Athena Salon & Spa

I've been to Athena a couple of times now and have had my hair cut by the same high-ranking stylist. The first cut was great--literally the best haircut I've had in years. The second time I went, I told the receptionist I was on a tight lunch schedule and she assured me I'd have plenty of time. Thirty minutes after my scheduled appointment time I was finally getting my hair cut, with several interruptions along the way and a so-so result. My last time going will literally be just that--my last. A request for "one inch off" turned into three inches, and I had to almost beg her to stop before my bangs got any shorter. There were again several phone calls and interruptions, even though the reception staff was there. I felt as though I was an afterthought rather than the focus, which is not something you want to feel at these prices. Although the stylists are talented, there's just too much distraction and not enough attention paid to the customers. more

Have been there several times and was also referred by a friend to Liz, good job, and they have Aveda products that are pretty cheap compared to other place. A little pricy, but you get what you pay for, excellent service and they really take care of you, your hair will show it. more

I've been getting my hair done at Athena Salon & Spa for about 3 years. Mary, the owner is great. She tend to stay busy and you may have to wait for an appointment but it is worth the wait. They use and sell Aveda products. The salon always smells so good when I walk in. They also offer massage services. I would definately recommend this salon. more

About a year ago I was referred to Liz from a friend. I have curly hair that can be ruined if it is not cut right. Liz has curly hair as well and knows how to cut it. She goes above and beyond the call of duty by even straightening my hair. Appointments are easy to make. The staff is wonderful. I would suggest you try this salon for great, professional hair care. more
