You really can't visit Philly and not visit the cultural goodies. This place is top on the list to hit up. There's something for everyone here and tons of stuff to see. I've been there a few times, Sundays or Wednesdays seem to be the least crowded days. You can spend hours in there, and if you ask me it's a nice place for a date. more

Nice way to spend a Sunday 2/5/2006

It's hard to believe there's people in this city who haven't spent a day looking at all the wonderful pieces in the Philadelphia Art Meuseum. Spanning many cultures, times, and types of art, it's a great place to spend a Sunday (with discounted admission, too) and take in the sights. They have something for everyone. While the commissary is overpriced (what Center City eatery isnt?), you can just grab a bite to eat before or after. Hell, it's worth seeing just for the Rocky steps. more

Something for everyone 1/17/2006

When you think "art museum" you think lots of paintings, right? Well, the Philadelphia Museum of Art has that and more! They have armor and mummies! These always delight kids. And they have clothing and furnishings. It takes more than just 1 visit to appreciate all the Art Museum has to offer. Be sure to check out their Friday night music series! more

Absolute heaven 1/15/2006

THe art museum of Philadelphia is one of the best museums in the world. No matter how big you think its from the outside from the inside this place can be daunting. You pretty much have to start at one end early in the morning and pretty much run the entire time and you might be able to see all the exhibits. i love their little sets they have made throughout. here you can appreciate art the way it was originally meant to be seen. they even have an entire indian temple from the 15th century rebuilt inside the museum. i could go on but it would be easier to just stop by and visit. more
