I have used Arizona Pet Resort for the past few years. When it is hot, I travel. I live in Paradise Valley but it is worth the drive. The kennel staff is great and everyone tries to accommodate my pets and my family when we use the boarding services. It is nice that they have the Veterinary clinic onsite in case of an emergency. What a horrible boarding place and 4/30/2012

What a horrible boarding place and horrible vet! Dr Gniadek has the worst bedside manner and misdiagnosed my dog. The owners are the WORST when it comes to customer service, they are defensive and totally unwilling to hear any complaint, quick to jump to conclusions and blame YOU. This place is terrible and I would not use them again. I tried them for boarding and saw the vet and was sorely disappointed in both services. The vet couldn't even get the gender of my dog right, kept calling him ""she"" when it was a male. Duh. more

Arizona Pet Resort is full of really wonderful and personable people. 3/9/2011

I have been going to Arizona Pet Resort for six years. I send my dog to doggie day camp there and take my two cats to the vet. They all love it there. They also have a groomer which I use too. And I've boarded my animals there too, and it's good knowing my animals are in a safe place being well taken care of while I'm away. I really like that the people that work there know my pets. The atmosphere is really nice, I don't feel like I'm just being treated like a number. These people care. more

I highly recommend Arizona Pet Resort for any animal lover! 3/7/2011

Puddy has been going to the Arizona Pet Resort for six years now and he loves it! I love it too! At camp, Puddy has access to a fun play area, vets, groomers and all of the staff. They take time to exercise him by running and playing with him. They even let him nap when he gets tired. He has medical issues, and they keep an eye on that and take really good care of him. I know that Puddy gets special attention there. I know he's completely safe and comfortable there too. He gets so excited when he knows he's going there. I love that I get a report card which lets me know what he does, who he hangs with, how he's feeling etc. I think that's what's really special about that place, but all of the animals get special treatment. I can't say enough good things about Arizona Pet Resort. They even throw parties for their animals and their owners! Everyone that works there is amazing. They employee people who truly care about animals. Puddy & Diane Schladweiler more

The staff is GREAT! 10/26/2010

My pet got very ill and I havent been to a vet in awhile and found out about Arizona Pet Resort through a friend. As soon as I walked in the door I felt very comfortable. The front desk comforted me because I was a wreck. Everyone was great and now my little pooch is feeling all better thanks to Arizona Pet Resort. The great thing is I can get everything done there, they even have a doggie daycamp (FUN) and a groomer. more

Bow WOW! 8/4/2010

I discovered Arizona Pet Resort from their coupon in Val-Pak, and I couldn't be happier! The owners, doctors, and staff are very involved with all the customers and pets. My dog's ears perk up whenever we turn onto Curry! He can't wait to get to Arizona Pet Resort and see all of his friends! I would definitely recommend them to anyone that wants the very best for their pets! more

I take my dog which is four years old, and she loves the place, the people, and the other dogs. It is such a great atmosphere. I love the fact that I get greeted as soon as I walk into the building same with my dog. She gets treats when she walks in. They are so clean, there lobby is sparkling, the employees are constantly having a smile on there face. I love the fact that you can tell they love there job. Thats great because there for by dog is getting treated like royalty. more

Pet Resort & Staff are Great 8/4/2010

After living in SD for several years with pets and in need of veterinary services, this staff and comfortable atmosphere remind me of my former vet staff. When you walk in everyone knows me and makes me feel comfortable and safe about leaving my dog. My dog has gone to AZ Pet Resort for grooming, vet services, shots, and they found an auto immune deficiency in him when he was 2 yrs. old (my dog is now almost 7)which is completely under control now with the help from the staff and vet when he needs new medication. They call and remind me of when he needs blood work, etc. (which is every six months) which is great because I don't always remember everything. Puddy also goes to doggie day camp at least once a week for five years. He has never come home with a scratch or bite on him. Just always worn out from playtime. I am not sure what some people consider professional, but I call them professionals, friendly and one of the best places I have taken my dog to (and I tried four vets in six months).Puddy also enjoys going to camp for the day and when asked if he wants to go to camp, he runs to the gate and barks to let me know he's ready to go. The minute he walks in he's also greeted with pets and hugs. What more can an owner ask for! more

