We are a young couple with three young children and were so excited to buy our first house together in Clintonville. We were referred to Mr. Cook and we were confident we made the right choice. Nothing was out of the ordinary when we bought our house. It was in good shape, no problems and had great previous owners who took very good care of it. And no problems from the home inspector. Well two week ago, when Ohio got cold and it snowed for days, we had a pipe break and begin to leak. We immediately shut the water off and called our insurance. The adjustor, Nevon Roberts, came over was rude and very unprofessional. He talked to my 28 year old wife and made his decision based on what she thought had happened, she knows nothing about plumbing. He didn't talk to any of the plumbers or come back over when the woodfloor warped completely off the floor. He wouldn't return any of our phone calls until we threatened to get a lawyer. Bottom line, they won't pay a dime! They said it was a ""pre-existing leak"" which was a totally lie. Why would a pre- existing leak suddenly gush down the wall and ceiling during a cold spell in Ohio? They wouldn't even talk to the plumbers who said it was a frozen pipe. Why even have insurance if they won't do what they are supposed to do? Don't waste your money with this company.
