Looking better than ever, Thanks Liz and Miraya!! 5/16/2009

One year ago a reviewer wrote a great comment on Liz Duran, rest assured, one year later, her skills, personality and great customer service the highlight of the Salon. I have an appt in two weeks for new color and cut and can not wait to see what the look is going to be. I trust her selections completely and she has proven that trust is deserved. The hard wax that Miraya uses leaves me with less redness/puffiness, plus she has sculpted the brows perfectly to fit my facial structure. A true artist. Pros: great parking, individual attention Cons: none I can find more

Don't make the mistake of bringing your child!!! 4/28/2009

Having arrived at the salon on-time, feeling a bit proud of myself that my two month old daughter was peacefully sleeping in her carrier, I was a bit surprised to see the horrified faces of the front desk staff as we walked in. I was quickly told that ""we would need to reschedule my appointment"". When I asked why, I was told ""we do not allow children in our salon"". A bit upset, I asked why I wasn't told this before we went through all of the prep involved in getting a two month old ready just to be told we would have to come back. ""It would be hard for us to tell that you have a CHILD over the phone, wouldn't it"" was their reply. Needless to say, we left and I will not go back. I suspect that I would have received a better reception had I arrived with a dog instead of my baby. Hard to believe that this place makes their money off of women/mothers. Pros: Experienced stylists Cons: Rude and do not allow children in their salon more

Forced to buy their products and service was ok 4/1/2009

I went there twice for facials, and they are very persistent in selling you their products! I didn't like that. I love my current products, but tried one out and it wasn't all that. Pros: Close to home Cons: Pricey more

Kenny Whitehead - straightforward professional with great results 12/31/2008

I have found Kenny to be very professional and upfront. He is direct yes, but not discourteous. He has treated me with respect to who I am as an individual, creating a cut/style unique to me. He does not let age or weight interfere, nor ""hip"" or ""unhip ""...only what will work and look best for his client. more

Lily Pham has been my stylist for 4 years, and I wouldn't let anyone else touch my hair! Lily is great not only with color and a genius with cut, but is innovative and talented when it comes to recommendation of products, styles, and working with difficult hair. She has the unique ability to have vision for the best results, but also really listens to what the customer wants. The salon is great, offering a good variety of services and accomodating in scheduling. Pros: Plenty of free parking. Friendly staff. more

Lily is great not only with color and a genius with cut, but is innovative and talented when it comes to recommendation of products, styles, and working with difficult hair. She has the unique ability to have vision for the best results, but also really listens to what the customer wants. The salon is great, offering a good variety of services and accomodating in scheduling. Pros: Plenty of free parking. Friendly staff. more

The Best Stylist I've found in Houston 12/11/2008

When I moved to Houston 3 years ago, I had to find a new stylist. I tried three different salons before finding Lily Pham at Albert Luiz. I liked the vibe of the salon, the receptionists were warm, and suggested Lily. Lily looked very cute, had a hip hair style, and a great smile which was a nice change from the previous three stylists! She gave a great scalp massage and shampoo and then proceeded to cut my hair unlike anyone I'd ever worked with. She had a very interesting technique of creating texture and lift on the top of my head, and handled the calics in the back perfectly giving my head a great shape. I've been going to Lily every three weeks for the past three years and plan to do so until she finally gets discovered by someone famous in Hollywood. That will be a bitter sweet day. more

Kenny Whitehead WOW!!! 11/12/2008

I had a hair cut with Kenny Whitehead, let me tell you, go see him!!! He cuts great hair! I've gone to 5 different stylist to get a updated bob, and each time walked away thinking that I just blew sooo much money on nothing. I was really tired of wasting my time and money, and then I saw this lady walking by me one day and asked her who cut her hair, she was more than glad to tell me. I booked an appointment as soon as I could get in and I'm I so glad I did. I love it, and I don't mind driving 45 minutes out of my way!!! I already set up an appointment for 6 wks trim. Go see him, you'll be glad you did. more

She is a lying, crazy lady!!! I was there and her version of the story is not how it happened. She lied from the very beginning. Her story kept changing and she was taken in even though all know that she had been a problem before. She tried to get as many services that day on her hair even though she had only wanted and was told by the owner she was only getting her root color done.He even showed her how what she was asking for was not making sense yet she agreed that that was what she wanted. She changed her story by the time she got to poor Phyllis. She said she was getting hilights, lowlights, and roots done. Then tried to even get a haircut, though she was not down for any of it. I believe she is either crazy or just tried to get as many services for free.... more

I was shocked to know that the previous review was written under my name regarding an eyebrow wax by Tamika. I absolutely did not write this review. I have been going to Albert Luis Salon & SPA for the last 4 years, and I absolutely love this Salon, every service I ever had has exceeded expectations. more
