Third time they've cancelled my order after I place it through Eat24. I'll be calling the restaurant directly in order to place an order in the future so I feel bad for Eat24 but clearly they aren't being kept in the loop by the restaurant. I'll also probably be going with Melody Cafe through grubhub as that's what I usually end up doing after Eat24 calls to tell me they won't deliver my food. All around BAD BUSINESS and customer relations. more

Don't order delivery. On the one hand, I enjoyed the falafel platter with hummus I had that one time. On the other hand, I've tried to order again from Al Fanoose TWICE and both times they waited a significant amount of time from when I placed my order to call and cancel my order (over 30 mins). The first time they called to tell me they were closed (although it was normal business hours). The second time I was called and told something happened and there was no delivery driver tonight. I'll give a restaurant a freebie on a poorly canceled order once but not twice. Regardless of enjoying the first time, I won't waste my time ordering, waiting half an hour only to end up getting my order cancelled. Just not worth it. more

The delicious lamb shwarma sandwich almost makes me want to forgive the late delivery, which came by bike up my steep hill. I am torn between being annoyed for the lateness or trying to respect the idea of bicycling up here. I also ordered a falafel plate. I had to try some of it even though it is for tomorrow's lunch. Very tasty. Maybe if Al Fanoose needs to widen their delivery window to be more truthful to the folks that order a delivery. more

My delivery order of a Shwarma sandwich and a falafel sandwich were delicious, delivered within 30 minutes of ordering electronically and a lot of value for the money. I look forward to trying some of the dishes I have never tried before. Ali Baba's was a favorite. I am so happy Al Fanoose delivers. Will their menu expand? more

I received a very nice message from the owner of this restaurant and he was very apologetic. Apparently the computer system was down on the day I submitted my online order and that caused a delay. I will definitely try this place the next time I place an order for delivery more

Delicious, no-frills food 12/19/2006

If you are looking for a tasty, cheap, quick lunch or dinner, I highly recommend Ali Baba's. Their falafel is, hands-down, the best I've ever had - crunchy, crispy on the outside, very flavorful, and not at all soggy. Their salads and spreads are all great as well. I like to get the mixed appetizer plate, where you can choose any 3 items from the appetizer menu. The portions are very plentiful, especially considering the prices. It's not fancy or pretty, but you cannot go wrong with Ali Baba's if you are just looking for high quality, very dependly good food. Pros: Awesome food at amazing prices more

Best falafals - hands down 10/11/2006

The falafals are soo good - tasty, fresh and flavorful. The hot sauce adds that extra oomph - definitely try it next time you go to Ali Baba. The bakhlavas are good too, but I wouldn't recommend eating them cold. Have them heat it - you'd be glad that you did. more

Tasty and cheap 7/16/2003

Once you try the falafel sandwich (which is really a wrap), you'll be hooked. Enormous portions, perfect for sharing. more

Great Food 1/12/2003

Great Little Stop in the Haight 10/19/2002

I love this restaurant. Everyting is cheap, fresh, and very good. Try the vegetarian shish-kababs. Can't go wrong here. more
