The movers were scheduled to arrive at my apartment between 1pm and 2pm and were three hours late.What made the situation worse was that no one called me to inform me they would be late, and instead I had to call for updates and received only excuses and no apologies. While I appreciated that they sent four guys but only charged me for two to help make this quicker, only two guys moved things from the inside of my apartment to the truck while the other two did not help except to move the really big pieces of furniture at the end.In addition, the two movers who did all the work were complaining about how the other two weren’t doing anything (which I can understand their frustration). Because of the delay, it was 9pm before the truck arrived at my new house.My boyfriend ended up having to help unload to speed up the process.Everytime he went outside to get something from the truck, the movers were sitting down and would only pick boxes up when they saw he was doing it. During the move my bookcase was broke.The movers all admitted it was there fault that the bookcase broke because of how they fastened it to the dolly (they tightened it much too tight causing it to buckle and crack).They took the bookcase away with them and said I could talk to American Eagle about getting reimbursed.American Eagle refused to refund me for it.Inside the house they stacked boxes in a way that a stack with breakable things fell over and some items broke.As they were loading boxes, one of the movers dropped a box marked breakable in front of me. As they were removing the couch from my apartment the movers put two dents in the wall and scratched the front door.The movers advised at the time of the move that American Eagle would cover the damage and they did. This was the worst move I have ever had.I will not use them again and have advised friends not to use them either. I never received a single apology for Mimi for the entire experience. more

I would not recommend this company. I recently used this company to move across town. The move took WAY longer than it should have taken and this was with me helping the movers. I ended up having to get a second truck even though prior to the actual move date I had notified the company of all large items I was moving and the approximate number of boxes. I had even suggested/offered they come out and see everything before the move. The second truck left a glass table top at the house I was moving from; however, did not tell me until when they were getting ready to leave when I noticed it wasn't there. I found the base of the table on the front porch. The lead guy of the second truck offered to come back the next day on his own time and get the table top; however, he never did. Also, I had several items damaged during the move. They have not been easy to work with on settling the damages and have not been resolved to date. I have moved several times over the past years between cities and moving is stressful. If you do not want to add stress to your move then do not use this company. more

I used this "company" this past summer and had nothing but problems. We had issues with damaged property during the move and instead of the "company" stepping up and taking responsiblitlity, all that happened was grief and many ignored phone calls and emails. Some promises were kept, which I appreciate, but not all were kept. In a reply to a review, the "company" posted personal information including my home address. I contacted the "company" directly to ask to have the comment removed but was told that "I (company owner) will post a link to Mapquest, to show where your house is if I want." This is EXTREMELY unprofessional but not totally unexpected after the grief this "company" has put me through. UPDATE 9/18: After contacting the owner, the company did eventually remove my personal address from the review. more

American Eagle Moving & Transport did a great job with our move schedule/issues. We had to change our move date twice due to closing issues... The guy's did a great job. I will recommend Ian and Brett to my family and friends. Would definitely use them again. Matthew more

Please avoid this company at all costs. I had damaged furniture, a dent in the ceiling, and a scraped up handrail. One of the moves sweat so much that it was all over the floor and furniture. Could've easily been avoided with a bandana or rag! Owner promised to fix things and get my couch cleaned but then stopped responding to e-mails and phone calls. Update 9/15: After I wrote this review, the owner contacted me. She seemed willing to fulfill her initial promises but only if I updated my reviews. At this point, I have received compensation for dented ceiling and scratched up handrail. I also had my sofa steam cleaned after one of the movers sweated all over it. The furniture piece that has a hole in it was quoted to be repaired at $100. She tried to negotiate that price down but I refused to accept that. At this point, I have received no compensation for that piece. She has also attacked my character and called me names. She also accused me of stalking when all I have done is try to get her to respond and deal with this situation in a professional manner. Also, be careful of some of the positive reviews. She has come on to some sites and given her own company a 5 star rating. more
