About Faces Day Spa & Salon

I was refered by a friend to go to About Faces in Timonium to see Jen to get my color fixed. She was very friendly/attentive and knew a lot about hair (mine is fine but wavey). My hair has never looked so fabulous! She blew out my hair with a round brush and created soft waves like all the movie stars have. I love the hair products too. The only thing I had a problem with was the younger girls that work at the front desk. They seem more interested in talking to their coworkers then helping clients, but I will still be going back to see Jen for now on. Yes, I agree the staff is rude and not too bright(especially front/check out) They are FAR from "high class at this location. Women Beware: It's my opinion now(after being informed by previous worker) that some of the massage therepist are allowed to" Fake Flirt/Fake Flatter Women" JUST FOR MONEY- HOW CHEAP! Yes, being pampered and treated "Special" is part of their job- BUT NOT FLIRTING FOR TIPS/CLIENTS. The massage was great, there was no need for him to think to keep me, he would have to sell myself short.Being single, I found him smart and attractive and took a chance and gave him my number(because he acted single). ---Then, come to find out-he was ENGAGED TO MY STYLIST-SO I HAD TO WORRY SHE KNEW I GAVE HER FINANCE MY PHONE NUMBER-If he hadn't made INNUENDOES WITH ME-this awkward position would never had happen. Anyway, she was clueless or has to accept this MESS from him for some reason. ---I don't accept this B.S. from anyone- Because It causesd me to possibly loss a hair dresser.'How could she not know? Maybe, she thinks a normal part of his job-But GROSS! How awkward for me! Now image: Would he had said the same thing that he said to me(hot young women) to an older women" I could use my "other body part's" for a 5 hours massage".--It was a flirting innueondo. Wouldn't he explain"which body parts" to an older women, who could have been offended.?? Yes, I could forgive Natural Attraction(made judgement) but I lost my hairdresser and my intelligence as a Women was insulted, because really he was just being a giggalo(for money) I contacted the corp.office and hopefully they will respect my request for refund. -And requested an apology- "I don't have to pay anyone for Flattery or for them to want to "use their other body parts on me!, I'm a beautiful smart girl, not one of those twits that work at that salon. --My Take Is....BETTER TO DEAL WITH COMPUTER for prices, THAN THE PEOPLE AT THE FRONT DESK-THE COMPUTER IS SMARTER THAN SOME! It can be scary getting dark hair lightened and this time is looks GREAT! My hair feels even Softer and Sexier than ever! Whatever products(hair color) Plus, I am letting it grow longer and she didn't want to chop it off. The Biggest Pro: Upstairs Staff is Warm and Professional. It's MY FAVORITE AREA, it is quiet and the staff is Nice and does a good job. Ema styled my brows and, it has been a few years since I found someone that actually keeps my brows LOOKING NATURAL AND GORGEOUS-not to be a snob, but my brows look Hot! ---I would recommend Ema to everyone and plan to return for a FACIAL WITH HER, She was sooo nice and helpful, Thanks again Ema. (Just wish the upstairs had it's own entrance and I would skip that misable check in experience) For being so wanna be trendy, it isn't keeping up with the Times. Every time I've been here, it's been only an average to below average experience. I get better customer service at the Hair Cuttery in Cockeysville, MD than here. I see no reason to spend so much money at this average to below average salon. They need to choose better hair stylists. It's a below average salon dressed up to appear better than it really is. The last time I went my hair stylist Jenn talked about how much she didn't want kids after I talked to her about my child. Then she had negative opinions at the fact that I took my child there for a hair cut. She thought that children should be young and their hair shouldn't matter at that young age. I was surprised at her negativity about children and her lack of support for her company. Then she complained that I hadn't made an appointment with her in 6 months, which obviously was too long for her. Her rude facial expressions were alarming to me. I did not know how long I had waited to have her cut my hair again, but she let me know with her sour attitude. Hair stylists have poor communication skills and are unhappy people. It's been worse at the About Faces Day Spa in Towson, MD. Unbelievable! I have now come to the conclusion that About Faces is a below average salon. I did not know if I was in Russia or in Timonium. Will never go back there. Manicurist are very rude and only spoke their Russian language. Felt very uncomforable and could not wait to get out of there. Too institutionalized for me. Rather go to a more personalized Spa. Pros: none Cons: none more

the services themselves arent bad...its the people there that are horrible...They really look down upon others and treat some of their clients and employees unfairly..if my hair dresser wouldnt work there i would never step foot into such a discriminating place! as far as the vibe i got from being there, they think they are too "high class" for some of us. I've been to All About Faces twice - once for a french pedicure and a second time for highlights and haircut. Pros: Wide range of business hours - its open from morning till night (except Sunday) Friendly Staff Conveinent Location - right off of Timonium Rd Exit on 83 Offers all types of services - massages, hair, nails, facials Good availibility for appointments Cons: Expensive - $45 and up just for a haircut!! Interior - doesn't really have that "soothing" spa interior you would expect - bright lights and cheap decor Sales Pressure - they always seem to be trying to get you to buy something Pros: Friendly Staff, Big Range of Services, Good Location Cons: Expensive, Boring Interior, Sales Pressure more

I have gone to About Faces in Timonium since they opened and I've always have a great experience, whether you want your hair styled for a big event, in my case my wedding (thank you Wilma) or whether you want a great massage, for me right now pregnancy massages are the best (thank you Susana), about faces has a great staff working for them always friendly and ready to do what ever they can, to help you relax and enjoy your treatments. They have the latest technologies and are always up to date with new techniques in massages, facials, etc. I love it! Pros: knowledgeable staff, great parking, excelletn services more
