Thank you for fixing my mishap 12/4/2011

I allowed my niece to perform her first haircut as a cosmetology student on me. Whoa! Thankfully Miss Lauren was there to fix the mishap and allow me to be able to show my head in public again. Excellent hair service and an excellent place! more

I feel you need to incorporate price when negotiating where your going with the client. 12/4/2011

I like coming there, Cheryl knows her stuff. I like how she speaks with me on haircut, and how I am trying reach my color that looks good. But I wasnt told when we discussed my hair I was going be paying additional 60.00 dollars. So as I spoke with my Husband before I left I said probably a 100.oo dollars. thats what I usally do. There is know way I cant pay 175.oo dollars every 5 weeks, on hair,so next time we need to know how much, But why does it cost so much? She colored before and it wasnt that much she added something new. I got use to paying 55.oo for haircut but usually I would pay 80 total back in Tacoma,for haircut and color. Which also was Aveda Hair salon. I might have to stopp coloring or find some where else to go, Take care and have a nice holiday. more

Perfectly satisfied 12/2/2011

I just returned from a volunteer trip to an underdeveloped country, & I really needed some pampering. I got exactly that! Jessica B gave me such a great pedicure, I almost dozed off. And Danitza followed it up with a haircut that both my husband & I love! Best part is, I called in & was able to get an appointment within the hour. Thank you girls! more

Not a Great Spray Tan 11/21/2011

I came down to Anna Maria Island for a spray tan for my wedding. I did a lot of research in trying to find a good place to give me a nice glow or color for my wedding. I've always trusted Aveda Salon's so my sister and I were very excited to go to this salon. After my spray tan I was told that it would darken which it did not. It did not look like anything had been done. I tried not to care and still had a great time at the wedding. However, during the honeymoon the spray tan began turning all my clothes and manicured nails black. Somehow the spray tan turns black 2-4 days after you have it done! My nails were ruined with a horrible black discoloration, my white clothes had black stains and periodically my skin in certain areas would have a black discoloration to it. I am from Michigan and have had many spray tans. I have never, ever had them do what this spray tan did. I'm doing this review to warn any brides who are planning on going here to get their spray tan before their wedding. Not a good outcome on day 2. more

This is a wonderful salon near the beach. It is calming and relaxing the minute you walk in the door. Clean and professional. Great stylists, pedicure, massage and more. It is a mini vacation every time I go in! more

Perfect Appointment 11/13/2011

I was exhausted and the stylist realized it and didn't try to engage me in too much conversation. Having said that enough conversation to determed what I wanted. I believe she could sense my mood and tried to just let me relax. As a special treat she had the message therapist provide an introduction to the services with a hand massage. The color and cut was well done and had several compliments. Thank you more

Best on Anna Maria Island 11/1/2011

I have been a local in Manatee county for over 7 years and have visited many salons and spas from not so upscale to very upscale and this Aveda is hands down the best. They are a bit pricey but the service you receive is worth the cost. I always recommend this Aveda to everyone. more
