All these sudden 'new' reviews of excellent are from people all over the U.S. AND not in keeping with the multitude of BAD reviews for many years from people that actually visited her shop. Sounds a bit fishy and unethical. more

I found my wedding dress at this shop. I looked a variety of places, knew more or less what I wanted and tried on several before I found my dress. It was VERY simple, beach wedding so light material, not a lot of beading, etc but it was only $450 and EXACTLY what I wanted.\r more

I came here and it was amazing how helpful Ellen was she helped me pick out the most beautiful dress ever and then altered it to my body to perfection. I am the happiest bride ever! more

This woman is awful!!! And yes I mean YOU HELEN! You were BSing us the entire time! I ordered my dress in August of 2011 and Helen told me Nov Dec and my grandmother put a payment down of $500...I called in December ""Oh no It will be here in Feb"" Long story short she gave me and my grandparents the run around...she NEVER ordered the dress until she said it will be here in 2 weeks and . In 2 weeks it was in...go figure, 3 months later then she claimed. Then she gave us another story about how she was a victim of fraud and she doesnt have any money at the moment. (The bank will give you your money when there is fraud my grandparents experience the same thing!) Then when actually picking up the dress she intentionally (my friend was watching her and she was being sneaky the whole time) took $90 from my grandmother.My grandmother got her $90 back and I got the dress of my dreams (thank god I didnt have her alter it) I cant believe all that non sense we went through. It was horrible and now looking at these reviews. I KNOW im not mistaken she took a run with our money and tried to fool us! I really wish I read the reviews before going to this store they would have helped me out alot!!! This message is for Helen: NONE of the people that are writing these reviews are lieing about the experience they had. You keep saying ""stop with the lies stop with the lies"". YOUR lieing and are a very scandalous person that really does look at people as a paycheck, you didn't make me feel any better. You know you are wrong with trying to take money, giving attitude to customers, over pricing so much and doing horrible horrible jobs with the alterations. Ive seen at least 2 reviews on you that women had to buy a whole new wedding dress because you hacked the orginial dress. That is not normal. No one should have to experience this for their wedding! SHAME ON U! FOR DOING THIS TO BRIDES TO BE! YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF AND GET YOURSELF IN A DIFFERENT CAREER ONE THAT DOESNT INQUIRE WORKING WITH PEOPLE AND SOMETHING THAT KEEPS YOU AWAY FROM OTHER PEOPLES MONEY! more

Helen, the shop's owner, is soulless, unethical, and rotten inside. She ruined my sister's wedding dress by the most terrible seamstress job ever. She has never had any professional training, is pushy, lying, and sneaky. She tried to double charge us for a dress she completely RUINED, and became hostile and abrasive. She ruined every last bridesmaid dress she laid her hands on, and then blamed it on the customer. She is not a licensed wedding dress buyer, and will con you into buying something that doesn't fit with false promises that she can sew it. Don't trust her, she is a snake. more

The worst bridal experience I have ever had. Please save yourself from being tricked by Helen (shop owner's) lies and and her lamenting. The whole time you try on dresses and do alterations she complains how her life is so hard and you are making it harder. She does not appreciate customers nor care how you look or feel, you are nothing just a paycheck for her. She overprices everything and refuses to quote you ahead of time. If you mention that her prices are vastly highly as in more than 4x what they are worth she yells are you for being an awful person. Not to mention her alterations were so terrible that she used the wrong setting on the organza, which cannot be fixed, poked holes in organza, added cap sleeves and when the were too tight informed me it was my fault the dress i picked was too heavy, left red marks and pills all over my lace and then proceeded to cut the lace saying it happens. I feel tricked, cheated and had to consign my terrible dress that I paid $600 for and then $275 in alterations for $200, which was all it was worth after Helen had her hands on it. I highly recommend going elsewhere and save your money and time. It is now 3 weeks prior to my wedding and I had to start wedding dress shopping again because the dress was unwearable. Oh and the bridesmaid dresses were 3 weeks late in ordering. She then also butchered the alterations of the bridesmaid dresses and instead of properly taking in the sleeves she took in the dress under the armpits. Now my sister cannot fit her arms through the sleeves. $75 to alter the bridesmaid dress which she incorrectly shortened the sleeves, took up the hem and took in the side an inch. Not only did we pay the $75 for bad alterations she then told me mother she could easily fix it. We didn't pay all that money to take it home to fix it. I know have to bring the dress to another seamstress. Regret ever stepping foot in the shop, made me so discouraged with getting married because I would look ugly in the butchered dress as would my bridesmaids. Her response to my confrontation was defensive and she wouldn't even listen to my side of the story. She is so used to people unhappy with their service that she is prepared for it. I paid because I feared she would arrest me otherwise and 3 weeks without a dress was stressful enough I didn't want to add in police confrontation and small claim courts. She tricked me, avoid the pain for yourself. more
