Austin Party Machine

This DJ is the worst. He did not deliver the services we paid for. He is always late to respond to emails. NEVER answers phone calls. He’ll take your deposit then treat you with the worst customer service. We hired him for our wedding and there was a problem where he wasn’t able to hook his system up. He wound up using an IPOD dock. He did not refund our money as was agreed upon. After dodging out calls and emails he informs us that he will not be refunding our money since everything was our fault. He has no idea what professional behavior is. Don’t hire him! more

Fantastic. Kai, our DJ showed up on time, did a great job keeping us in the loop during the wedding and keeping us on schedule. She was the perfect DJ for our wedding. more

Austin Party Machine did a great job at our wedding. We loved the energy and selection of songs. Tim worked with one of my friends so that she could sing at our reception and I didn't have to do a thing. The lighting looked fantastic and the slideshow was a lot of fun. We thought Tim did a phenomenal job. He played all of our must play list and added a lot of his songs too. One of my friends commented, ""I want to go get some water but I can never get off the dance floor because all of the songs are so good."" Both me and Renee thought it was perfect. Very organized, he made the announcements that needed to be made, and kept the dance floor full all night long. Thanks Tim! more

I selected Austin Party Machine for my son's wedding and was thoroughly pleased with Tim Dill and his staff. The web site is easy to use and sending music selections back and forth was efficient. Tim was easy to reach by phone or e-mail also. He would even make certain that a specific version of a song we requested was on our play list. He walked through every part of our program with me to make certain the timing was correct. We used APM for both the ceremony and reception. When rain was threatening our outside ceremony, Presley, our DJ offered to do whatever I decided so his set up could be moved quickly to our indoor location. He provided very professional and experienced advice throughout the evening. We moved inside, changed the sequence of events to serve appetizers before the ceremony and Presley adapted quickly with background music. Throughout dinner he advised me of options that would move the entire evening back on schedule. My goal was to give my son and his new wife a magical evening and a fun party for everyone. The music was such an important part of the evening and I am so glad I had Presley and Tim to take care of it. more

I thought everything was perfect! I could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding. Tim Dill with Austin Party Machine did a WONDERFUL job. His website was easy to use, easy to select songs for my must play list, and every special song that I put on my ""must play list"" was played. Tim's site also has a break down of different lists of songs: First Dance, Father-Daughter Dance, Bouquet Toss, Garter Toss, etc. These were so helpful when I couldn't think of a song I wanted to used for certain big moments in the reception. Everyone said how great the music was! To top it off, Austin Party Machine's prices were the best I found. I would 100% recommend Austin Party Machine. more

Austin Party Machine provided excellent service for my daughter's wedding reception on July 2nd. Tim, worked with us to choose all of the music for the event and Presley did an great job of providing flawless service. Absolute great experience! Tim was wonderful and very helpful! He found specific music that I requested for my wedding ceremony, and even stayed an extra hour at a moment?s notice and found the music we requested for the reception! APM and Tim were great to work with! Tim was great at being available to talk to and meet with before the wedding so that I felt comfortable with the music lineup and the order of the wedding. Tim found some obscure songs that we wanted for the ceremony, which meant a lot to us. My husband and I loved the service provided by Tim and his staff. We were hoping for a simple but elegant wedding and Tim really got what we wanted. We were able to pick out songs from outside of the regular playlists and Tim supplemented them beautifully. He also made sure we didn't get any group dances (like we requested) but that everyone stayed on the dance floor. We're so happy with the service and would definitely go with Austin Party Machine again! more

Austin Party Machine did an absolutely fabulous job for our ceremony and reception. We always had excellent customer service whenever we had a question about anything. The DJ arrived early, and was very professional. Most importantly he had everyone dancing and enjoying themselves all throughout the evening. We had tons of compliments on how great the music was. I have nothing but good things to say about this company. They did an outstanding job in preparing a timeline of the evening including all the music selections we had. Also, the DJ did a fantastic job of keeping the night flowing(making announcements, playing music that kept everyone dancing), so we didn't have to worry about a thing! I was first attracted to Austin Party Machine to DJ at my wedding because of the price and the fact they were voted Best Wedding DJ on Citysearch for 2007(or so they said on their website) . At first, I was pleased with their customer service and they would always return my phone calls within a day or two.\r \r But then the day of the wedding arrived....\r \r 1) My matron of honor called as me and my new husband were on our way to the reception after the ceremony and told me the DJ was NOT THERE!!! Of course, I panicked. It was 3:30 and he was supposed to be there at 2:45. All of our guest had already arrived at the venue. She called him to see where he was and he told her he had car trouble that morning. If he knew he was going to be late, why didn't he try to get a hold of me or my parents??? I had my phone with me all day, but he never called. He arrived shortly after that, so our limo had to circle around the block about 10 times so he could set up before we walked in.\r \r 2) We had given him a list of songs to play at the reception, but he failed to play all of them. Instead he decided to play ""Baby Got Back"" and "" Come on ride that train"", even though we had told him no rap music.\r \r 3) According to some of the guests at the wedding, they saw him sleeping behind the DJ table. I did not witness this so I can only report hearsay. But I would hope my friends would not make that up.\r \r 4) At 8:00, he came to me and asked when we would be leaving....as if he was ready to go because 8:00 was when his contract ended. BUT HE WAS 45 MINUTES LATE!!!! We were waiting on the horse and carriage to arrive so we could make our departure, but he seemed like he was ready to go.\r \r So my recommendation would be to use another DJ for your event because, unfortunately, we did not have a good experience with Austin Party Machine. Don't know the rave about this company! First off they're excuse for everything is they have another job outside of their DJ job and they will help you as they get a chance when they are at home and can go over everything. Couldn't get a hold of Missy or anyone until 36 hours before the wedding. I was assured that I would get a phone call back and no one called, so I then had to get upset and explain to them that my wedding was in 3 days I need to speak with someone today! I was then told that Tim would be our ""new"" DJ after being told Missy would and on the day of Missy showed up. This was the only thing I stressed about, and I should not have had to worry about this at all. They even got some of the requested songs wrong and so we had to go over that again. I would not recommend this DJ service to anyone!! They are not customer oriented and Missy doesn't DJ well at all. Also, you are responsible for providing them with a table and skirted table cover. This company DJ'd for our wedding reception. We had a male DJ and we were pleased with him, but the service was terrible. The owner Missy was our music coordinator and she was never accessible through email or phone as promised when we had the initial meeting. They tout excellence on their website, but fall short and left me stressing about my music until the day before the wedding when I finally got a phone call.
