Very pleased with my entire experience with American Home Design. Salesperson was very knowledgeable and professional. They did everything that they said they would do and exceeded all of our expectations. We did our homework, and called customers who had used them, everyone i called gave extremely wonderful reviews, and some had issues that they claimed American Home Design came out right away and resolved. That meant a lot to us. We used them and I would highly suggest to anyone looking for home improvements to give them a call, we have already noticed significant difference in our electric bill. The windows are beautiful!!! more

The best value for the money for replacement windows 3/18/2010

I researched and looked at many windows and companies in the Nashville area. I chose American Home Design because they were by far the most professional company, and had a proven background for standing behind their work and products( Many claim to do this and fall way short of their promises). After choosing them, we couldn't be happier with the whole process. We have already recognized substantial savings on energy, and we love our new windows. I highly recommend this Company and I will definitely use them for any home improvements that they offer. Many thanks to them for their quality work!! Pros: Very Professional, outstanding windows Cons: Little higher price,but worth the difference more

Pushy Sales People 3/13/2010

American Home Designs came out to talk to us about several projects we need to do. They had a great sales presentation, but got very pushy when we would not sign with them on the first visit. The told us they were already giving us a $2000 discount plus another $1000 if we signed that day. Because we would not sign that day we would not be eligible for any discounts. Even with their discounts they were still $1000 above the next best competitor. If you do want to talk with them make sure you put them last on your list, because if you want to use their services you will need to sign on the first visit or they will charge you more money. We felt there pushy sales practices show that there is something wrong with their company and they did not what us to find out. I’m glad I did not sign on that day after reading all the bad reviews. Pros: Lots of promises Cons: Pushy Sales pitch more

They did a great job installing my new windows. We can already tell a difference in savings on our NES bill. My neighbors are ready to have American Home Design replace their windows, because we are so pleased. Pros: professional installers more

Fantastic Company 5/5/2009

I bought a sunroom from them in 2002 and I've not had one problem with it since the day it was installed. My husband & I absolutely love it. Our experience with them was so good that we went back & bought a spa from them when they were selling spas. If you want a reliable company that you can depend on, American Home Design is that company! Pros: very professional, great work more

Completely worth the money 5/5/2009

I purchased my windows from American Home Design about 6yrs ago and I think they're great! Easy to clean and I've seen a big difference in my energy bills. They were a little higher than some other companies but I have peace of mind that they will be there to back up their warranty when I need them. They installed all 9 windows in just one day & the installers were extremely professional. I would recommend American Home Design to anyone who asks! Pros: top of the line products Cons: a little higher than most, but worth it more

COMPLETELY MISLEAD 2/22/2009

Great pitch, nice looking windows, but we were misinformed about what our payments were going to be and by the time we got the paperwork, they said our 3 day cancellation period was up (Saturday is considered a business day to them!) and even though they lied about our payments, they refuse to give us our down payment back and we'll probably have to get the dam windows put in anyways to keep from losing the money! COMPLETELY MISLEADING!!! Pros: good pitch, nice looking windows Cons: too expensive, misleading more

Leaky roof 10/7/2008

We had AHD build us a sunroom just a little over a year ago. We were, and still are very happy with the sunroom. However, every time we have a heavy rain our roof leaks and we end up with trash cans and buckets scattered about the sunroom floor. Each time I call their customer service they do send somebody out to fix it, sometimes two days later and sometimes two weeks later but, after a half dozen heavy rains and a half dozen leaks (usually in the same spots) this is getting pretty frustrating. I just hope they are willing to replace our flooring and furniture if they get ruined. Believe it or not, I would still recommend this company. Their servicemen (leak repairers) just need to get better at their jobs. more

I bought my windows from American Hone Design everything went great, I had a problem with 1 window and their customer service dept. sent someone out 2 days later, now thats customer service. I have also bought a hot tub since my windows. AHD is A+++ in my book, no risk here. Pros: ALL Cons: NONE more

Replacement windows 9/11/2006

Such a disappointment. We bought the marketing and did not check around to our regret. Our complaints have received no real response. The contract doesn't matter. I had done an extensive amount of indoor remodeling and worked with Lowe's. Any concern I had was promptly dealt with and resolved. I will never know why I didn't stick with them for windows too. This has been a terrible experience. Too, too expensive as well. We feel sick. more

A Nightmare 9/11/2006

Too, too expensive. Customer service stonewalled my complaint. Terms of the contract ignored. A total, total nightmare experience. Call three local contractors and get good estimates. Don't fall for the big ad campaign and free cocktails party. I wish I had gone to Lowe's. During my extensive home remodeling, they were great. Even the smallest concern was handled promtly and I went back and spent a ton of money with them. Oh why didn't I go back there for my windows too? more
