The fish was among the freshest I've had, including at restaurants in Tokyo, Kyoto, San Francisco, and New York. Service at the counter was stand-offish at first (as in most top sushi places), but quickly warmed up. Engage the chef politely, and he will make original creations, with surprising results, just for you. We left with good feelings about the place, and will be back.
