Saw Black Dynamite here...Uh-mazing.

Worst

I don't understand either... I went on accident. I didnt realize the matinee was $11. Who would have believed that? This is a touristic, overpriced, crappy theater. Going into it ...

Best theatre, hands down.. 1/17/2006

Yes, it is true. And I am a movie junkie, so I've been in a few. Ojk, hopw do I go about this without sounds completely crazy? Hmm. Ok, so I can't. Let's start at the beginning. When you walk in there is a freaking restaurant inside (ok, this IS Hollywood-but still). And the food is great. Ok, one star for that. Next, when you pay for your tickets, you can choose where you want to sit. No, not the regular way. I mean that right there, while paying, you can pick your seats. Star #2. Now where would you be in a movie with no popcorn? Lost, right? Well, the popcorn gets TWO stars for being the best popcorn you will ever have. Not overly buttered, salted or overly anything else. PERFECT. Fully popped, no kernels at the bottom of the bucket. Friggin' made by angels, I tell you. Yes, I am serious about my movie experience. Ok, so now we get to the seats. Best. Seats. Ever. How about padded armrests big enough for TWO arms (unless you're on a date with Vin Diesel)? Check. Reclining seats? Check. Armrests that lift up do you can put your arm around your date/child/just because you want to? Check. Perfect seating. And no worries about the person behind you kicking your seat all night, since they put ample room between the rows of seats. FIVE STARS, people!!! Go to no other theatre if you can get here. more

Great Theater 8/19/2005

This is a great theater to watch movies, here you can really feel the emotions and the sounds are spectacular. ALthought the prices are a higher compared to other cinemas it's more than worth it because this cinemas is a specialty theater. Even though the market has slumped this theater has shown an increase on its revenues due to its innovations that are attracting loyal moviegoers. more

Best Theater in the world. 7/25/2005

You cannot beat the Arclight if you're looking for the best movie experience in LA. It is the largest movie theater I've been to and every seat is an awesome "captain's chair" for utmost comfort while watching the movie. Although the restaurant attached to it is kind of sub-par. Still, HUGE theater! Great! more

  • It's hard to miss this eye-catching cinematic landmark just west of Sunset and Vine. Home to the Cinerama Dome--the geodesic-shaped theater originally built in 1963--this multiplex has all the modern amenities moviegoers have come to expect. Reserved seating? No problem. Pick your seats ahead of time, print the tickets and forget about waiting in line. (Although you can kick it old school and buy tickets directly at the "departure board" if that's your thing.) Comfortable seats? You bet. The plush recliners offer three extra inches of seating space compared to other theaters and the adjustable armrests allow you to cozy up next to your partner. (If you want to, that is.) Gourmet concessions? Absolutely. Choose from popcorn with (real) butter, fresh-made caramel corn, apple-sage chicken sausages and plenty of candy. There's also an onsite restaurant and bar (which, incidentally, provides cocktails for the special 21+ screenings) and a cool gift shop. On weekend nights there's a coffee and tea stand where guests can grab a hot drink and Susina cookie before the show. Once you're in, get ready for the ushers to guide you to your seat and introduce each screening with a short speech.
