Two years later and I'm still feeling the effects of having my car serviced here. It was a 01 VW that needed a new timing chain tensioner. I should have correlated the cluttered unkempt disorganized appearance of the place to the service I was about to receive. I took it back three times for binding in the front suspension and excessive cooling fan noise. After the third time they repositioned a transmission bracket that had been installed wrong. The fan noise they convinced me was normal. A month later the AC compressor went out, at another shop we found the Auto-Haus had crossed the control wires for the two radiator fans and one of them they reversed the polarity on (this caused the fan to draw hot engine air over the AC cooler). Within two-weeks of getting it back from the Auto-Haus the left front CV joint fell out. They had damaged the radiator and replaced it with a less efficient aftermarket one. This one failed within a year - although it could have been because when Carl ""topped off"" my radiator he put in the wrong type of antifreeze. I didn't find this out until 3 months later when I was getting ready for a cross-country trip. (Green and Red make Brown Carl) No telling what other internal damage was caused. There were several hoses not replaced in their clamps and holders. The battery cover went missing. Ever since I picked up the van its had a valve tapping noise when its cold. An oil pressure switch they replaced had to be replaced a year later because it was cracked - don't know if it was a bad part or bad installation. The left headlight was also out when I got it back but that could have been coincidental. Until I could find a better place I'd rather deal with the super-over-priced Osteen dealership (they charge more than Dealers in LA California).
