One of my favorite places 8/3/2006

The Appleton Public Library is one of my favorite places to spend time. I could spend hours just walking through their fiction section, picking out books that I might enjoy. They have a nice selection of DVDs and videos also. The children's section is large and widely used. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I usually get all my new release DVDs from the library since it is so much cheaper than going to the video store! more

The Appleton Public Library Such a library! It puts my previous local library to shame. A tremendous selection of books, magazines, newspapers, audio and video tapes, compact disks, etc. The staff is friendly and competent. The Appleton Library is located at 225 N Oneida St. 920-832-6173 more

Public library 9/4/2005

Appleton Public Library is not a huge library, but very sufficient for this area, especially where research can be done via the internet. The library has a very neat and clean appearance interior and exterior. They have a great selection of magazines, videos and children's books. You are able to renew your items on their website, so you don't have to actually go to their location to take care of that. They have a very nice summer reading program for the kids where the kids can earn prizes for readying. more

Library 8/14/2005

Appleton Public Library does not have the best location. It is in downtown Appleton, which is by business office, but not much else. You also have to pay to park. The library itself is great, though. They are quite large for such a small community. They are especially great for children. They offer a large selection of children's videos, both on dvd and vhs. They also have an extensive book collection for children. They have a great summer reading program to encourage reading all summer long, with a nice pizza party at the end of the summer for the kids. more

The Appleton Public Library is a huge library,it is three stories high and also has a wonderful kids section with their own restroom. They have a large train that the kids can sit in an relax in the cushioned cars and read books or they can listen to tapes. They have a variety of programs through out the year to get kids interested in reading. They have a large media section with movies and music that can be checked out to be brought home for us to use. There are computers available for your use, copiers, and even private rooms that can be used for studying. there is a big enough parking lot an it is in the heart of appleto9n which makes it easy to get to. more

Great Library 8/7/2005

The Appleton Public Library has a wonderful selection of items. They have a huge reference section on the second floor, larger than a lot of libraries. They also have adult fiction and non-fiction, kids area, teens area, many magazines, and a media section. The media section contains a variety of cds, movies, and educational and instructional videos. They have almost anything you could look for. And what they don't have they will ship from a sister library at no cost to you, and let you know when it is there for you to pick up. more

Ultimate Library 8/7/2005

Appleton Public Library is a huge library, three stories. It has a wonderful kids section with their own restroom. They have a large train where kids can relax in the cushioned cars and read books or listen to tapes. They have a variety of programs all year round to get kids interested in reading. They have a very large media section with movies and music that can be checked out for home use. They are very helpful at the information desk with any subject you are looking for information in. There are computers available for your use, copiers, and even private rooms that can be used for studying. They have a very large parking lot, so parking is never a problem. They are centrally located in downtown Appleton. more

Great Summer Programs 8/7/2005

The Appleton Public Library offers wonderful reading programs for the kids during the summer. If they readso many minutes or so many books they get a stamp worth six points. They can use those points to collect prizes, or save them to add up for a bigger prize. It really motivates kids to read in the summer. This is all located in the kids area, where they have a variety of books to choose from and a reading train where they can sit and read. The library also has many materials for everyone else in the family. more

Great Selection 8/7/2005

The Appleton Public Library has a great selection of books, videos, cds, and magazines. They have two floors full of these items. There is a large children's area with toys, movies, books, computers, and the reading train. It has a few cars that you can sit in and read. There is a teen section with books appropriate for that age. They also have several reference books on the second floor. Parking is a little difficult since the lot is small. That also makes for more near accidents. more
