Holistic, yes, Caring, no. 1/4/2011

I searched for a holistic vet and found Dr. Smith. I took a dog and a cat in to see her/and or one of her partners. Two of my visits were just follow up and they did not even touch my animals. The cat had ear problems, my dog had digestive/worming issues as a puppy.\r \r The only person to touch my dog was when he was weighed. The vet never even bent over or touched any part of my dog. I told them I thought they were doing OK so she did not feel it important to do a hands on exam....yet I was charged for one!\r \r I wrote them a letter explaining my concerns...never even got a reply!! Never went back and now have found a great vet 20 miles closer. more

No way they are touching my dogs 4/5/2010

We thought that the practice sounded perfect, until we actually went there. The women at the front desk were so incredibly rude that my husband actually turned and looked at each other in astonishment. We both figure that if they treat us with that kind of contempt, we don't even want to think about how they treat the dogs/cats/pets when the owners aren't right there to supervise. No way, no how will they ever touch one of our dogs. Driving off the mountain for a vet is inconvenient, but we'd rather deal with the inconvenience than worry about how our dogs are treated. Cons: Extremely rude. more

Best vets anywhere! 11/25/2009

My dog, an eight year old beagle, can't wait to go inside when she's in the car and she feels neglected when I don't let her go. The vets are super great and most of my experiences at boarding her have been positive with the exception of once. On that occasion the vet didn't charge me anything for treatments to get her well. Pros: All the vets are competent and caring more

Different Experience than Other Reviewer 10/8/2009

I don't normally write reviews but when I saw what another reviewer wrote, I just couldn't let his word stand on this group. I have taken our many four-legged family members over the years from the time they were puppies/kittens until we have had to put them down for old age or health issues. I had taken them when the offices were in an older building and they got so cramped it was wonderful to see them build and move into their new space now for a few years. Although I haven't always been pleased with the front desk support, I know the vets and the vet assistants are genuinely caring, compassionate and more importantly competent professionals. That truly is what's most important to me. Furthermore, I know I can gripe to the vets/office manager if I'm not happy with their services and the reviewer should have done so directly instead of hiding behind a review online. I plan to continue use this vet office into the future and you should too! Pros: Vets are Really Good at what they do-- Cons: Front Desk Is Not Always Chaotic or Incompetent more

Confusion, Attitude, Infection 6/27/2009

I was receiving a low cost spay and neuter on two dogs one male one female. Obviously. So I didn't want to gripe...until now. The blonde at the desk that is only interested when her mind catches up half way through what need to be done should be let go or put behind the scenes. The surgeon that was to work on my dogs was not available. My male was sore for two weeks. My female is still suffering with infection issues. They are indoor dogs and either I am home or they are with a sitter. Solution. Why doesn't somebody open up something more centrally located, maybe 24 hours, maybe with a business manager? Pros: Nice building, more clientel than they can handle Cons: Blonde at the desk and complete caos at check in more
