Came here last weekend and got Megan as my stylist and my hair turned out great. I have naturally very thin hair so I like to get fun layers in order to hopefully full it out. She gave me some good ideas on styling tips and ways to make my hair look less flat. I didn't get a color, but the cut and style turned out exactly how I had wanted it to. Overall it was a little expensive (mainly cause I'm cheap), but worth it for a nice treat for your hair every once in a while. more

Cut and color by Megan and it was horrible! Color was still the same and the cut was horrible. I told her I didn't like the color and she tells me to go home and wash it a few times. She basically was trying to kick me out. BY FAR THE WORST STYLIST EVER! went back to get it redone by ERIC who is AMAZING! more

...the answer? Not enough. I love Jon Christopher. He has never blown out my hair the same way twice (and I haven't blown it out in more than two ways total). It always looks special and spectacular. He is all about customer service - he'll make sure it's done well, done right, and that you are happy. He's laid back, personable, totally current on today's styles without being a slave to them. He just made me hair extensions out of human hair (which was the biggest leap I have ever made in the hair department), and NO ONE knows the difference. The color, texture and style blend seamlessly into my style and give it a boost almost like botox -- no one knows exactly what you've done, only that you look better! He's a gem. I'll follow him wherever, whenever. more

Best hairstylist in Philly! 4/20/2012

I've been getting my haircut by Jon Christopher for many years (can't say how many!) because he's the best, and not just in Philly! I have a classic bob style, which is very difficult to do well, and everytime, Jon does it perfectly. I know that he will always take the time to do a great job and I always leave with a big smile on my face. I will follow him wherever he goes! He's a fantastic hairstylist, very profesional and just overall GREAT! more

My hair has never been better 9/19/2011

My hair color looks better than it has in years. I called last minute and they not only got me in at the time I asked for but they were also able to cut and style my hair and do my makeup for an event that I went to that night. They really are the best hair salon in Philadelphia. more

Best Men's Haircut!!! 8/5/2011

I went to Andre Richard Salon for a Men's Haircut and Loved it! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The minute I walked through the door it was all smiles. I got my haircut by a Jr. Stylist named Jade. She was very attentive and helpful. I told her what I wanted and she gave me a few suggestions. Together we found the best look for me!! Jade's Awesome, I love her!!! During checkout she showed me the products she used in my hair and of course I bought it!! I will definitely be going back!!!! more

Living Social deal 4/21/2011

I purchased the Living Social deal for the Keratin Express Treatment and was very disappointed. First, I made an appointment with a stylist who had great reviews online. Then the day before my appointment, I recieved a call confirming my appointment with another stylest whose name I had not seen on the website previously. I looked again and sure enough stylsit was brand new to the salon. I was initially nervous but this turned out to be fine. They advertised this treatment as the Keratin Express Treatment. However, after doing a lot of research on the real treatment, I determined that this process was not the same and was being falsely advertised. I did recieve a great blowout but was expecting something longer lasting and was really disappointed that they were not upfront. Otherwise, nice staff and nice blowout. Will probably never go back again. more

I made an appt, at this salon and took a train down from the suburbs. It was worth the travel time. I have naturally curly hair and Christopher took the time to explain to me about curls and told me that i should let my hair be curly instead of flattening it out with a brush. He told me what products to use, the kind of comb to use and about maintenance of curly hair. He also told me that my hair was dry, which I would have never guessed since it feels soft. I usually go to local places, but the cut and information were worth the price and effort. On top of that, I got a ton of compliments when I went back to work on Monday. would definitelly reccomend! its worth every penny. more

Do not bother! 3/3/2011

This place was highly recommended to me. I called on Wed and got an appointment for Thur evening. They called at noon to tell me that my stylist ""was not longer with them"" and that they wanted to reschedule. It was important that I got my hair done quickly during the evening but they had no one for weeks that could help. I would have figured someone would have stepped up. Glad I know now. more

