Our 11-year-old daughter was seriously injured at this Andretti facility on September 5, 2011. It was the first time we had ever taken our two children, ages 9 and 11, go-carting and they were on the kids' track at about 3:15 p.m. Our daughter's go-cart was crashed into at full speed by another go-cart driver's car and the force was so hard that both carts stopped. Though our daughter was wearing a helmet and the seat belt, the force at which she was hit resulted in a fractured left shoulder and multiple bruises on her right hip. I realize that kids can get hurt doing many activities, however, we will never visit this, or any, go-carting facility again. I had no idea that this activity could be so dangerous to children, especially children who were driving carefully as our daughter was. We let the manager on duty that day know of her injury and he gave her an ice pack, a free Coke, and a game card to come back to use on another visit. (No thanks!) He also offered to call the paramedics, however, we drove her to Children's instead for treatment. Ten days later, she is still in a lot of pain and has had to drop off of her tennis and cross country teams for the season. The orthopedist told us that if her shoulder doesn't heal that we are facing surgery. I regret ever taking her to Andretti.
