Takes you back in time! 4/15/2009

This B&B is perfect for those who are looking for a place to get away. It takes you back in time. The mansion is full of antiques and is just beautiful. It has an old fashion feel. My husband and I have gone here for our anniversary the past two years and will definitely be back. Pros: Beautiful Rooms Cons: It got a little toasty, opening a window fixed the problem. more

Would not go back or Recommend. 4/13/2009

Unfortunately this bed and breakfast did not live up to its reputation. The bed linens were soiled from the previous guest?s escapades, the room did not have heat and the service was terrible. Upon check out a manager was not available to speak with regarding the poor stay. After numerous calls over a month of time I finally gave up trying to speak with management. Please save your self the displeasure of staying at this bed and breakfast. Pros: Location Cons: Cleanliness and Service more

Birthday Bliss 12/7/2008

I set up a surprise weekend for my wife's birthday and it was incredible. The history the antiques, clean rooms, great service and the food still makes my mouth water just thinking about it. We stayed in the May room and it was a wonderful evening. When we come back it will be difficult to decide lwhich room to stay in. more

great breakfast and very romantic 10/15/2008

My wife and I stayed in the June room at the Armstrong Mansion and really enjoyed it. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was great. The tub in the room was huge. We would go back and will tell friends to stay there. Pros: breakfast, romantic, friendly staff, location more

Wonderful week-end getaway 6/24/2008

My husband and I stayed in the October room which was beautifully decorated with antiques and on the lowest level of the mansion. We had the best sleep in the comfortable king size bed. The service was great and the food excellent. The architecture of the mansion was amazing, a beautiful example of Victorian era. If you need a quiet and relaxing experience, I would recommend the Armstrong. Pros: Beautiful decor, lovely food, friendly service Cons: No internet connection in room. more

Victorian beauty with a lovely breakfast to match 5/29/2008

The mansion seemed like taking a step back in time. Warm cookies greeted us at the check-in desk, as well as a warm, friendly smile. The inn is right in the heart of down town. Only two or three minutes to Trolley Square. Temple Square is about a mile and a half away. The Breakfast was devine. A hot quiche, english triffel, cinnimon rolls, fresh cut fruit bowl, bagels, coffee, hot cocoa, granola....it was delicious. I had a difficult time not overeating. My husband and I had a wonderful, relaxing time. We will be back to stay again soon! more

Intricate Details! 5/27/2008

The mansion was beautiful with lots of details. The bed was soft and HUGE. The jetted tub was nice and very large. They had a great breakfast with lots of things to choose from, it was yummy! Very romantic place to go! more

Great Food, horrible rooms. 5/27/2008

Great food, but horrible rooms. This hotel is very misleading in its advertising. The pictures made our room seem very nice, but when we arrived we were disappointed to find that it was the size of a prison cell. Plus the jets on the tub did not work, there were 3 TV remotes and none of them worked, they didn't provide any bath towels and there was mildew and peeling paint around the bath tub. My allergies were very bad because of the dust and mildew and you can't get ice in the building for water. They also don't have showers, so don't plan on getting very clean. Overall it was a horrible experience and I will not go back. Don't waste your money. Stay at a nice hotel downtown and go out for a nice breakfast. The $200+ spent on this hotel is not worth it. Pros: Great Food Cons: Small rooms, Dust, Mildew, No Showers, Tub doesn't work, No Towels more

DO NOT STAY AT THIS B & B 3/27/2008

We were very disappointed with this B & B. We had a package deal and one part had been cancelled because of the weather. We called this B & B and explained the situation. Unfortunately, we were billed for the entire price of the room and did not receive a call back from the B & B saying that was what they intended to do! We have told all our friends, family and anyone who asks for a great place to stay while in town - NOT TO STAY AT THIS B & B! Pros: It looks great on the website Cons: The staff is rude and unprofessional more

The most romantic bed & breakfast in SLC! 6/4/2007

The Armstrong Mansion is beautiful in every way! Personable service, great attention to detail (they put rose petals on our bed!), delicious gourmet breakfast, beautiful & romantic rooms-perfect for honeymooners or anniversaries, or just a lil' get-away, and they are great with children! They are in deed very family friendly. They host fabulous parties-the Who Dunnit Murder Mystery Dinner is so much fun! The weddings they do there are gorgeous! For what you get, they are very reasonably priced. They really care about their guests, and do whatever it takes to make the stay more comfortable and memorable. Thank you Armstrong Mansion! Pros: Food, the rooms, the jacuzzi tubs, the ambiance, the hosting of events, service, price Cons: not enough rooms! (there's only like 20 rooms, they should make another hotel it was so good!) more

Perfect!!! 8/3/2003

I brought my boyfriend here for his Birthday and we had a great stay. Everyone was very friendly and our room was amazing. We stayed in the August room, and while the bedroom itself was small, the tub on the upper level made up for it. we enjoyed a bubble bath, some good wine, and cookies from the lobby. Breakfast was also great. Thanks! more

two nights of heaven 1/15/2003

My husband and I stayed in the August Retreat for our honeymoon. We were short on cash and did not have the money to go anywhere. The Armstrong Mansion was perfect. It was romantic and still away from the husel & busel of everyday life. We hope to go back very soon. more

to steal a phrase..light the fire within 9/24/2002

you have got to check into the suite with the spiral staircase leading to the turret. There, in the turret looking out over the city, you will find a a large jacuzzi bath...very romantic! more

loved it! 8/26/2002

This is such a romantic cozy B&B! I felt the rooms at Aniversary Inn were cheezy, so we choose to stay here. The February Room was so wonderful, with the private bath tub for 2! My husband and I go back for every special occasion! more
