Bailey Property Management

Being charged for things like blinds, fan, light bulbs, that were all unfixed when we moved in. The place was thilthy, I was cleaning every blind and vacuumed, scrubbed floor. Called to get electric fixed as most outlets were not working including outside lights. I had to insist the carpet that smelled of pee be changed. Also door handles would not lock and were busted. They came to fix it when we were gone and than left doors wide open... I was pregnant during this time. We had to go to MI to deliver my baby and was many complications so was away for a long time. After month in half evicted us cause had not paid rent. , which was fine and I have no problem paying the month we owe and utilities, but all the charges that we got over 400$ in items we wrote down when we moved in is horrible. And keeping deposit, full deposit of 1450 was a lot as well, if your keeping all that money and trying to get more that is just plain greed. They got a court order without letting us know, and handed it over to a debt collector company without even working anything out with us. Charged us ridiculous fees and won't work anything out with us. Very poor communication and service. My partner and I make enough to pay the rent but got behind because of baby delivery and my health weakness and they were not at all going to work with us. I understand it's a company. They said we could leave or pay 3k and stay I said well....we will leave because that is not possible right now. So I thought from the conversation that I was to look for another place and did, and they had a eviction notice written up and a cop deliver it? and then took all of it to court....so I was just surprised. It really didn't need to be done. Rented a lot and in large cities, this company was not one I would ever rent from again. And Cane and Weiner the company they were working with...wow...their was a nice lady Eda that was going to work a monthly payment with in reason to pay this off after we moved and another lady that just called me today and requested that we pay 2,400 in full by Friday...?? What an unreasonable request. Some people do not have thousands of dollars on hand...specially in these economic times, I'm thankful for the work we do have. And it gets better...She didn't believe me that I didn't have that amt of money on me right now...Please Lord where do these beings come from and somehow nudge them awake. People are doing the best they can right now especially with my little one. Anyway I had to write something because this company was awful. and charged us more than they should of and just kept adding ridiculous charges. Life happens...wasn't expecting to be away so long with baby, but I was and thank god I had a partner to be there with me. Rent is important, but not as much as a life. Please find better more awaken people to rent from, if their is an emergency or involves your family they will not work with you, and make up things to charge you that were already wrong with the place. I did not rent from Bailey. At the time I was looking for a house. While in their office the entire staff was very courteous. Everyone smiled and said hello. When I called back to see if they had a house yet, Junita remembered me and asked how I was, etc. Sometimes people get disgruntled but I have always heard nice things about the company and especailly maintenance. I truly wish I had been able to rent from them at the time. more

Great company, any problems I had where handled immediately. I am very satisfied with my house that I'm renting. I look forward to staying with them for years to come. Whoever wrote the bad review probably didn't pay their rent(ha ha), I highly recommend renting from them. more

The Bailey company let me move in to one of their apartments when I was down on my luck and nobody else would consider me. They worked with me on my rent and Beverly even wrote me a letter to help me get a new job. Juanita is always courteous on the phone and has taken care of any maintenance issue that I have ever had. more

I've had the unfortunate experience of renting two apartments from Bailey and have had negative experiences both times. After moving out of the first apartment, they tried to deduct money from my security deposit for carpet stains that were there when I moved in. Luckily, I had made a note of the stain when I did the initial walk through of the apartment, so they had no choice but to give me my full deposit back. Cons: Slow and dishonest more

The worst property management company I have ever experienced! Do NOT rent or allow this company to manage your properties. They have horrible customer service and could care less about what happens to your property. Their emergency line is useless. No one answers or even calls you back. Bailey Property Management is a good way to ruin your rental property. If thats what you are looking for then you've found the perfect company. If you rent from them then don't expect to get anything fixed without having to call multiple times for it and waiting a month or so. If the house floods you may as well put on your swimsuit for a few days because they won't be coming to fix it anytime soon. more

Where to begin ... this company has terrible customer service, they never call you back & they take on average about 3 to 4 months to get a vacant unit cleaned & ready to show. They use ancient software to produce there monthly cash flow statements which are about impossible to decipher. I feel like I have hired the Barney Fife of property management, it has been the worst decision I have ever made. STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! Pros: there aren't any Cons: i feel like i have been conned more
