I am very disappointed in this property. I'm here for four nights for a conference with 150 attendees. Yes, the rooms have been recently renovated. It's cool to have a new HD plasma TV, and a leather chair. It does not make up for unfriendly, unhelpful staff who could care less about their guests.
There is a musty/moldy smell on the second floor (many of my collegues commented on it.) The hotel is understaffed (1 bartender no waitress in the evenings) Rooms were not ready at 6pm when our group was trying to check in.
There is no ice machine on the 2nd floor in the east tower. (there is an exposed copper pipe sticking out of the wall beside the pepsi machine where it's supposed to be.)
They seem to be running out of everything, liquor, soap, cocktail napkins, coffee, diet coke?? What makes it worse is no one wants to apologize or make amends for the poor service.
The hotel is beside the sports stadium, but otherwise is isolated. We feel "trapped" without a rental car. It was a long thirty minutes from the airport.
The conference food (buffets) were marginal at best. The breakfasts are particularly weak. I'm hoping our company got a heck of a deal on this place. My conference evaluation form will include "don't ever send us back here again!"
Pros: nice room decor, hd plasma tv, leather chair, wi-fi in the room
Cons: unhelpful, unfriendly staff, unapologetic