Very unprofessional staff??...(I should have read reviews) 6/30/2010

You get what you pay for. My wife and I were new to the valley and began going to this facility as a result of their reduced cost vaccines and services on certain days of the week. Fairly average on every level of service. Recently, after some miscommunication through phone calls to several of their employees and one owner (""the wife"") regarding heartworm medication that would have lead to roughly 140 dollars worth of additional cost, I called back to gather further insight and/or ask for a discount as a result of their error. DAVE THE OWNER (""the husband"") SECRETLY PUT ME ON SPEAKER PHONE WITH THE EMPLOYEES AND ""THE WIFE"" IN THE BACKGROUND. Quite professional. Sadly, now that (""the boss"") was listening the wife and other employees' stories changed after I realized they were listening in only because they broke out into a nervous laughter when I said verbatim what they had told me. The conversation continued only to end with me asking Dave if his denial of the situation was insisting that my wife and I were liars and making this all up to save 140 dollars. He said yes, we were liars. Again, professional. As I have previously stated, if you want to save some cash, their services were average. Unfortunately, they could learn a lesson in loyalty and obedience from some of their ""clients"". Next time we stop by, its only to let my dogs piss on thier building Pros: Moderate pricing. Cons: Unprofessional, amateur, rude, and inept staff and owners. more

They Injured My Dog 5/21/2010

My dog is very important to me. I left him at AZ Pet Resort for 5 days and paid $260 (ridiculously high price!). I thought this was very expensive, but wanted my dog to have a nice experience. When I picked him up, he had a gash/cut on his eye which is turning into a scar. His entire back was scratched, scabbed and bleeding. His legs we cut and his tail is so badly mangled that he now snarls when I put my hand near it. This is a dog that has never bitten anyone in his life. A woman ended calling me back (who was nice), but she had no explanation and I felt that to be unacceptable. I should have at least got some of all that money I spent back. My dog is like my child...this hurt my feelings. I would never be out to damage the reputation of a business attempting to help animals, but these people are phoney.\r \r On a final note. I belive the reviews wrote on Arizona Pet Resort are done by the owners to cover up all the complaints. GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK! Pros: Would not recommend Cons: Cut and Injured dog with no explanation. Cruel. more

Great Service and doctors 1/30/2010

I started going here on the recommendation of a friend. They are resonably priced and really care about my pet. I have seen the doctors 3 times. Very caring! The front desk is friendly and greets me as soon as I arrive. I have had them watch my dog and cat several times and was surprised at how clean the area is where they stay. My dog acts like he loves it there and jumps out of the car and runs to the door as soon as we arrive. \r \r I am so happy and would highly recommend them to my friends. Pros: Warm loving, friendly staff Cons: I can't find any more

Look no further! This is it!!! 1/25/2010

Once in a while I have been lucky enough to find a business that gives me everything I need and has great employees as well. That is the case with Arizona Pet Resort! They have a super friendly and customer service oriented front desk! All I can say is WOW! I recently boarded my dog and cat and was pleased with the cleanliness of this place. While boarding I had their teeth cleaned, saving me making another trip and stressing out the pets.\r \r If you are looking for a veterinarian, a clean and spacious place to take your pet while you travel or a groomer that is second to none, look no further! This is it!!! more

Love the Sunday hours 1/24/2010

I travel in and out of Phoenix and I do appreciate the Sunday Afternoon hours. Most pet boarding locations are closed on Sunday. Great Fan of Arizona Pet Resort. more

Great Doggie Day Camp 1/19/2010

Arizona Pet Resort has a great Doggie Day Camp Staff and I receive a Daily Report Card on what my Collie did at Day Camp. When I turn onto Curry Road she becomes alert waiting for the front desk staff to greet her and me. I highly recommend the Day Camp Services. more

Love the Staff and Service 1/19/2010

I have been using Arizona Pet Resort for the past two years and they have been providing great loving care for my two pets. I have a family emergency over the holidays and the staff was very accomodating. more

Lack of professionalism and low standard of care 12/15/2009

After seeing this staff in action I must remark that I have not observed a lower level of professionalism nor a lower standard of care. If your pets are boarded just about anywhere else they will be treated better and have cleaner quarters. The quality of veterinary healthcare is equally low. Good luck if your pet is treated here or boards here. Pros: cheap prices Cons: low standard of care more

lack of professionalism 6/27/2009

I was looking for a place to take my dog. I will definitely not be bringing my dog here! Why is the owner rating her own facility? Why is she giving out names of dissatisfied customers? This paired with the negative comments from other owners tell me to steer clear of this place! The owner should learn some professional practices! Pros: none that I can see Cons: unprofessionalism more

Great Daycamp, but beware of boarding on a Saturday night 6/24/2009

My dog LOVES daycamp and it's by far the least expensive day camp in that location especially if you buy the package. My dog plays all day with other dogs and they make sure that the other dogs are vaccinated and socialized. \r \r I did try boarding my dog last Saturday night and was extremely taken back by the bill when I picked him up on Sunday. They have a policy that if you don't pick your dog up by noon, they will charge you an extra day. Well, they're not actually open until 3pm on Sundays, so not matter what, you get charged DOUBLE on a Saturday night. What really doesn't make sense to me is that if you pick the dog up by noon on Monday, you get charged the same price as if you picked them up on Sunday. If you're going to board there, skip the Saturday night boarding or at least take an extra day of vacation because you're going to be paying for the boarding anyway. Pros: Daycamp! Cons: Saturday night boarding price more