Awesome Haircut 5/23/2010

After a long run of not so great haircuts, I decided to treat myself to a professional job. I typed ""best hair cut for men in philadelphia"" in google and eventually found Andre Richard Salon. If you use Patco, the location is excellent - right outside the Locust & 12th-13th station. The salon has a nice relaxed feel to it and the staff is very friendly. Andre listened & asked questions about what I like then set to work, like the artist that he is, to give me the perfect haircut. I'll definitely be back. Disappointed 4/25/2010

This salon was recommended by a friend, and when I was just getting my hair cut I was very pleased. But then decided to treat myself to a professional color and highlights I was highly disappointed. I was going from dark to light, and left with a brassy hint. After showering my hair was damaged, my scalp burned, and my roots were bright orange. I insisted they see me the next day to repair the damage as I'd made the appointment in time for a professional meeting. I was treated as if I were being ridiculous and rude, and left still dissatisfied. Both visits I was passed from stylist to assistant and back again. I refuse to pay for another service at this salon when I was treated as an inconvenience for expecting my money and time to be respected. For over 200 I expect to leave the salon with a professional service and a minimum level of satisfaction. Pros: Cut Cons: Customer Service and Color more

Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful 4/20/2010

I came to Andre with the hopes of restoring my hair. I have naturally very dark hair but I love to be blonde. After going platinum blonde for over a year my hair started breaking everywhere! The previous salon told me the only way I could fix it is to dye it dark brown and let it grow out. I went along with what they recommended and hated my dark hair!! I came to Andre after researching him online and he recommended we go gradually back to blonde. He put highlights all over and it looked wonderful! The second time I went he brought me completely back to blonde and I am so incredibly excited! I thought my hair was ruined but he did it the right way and now my hair is healthy again and most importantly, blonde! Thank you Andre!! See you soon! Pros: accommodating, friendly, professional, excellent work! Cons: none to be found! more

Great Experience 4/12/2010

While visiting Philadelphia (from the SF Bay Area) in September, 2009, I decided to get my hair styled, and went online to find a reputable hair salon near my hotel. After searching a number of websites, I came across Andre Richard Salon, and decided to give the salon a call. From the initial conversation with the salon's receptionist, to the hair care I received from both Andre's assistant, Christopher Hill and Andre Richard himself, I was very pleased with my overall experience there. Andre and his staff were not only incredibly knowledgeable about hair care, but were also very pleasant, accomodating, and professional. I also observed Andre apply his makeup artistry skills another customer who was a member of a bridal party. She left the salon looking great and feeling transformed. I look forward to visiting Andre's salon the next time I'm in Philadelphia! :) Pros: Accomodating Staff, Professional Hair Care and Makeup more

Best Haircut 4/9/2010

I hadn't been able to get in town lately, but thank God I stopped in to Andre's Salon on my most recent trip. Andre used to cut my hair , but after a move last year I had to go other places. He is great . I feel like I'm at a Spa with all the pampering. The place looks great after his remodeling last year, and last but certainly not least my hair looked great when I left. Great place to Get your Hair Done 10/27/2009

Just got my haircut at Andre Richard's Salon. It Looks Fabulous. It was great experience. Nice atmosphere, very professional, relaxed environment, with refreshments and great conversation. He also has great products. I bought AQUAGE transforming paste. Now just use one product instead of 3. I love it! Pros: All Pros no Cons more

Fantastic work AND friendliest salon 5/1/2009

I went to see Josh last week and not only left with wonderful hair but actually had the best time ever while sitting in his chair. I am used to making the requisite conversation with hair dressers, but never expected to actually have so much fun. My color--blonde--has never looked better, and he did wonderful things with its texture, giving it body and movement while keeping it long like I requested. I literally walked out of the salon and had 2 people tell me on my way to the subway that I looked ""great"" and--considering I had not showered and was probably still hungover--it was definitely the hair that did it. And it smelled amazing. And its easy to style. I could continue to go on but instead, will just leave you with the advice to try the salon for yourself! I have told all my friends that they must go ASAP--you will not be disappointed. Pros: My hair looks better than it ever has! Cons: if I ever have to find a replacement, they won't stack up more
