My Thai 7/7/2005

Bangkok Place III is the best thai restaurant in Houston! The atmosphere is comfortable, quiet, and elegant. All the dishes have such intense flavor and fresh ingredients. I almost always order the Fresh Spring Rolls (made with rice paper, cucumbers, clear rice noodles, cilantro, carrots, and served with peanut sauce), and the Mixed Vegetables with Chicken (which has a light sauce, crisp vegetables, and tender chicken). My dad usually orders Egg Rolls (not greasy and very crispy), and the Chicken Paneang (has green curry, with chicken and some vegetables, very spicy and flavorful). We have also tried the Peanut Chicken dish (excellent spicy peanut sauce, with fresh vegetables and tender chicken), the Mixed Vegetables with Rice Noodles, the Pad Thai, Cashew Chicken, Stir Fry Chicken and Broccoli, and the sticky rice is very good! Just one star for on the dish is plenty spicy, three stars and you'll be sweating! Pros: Quiet Atmosphere, Inexpensive, Friendly Service more

THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN HOUSTON!!!!! 6/29/2005

I LOVE this place. Best Thai food I have had in the Houston area and it's priced really well. You will not be sorry. It's more like real Thai than all of the other pseudo or trendy Thai resturants in the city. more

Excellent - Quiet - NEVER a wait 9/12/2004

This place is SO good - I highly recommend it to anyone. It is a great weekend dinner spot - a quiet atmosphere with excellent food and no waiting, ever! Try the Tom Kah soup - the fresh spring rolls are fresh and very nicely done - the sauce is wonderful. The fried spring rolls are also much better than average - light and crispy - not greasy at all. My favorite entrees are Thai basil (try the *** if you can handle the heat!), Honey Ginger Chicken, and the Pad Woonsen. The owner is a charming Thai gentleman and the service is efficient. The decor is simple, but nice: White tablecloths with Thai art and sculpture on the walls. Located off 249, just north of Willlowbrook mall - take the Spring Cypress exit - it's in a shopping center on the right. Pros: Fresh food, Quiet, Reasonably priced more

My favorite Take Out Place 9/8/2002

This is such a great restaurant, but not many people know about it. It's stuck in the middle of the strip on SH 249, and we were pleasantly surprised when we dined there the first time. They have such clean, fresh veggies, and the chicken was tender and good quality. My fav. is the fried Wontons for an app. and the Peanut Chicken for the main course. We also like their Green Curry Chicken and Thai Basil Chicken - both with a serious kick. Don't forget to try the Thai Iced Coffee! The service is always great - the lunch time buffet is good, but dinner or take out are their top performances. Pros: Quiet, Good Food, Inexpensive Cons: Location more
