As You Like It

Ive been going to a Barber shop my entire life, and felt like it was maybe time to try something new. I heard about as you like it from a friend who loved it so I decided to give it a try. Trust me you will not be disapointed. Babs gave me a great haircut! I was worried about the atmosphere, you know transitioning from a Barbershop to a Salon, but the atmosphere and conversation was excellent. So the next time you want to try something new give Babs, and As You Like It, a try. The only gripe I have with the experience is parking is a little difficult at peak Mount Adams hours. more

Babs has been cutting my hair for five years now. She's like the mayor of the Hill -- knows everybody and welcomes everyone with a smile and a sincere concern for how they're doing. It's like getting a small dose of mom or that redheaded girlfriend you always dreamed about (depending on your age) every five weeks. I get it cut short, so it's simple, but she always does it with care and concern for my look. Makes appointments and doesn't mind changes. We're discussing ""going long,"" and she's supportive and has great ideas. If you need it, she'll even dispense a little life advice along with the wash and cut. Pros: Babs is great, clean, appointments are easy, parking on street nearby Cons: My wife likes to tell people that I pay more for my haircut than she does. more

To all those out there searching for a better hair experience!\r \r I recently arrived in the area, not knowing what to expect of this Midwest city of Cincinnati. But one the first ports of call is undoubtedly where to find a great salon. And funnily enough, I found it right on my doorstep in Mount Adams! It?s a quaint little place called ?As You Like It?. Admittedly, its not at the same scale as a chain, but what many people crave is that connection to a place, where people remember you, get to know you personally and give you a stylish cut all at the same time! It?s located on Saint Gregory, so its very close to a lot of other small businesses and restaurants to extend your pleasure time in the area. From the first very first time you enter, you detect something special about the place. It has a warm and familiar feel, and all the stylists are genuinely happy to welcome all that enter. \r \r I arrived in August, and have been going back ever since. The people there are a delight to talk to, have lots of hair experience, so I feel completely at ease from the moment I sit down for my hair trim. I only have good things to say about this place and would highly recommend them to anyone whose seeking the personal touch. \r \r I promise, you?ll be happy you made the call!\r Pros: Ambience, warm atmosphere, great staff Cons: None I can think of more
