Flexible class schedules 11/15/2012

Avila has been very helpful in my earning a graduate degree while holding down a full-time job. Their class schedules are flexible, making it easy for me to leave work at a desirable time and get to class in a timely fashion. Professors work with you one-on-one. Also, the university is located in a quiet, safe neighborhood, which means a lot when arriving and leaving class at night. It's just a great place to learn. I recommend Avila to anyone seeking a graduate degree. more

A great school with very helpful faculty 11/14/2012

The faculty and staff at Avila have really helped me during my time as a student. One of my professors actually met with me on a one-on-one basis after class several times. I was required to get an internship as part of my major and it led to a fullt-time job so I am very grateful. I would recommend Avila to students want to move forward. more

I would NOT recomend Avila to anyone 2/25/2011

This is HORRIBLE school. I'm pretty sure Avila posted fake reviews from Jan 3 and 4 on Google Maps and were written by Avila administrators themselves. My advice would be to look at the original 2 reviews on Google Maps that use words like "greedy," "thugs" and "Avila ought to be ashamed of themselves," I've never been so bullied in my life. I've never been lied to so much in my life. I've never been cheated out of so much money in my life. I couldn't find much honesty there nor compassion. I would NOT recommend this school to anyone. more

AVILA is a good University!!!I broke my hip there in ' 71 and I could not believe the kindness and support I received from the students and the faculty.I have now been working at the same job for almost 30 years with the federal government. Very good school 2/3/2008

This is a very good school; Professors were very friendly and always available for the students. The tuition costs are reasonable and I would definetely recommend them more

  • Avila University, founded in 1916 and located in Kansas City, Mo., offers a range of educational and extracurricular programs to students. The university has a student-faculty ratio of 12-to-1, with an average class size of nearly 20 pupils. It has more than 1,700 students and over 60 full-time teachers. The campus comprises 10 buildings, spread over a 50-acre area. Avila University offers 36 undergraduate majors, three graduate programs and three certificate programs. The largest majors offered include business, education, nursing, radiologic science, communication, psychology and art. The institution also offers a number of sports activities, including soccer, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, football, golf and cheerleading. Its library has a collection of more than 70,000 books and over 500 periodicals and newspapers.
