Worst

The seats in this place are HORIIBLE! Up until very recently they only accepted cash- which, in today's world of plastic, was shocking. Being a 'newer' theater, I'd expect much ...

Waiting another Moon For Full Moon 11/21/2009

My fiance and I were at the theater (ahead of show- time by at least 15 minutes, with pre-purchased tickets) and still had to wait in line to be let into the theater to sit. Standing there mixed with a crowd of noisy, unpatient people, we realize the movie start time is approaching and wonder if we are perhaps in the wrong line. We asked around, but at least 7 other people were by us in line for the same showing of the same movie and signs indicated we were all in the correct place. When finally let in, we realize theater staff did not announce that our movie was open for seating to the crowd in a loud enough manner for more than but a few people in the front to hear. When we complained that the movie we wanted to see was already in progress we were told by at least two employees that it had only started a few minutes ago. Upon complaining to the manager on duty we were given tickets for the next showing at the same price we paid before and told that was our discount, because the evening showing would have cost more than the matinee -- BUT we wanted to go to the matinee because that was the most convenient; my fiance and I had to cancel dinner plans and rearrange our evening outing around this issue. I feel better organization in the theater, nicer treatment from floor staff, and a discount offered on the money I ALREADY paid was more in order. I would not recommed this theater to others. Cons: Unorganization and RUDENESS from Employees more

Uncomfortable seats, below average for a 'new' theater 6/10/2008

The seats in this place are HORIIBLE! Up until very recently they only accepted cash- which, in today's world of plastic, was shocking. Being a 'newer' theater, I'd expect much more. The employees are less than enthused to be there and it shows! In my opinion, drive the extra few miles and go to Showplace (in Coon Rapids)... but if you are budgeting because of the gas prices, then I guess Andover Cinema will work. Pros: location, i guess. Cons: seats are horrible! more

below aveerage 1/26/2004

Inconsistency is the problem. I watched a 3 hour movie that was packed in January and the theater must have been over 80 degrees with no air movement. The worst experience I have ever had. Lighting is the other problem. Inconsistent. Staff is great however, not trained. Recently, its been more difficult to find their movie listings on the movie web sites. They dont advertise in the weekday paper. They must have to much business. Its close to my home, but they act as if they don't care about a quality product? I've heard more complaints in the neighborhood then compliments. Really to bad. You have to do more then just hire the neighbor kids to get the loyalty from customers. more

Lights Out I Wish 3/7/2003

My wife and I saw Tears Of The Sun 3-7-03 and while watching the movie I went out two times and asked the to please turn the lights down because the night scenes were so dark with the lights on you couldn't see , then my wife went out and asked and was told they would talk to the manager and that they have ticket vouchers, then after the movie the manager said that she checked and the lights were out and I said I sat 2 hours watching a movie and that I couldn't tell that the light were off, I would just like to say the manager was wrong and if any lights were out it was hers. My family nor anyone I can persuade will ever go to this theater again it will be worth the extra 4 miles to go to Kerasotes Showplace 16 Pros: If you are afraid of, the dark good Cinema more

Best one out there! 6/21/2002

I love this theater, its so close to my house I can walk there. Its a great location and around many resturants. So if your hungry after the show go out to eat at Apple Bees. It's big but small roomy area. They have great employees and great cleaning staff. They even clean up after each show so you dont have to step in someones popcorn. Its not crowded either! Pros: good staff, great food, not crowded Cons: big but small more
