I have been trying for a while to get them to either give me my dogs records or fax them to the new vet but they won't. They are ""claiming"" confidentiality issues. What confidentiality issues????? She's MY dog! This place is a joke. more

IF you want your beloved pets to live a great life bring them to any where but Animal Kingdom. I have been bring my 2 dogs there for years and a year and a half ago my one dog died because of her. She misdiagnosed his issues and was told by another vet that he may have been able to save him if I had brought him to the other vets in Sault michigan. Dr Anderson is pretty much the Dr Kevorkian of the Dog and cat world. She does not know what she is doing at all. Now since my other dog is alive she tried to overdose her until we said enough and when we told her that we wouldn't give our dog the drugs she provided than she would not have our dog as a patient there anymore. No problem went to Sault Animal Hospital and they confirmed what we thought. They said that she didn't need the drug and if she continued we could have lost another dog. To this date our other dog is living her life to the fullest I just wish I could have seen the lite quicker maybe my other dog would still be here. I also just talked to a friend that had there cat cremated there well guess what they lost the cats body than call back 2 months later saying they found it now my friends don't even know if the ashes are even there cats ashes. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM DR. ANDERSON IF YOU WANT YOUR CAT OR DOG TO LIVE THERE FULL LIFE. SHE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ANYTHING BUT HERSELF. All of us should go after her with a malpractice suit and get her out of killing more pets. more

Boy, Seems my prior comments were removed!! So I will state again--my dog is dead because of her. She needs to have her license taken away. Not only did she severely misdiagnose my dog, she wouldn't talk to me. I repeatedly called her, as my dog was in severe pain and couldn't walk. She diagnosed congestive heart failure when in reality is was caused my a large tumor on my Roscoe's side which she said was ""nothing."" Dr. McCrumb told me if I had brought the dog to him sooner, he could have been saved. By the time Cindy got through with him, he was too weak and sick to survive the surgery and we had to put him down. The last night of Roscoe's life was pure hell. I have never seen a dog cry so much. She advertises 24 hour service, but she actually refused to take my calls, and at one point turned her phone off. The McCrumbs were kind enough to come in at 4:30 AM to help us. Any of you out there that end up having problems should do what I didn't. Go to another vet. If I had read these posts before taking my dog there, I would not have gone there. If you find yourself in a situation where your dog (or cat, or whatever) has died due to her incompetence, you should have an autopsy and then sue her and try to take her license away. There is a site online (whose name escapes me at the present time) which provides free legal counsel in cases like this. You would just have to type in the search ""Veterinary Malpractice"" and I am sure they will show up. The name was in my previous post which was removed (??). We need to get this doctor out of practice!! more

Think again before signing for additional services 4/13/2012

Take it from someone that has worked there... Signing up for the $30.00 laser surgery for spay and/or neuter is a farce, as Cindy Anderson never uses this. NO spay or neuter is ever preformed with laser ( as she does not want additional wear and tear on this machine - she states this is very expensive to repair ). Bonuses are given to a certain member of the staff because she does such an excellent job of promoting this additional cost. ?? is this legal. I am not the first employee to leave because of this, and other ??? office policy. more

1 word ""DON'T"" 8/15/2011

Experience was too bad to even describe. DO NOT have your beloved pet euthanized here. Sloppy, late, unprofessional... too much negativity to list. I'd rate a zero if it were an option. They took an already painful experience and multiplied the negativity by 10. When I commented about their lack of professionalism, they called me an idiot and said they were calling the police. YIKES!!! more

Counter to the Reactions ... 6/13/2011

I happen to thing Dr. Anderson does a very good job. She does listen very well to details of what you've noticed your pet going through, she orders & does appropriate testing, and does compassionate 'end-of-life' discussions. I've had pets come from Metro Detroit & Fort Smith Arkansas vets, and she did not blink an eye to pick up the phone & ask that records be sent to her. She has also discussed possible treatment options with the specialist Veterinarians who have treated my pets. For a more 'traditionalist' Dr., treating a wide variety of pets/animals, I think she does a great job. I've also had nothing but great thinks to say about her staff, they've always been helpful & considerate. more

Animal Kingdom is awesome 11/23/2010

I suppose you hear it often but your shop is just so awesome. From outside it just looks like a wonderland. The barns ? horses, tractors, and flower beds. Of course the holiday decorations. Just like a vet clinic should be. But I really just wanted to say thank you for the purse, just right up my alley. It was really nice of you to think of me! more

Rude, Nasty and Incompetent 7/3/2009

This woman should not be in practice. I brought my dog in with severe muscle spasms on the head and neck. My dog's jaws were continously snapping down. Ms. Anderson was very nasty and rude to me. I had to leave the dog there for 3 hours and when I went back, Ms. Anderson would not even talk to me. The nurse told me the spasms and teeth clamping was due to a vertibrae in her neck and I needed to take her to a chiropractor, which I did. The chiropractor, Dr. McCoy, was very sweet and kind. However, she did not think it was a chiropractic problem and told me to take her back to the vet. I would never go back to Ms. Anderson, so I chose another vet. I stopped to get the xrays Ms. Anderson took (I paid $90, $45 for the xray, and $45 for her to read it!) They refused to give them to me (told me it was against the law, which I later found out not to be true). The new vet I took my dog to was wonderful (Dr. McCrumb). She even called an animal neurologist while I was there. My dog had Tetnus (lockjaw). It was too late and we had to put her down the next day. If Ms. Anderson had been half as thorough as Dr. McCrumb, we may have beeen able to save her. Now I am left with a very big vet bill from Ms. Anderson, a dead dog and memories of a very rude, nasty and incompetent vet. more

RECONSIDER 11/8/2008

First off, I would like to say I never write reviews, but I feel people should know my situation. I have a cocker spaniel that I was trying to mate months before I brought her to animal kingdom. I figured I was unsuccessful with her considering the timing wasn't right, but she had gained weight and I figured something was wrong. I had also just gotten a kitten and I thought maybe my cocker was gaining weight because maybe she got something from the kitten. I brought both of them to the vet and I made it very clear that I was trying to get her pregnate. Before they even checked into that, they did about 200.00 worth of testing, and said nothing is wrong we will have to see her tomorrow..I brought her back in and then they decided to check if she was pregnate, I then got a call saying my dog is going to have 6 puppies. That was another 150.00 just to tell me yeah shes pregnate. HERE IS THE CATCH. My cocker had puppies 2 days later, which means..if they couldn't even tell she was pregnate 2 days before she had them..something is wrong. Not to mention the first day I went there...they weren't paying attention to any patients due to a emergency c-section (which i understand, but please acknowledge us.) Anywho I ended up furthering my services through Sault Animal Clinic...they ARE AMAZING THERE. soooo nice. I also felt very offended because when I called Animal Kingdom to let them know I was going to get my puppies tail's docked at the clinic they were rude, pretty much upset that I decided to go with someone else that is literally 10x cheaper...and way more professional. Dr. Hall is very good at what he does. Like I said, I don't ever take the time to write these...but I feel people should consider this when choosing animal kingdom. more
