When I got my dog from the APA, I was told that she has some allergies but I should not worry about it. After a month of bringing her home, these ""allergies"" seemed to be getting worse. She was constantly scratching, and loosing her hair. I changed her food read all about pet allergies and I could not get her spunk back. I took her to see Dr. Virk and saw an immediate change in her personality. Dr. Virk introduced us to a specialty food and through behavioral counseling, helped us both to deal with the stress baby girl was showing from her allergies. She seemed to have grown out of those allergies now, but had it not been for Dr. Virk I don't know what I would have done! more

My kitty and I were recently first timers into Alpine. I was surprised by the friendliness shown by both Dr. Virk and the staff. The wait times were short as well, as an added bonus. I thought the prices were more then fair was well. Thanks Alpine, well be back! more

Wonderful and kind staff! 10/3/2011

Throughout the tough time that my family and I had to go through, The staff over at Alpine Veterinary Hospital were able to ease us through the whole process. When I had a dog, she was diagnosed with Cancer and had to go through an amputation.The staff was very nice throughout the whole process and answered any question that my family and I had throughout the whole ordeal, and I could not thank them enough for being so nice and caring. more

Everyone here at Alpine Veterinary Hospital is wonderful. Candice is so gentle and loving with my cats. I will definitely return when my Cats feel ill. I believe my cants are taken very good care of when I brought them here. I highly trust this vet and will recommend to everyone I know. more

Dr. Virk is the Best! I called and got an appt. right away- which I needed. Dr. Virk is friendly and listens and I like his calm demeanor in potentially difficult situations. Office staff are friendly and respectful. Another important factor is that the cost is low in comparison to other vets in the area. more

This place is absolutely amazing. They take the best pro-active care of my cats, when I leave I feel 100% content with the answers they have provided and the care my cats have received. Unlike other vets they don't try to push all these meds and tests on your pets, they take everything one step at a time and you can tell they really care about your pets. I recommended Alpine Veterinary Hospital to everyone I know with a pet in need of a check up or some care. more

Our Hero! 1/15/2010

Dr. Virk is a first class guy, and extreamly talented Vet, honest and caring. He has saved more than one of my pet's lives. The most extraordinary was when my dog got an infection that nearly took her life before Dr. Virk had a 24 hour service. All the Vets working on her strongly suggested I put her down. Dr. Virk knew how much we valued our pets lives. He made a commitment he would save her when i brought this 90% dead animal into his office in tears. She lived another 8 years! She was hospitalized with Dr. Virk for a week and given agressive treatment and pain management. The bill was less than I could have ever imagined (and less than the first 8 hours in the ER Vets office where all they wanted to do was put her down). I don't get the comments left by others that their dog had to wait too long for surgery and therefore went all day to be fed, giving them a "hellish day". Get a grip people. This is a 5 star vet; he was probably saving another animals life while your little dog wait more

Outraged 1/11/2010

Not too good. Brought in dog w/swollen lower eye & face. I thought possible teeth problems as I knew they were bad but put off as she is 12 yrs and I was concerned about anesthetic. Dr Virk thought it was related to teeth also. Gave her Anitibiotic and anti-infammatory inj/rx. Said come in for dental clean/extractions next day. I couldnt come until day off 6 days later (she was on oral anibiotic/inflammatory rx during the week) which was good as the infection/swelling was pretty much gone when we came back which is always better before surgery (at least in our human office). VET said no food/water after 10pm nite before procedure. TECH said no food/water after midnite. Another tech said no food after midnite, Water ok. I covered my bases and did none after 10pm. Asked me to bring her in at 730am, pickup 430pm so they could watch her after anesthetic wears off. Gave me a # said I could check on her as many time as I want. Called 1145am to see if she was done (4 hrs after drop off). No t more

DR Virk is a very caring Dr and he really cares about the animals' welfare. I took my rott there and I have to say Dr Virk gave him a second life without charging an arm and a leg. He understood my financial situation and was very sympethatic. Words cannot even describe by gratitude for Dr Virk and his staff. more
