get some papers there always seem like someone was there to just chat with us. We spoke with a manager (Dave) he was great. In all by the time we left I felt like I had a new group of friends. I have stopped in a few times since and they are always greeting us by name and willing to help us. There was none of that ""well they already bought a car so we don't have to talk to them"". I strongly recommend Bertera Subaru to all of our friends and family. more

I purchased a Subarua Forester (my first experience with car dealers) under a tight timeline and budget here, and couldn't have asked for a better experience. I worked with a gentleman called John, who was the opposite of my preconceived notion of a used car salesman. John was totally laid back, professional, and courteous. The best part was that I actually walked out of there with a really great deal (or at least they made me feel that way!). Of course, you stlil want to do your homework. The service was excellent from beginning to end 8/18/2010

My name is Lenny and I'm Connecticut resident. My wife and myself we are long time Subaru car drivers. One of our cars we bought in Springfield at Bertera Subaru in 2001. The last few years we did service on two our Subaru cars at Harte Subaru in Hartford. Yesterday and today we did the first service at Bertera Subaru in Hartford. We would like to say 'THANK YOU VERY MUCH' to all people who served us these two days!!!! The service was excellent from beginning to the end. GOOD JOB! The service manager Joe worked quickly and paper work process was a few minutes. Service was done at time with high quality. Both cars were cleaned and washed. Shuttle driver Sam did good work to bring me to work and back to the shop at time. He called me in advance and answered all questions. We are happy to see the first Bertera shop in Hartford and we hope to have the same excellent service at Bertera Subaru in the future also. more
