William Barnes is a dog trainer and the owner of Acme K9 Services. He is also certified through Pet Tech (pettech.net) to teach animal first aid courses: and this is how I met him. I took an all-day animal CPR class with him and was impressed with both his command of the material and the easy way in which he made it accessible to the class. For me, one-day courses rarely work. In this case, at the end of the day, I felt that I had the knowledge and resources (class text and other) to confront most situations that might require immediate attention before getting an animal to a vet. He talked a little about his philosophy for dog training -- one that uses positive reinforcement, not negative – and what he said about his clients and methods inspired my confidence. If I were ever to need a trainer I wouldn’t hesitate to call on him. I recommend him and Acme K9 for any and all of the services they offer. more

William is a great trainer who has been involved in helping train my fear-aggressive ACD and teaching him how to behave in the presence of strange dogs and new people. We have progressed so far in our training that he is now able to participate in doggie daycare. William has also helped give me the tools and knowledge that have helped me become a better dog owner. He is one of very few people that I would trust my dogs with, as I know that he cares and has the experience to identify and diffuse a problem before one would occur. more

William is the best trainer I have ever worked with. I rescued a little pit-bull pup, and I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Luckly, he was there to rescue the both of us! Callie's whole attitude has changed. He really puts the dog first and I really appreciated that. He sits down on the floor with her, and with his patience and loving understanding, he teaches her, and she gets it! William is so well educated.. and has an answer for all of my million questions. William is completely dependable, and I trust him greatly. Its been such a pleasure getting to know him! If you're reading this, Willie, I love ya! William has made my experience with adopting a rescue dog one of the most memorable and most amazing experiences of my life. I adopted my pitbull Bobbi from him over a year ago, and he has stuck by my side with amazing training programs, telephone help whenever I need his advice, or have any questions, and constant care and time dedication to me and my amazing pup! Not only have I had wonderful experiences from all of the obedience, aggression, resource guarding, and various amounts of other training subjects from William, but I also learned so much valuable and potentially life saving information for my dog from his Pet First- Aid course.
