Aardvark Movers- Austin Texas Moving Company

Do not use this company. Their truck ran through my yard, destroyed mailboxes and other property. They said they would pay for the damages, but do not respond to calls or written claims. I'm out over $1000 because they will not take responsibility for their truck plowing through my yard, while they were moving my neighbor's things. more

Horrible customer service is a very bad first impression. I will not be giving this company a second chance. more

I had a horrible experience with this company. We moved most of our items ourselves, and hired Aardvark to move the heavy stuff. They didn't wrap ANYTHING. They dragged my mattress and box spring along the ground and the bottom edge that was laying on the truck floor got filthy with grease and dirt that won't come out. They used SHIPPING tape (not painter's tape, which comes off easily) to close my dresser drawers. I offered to remove the drawers and the movers declined. My entertainment center arrived with scratches and dents. My treadmill clamp that holds it folded up was completely broken off. My refrigerator got 2 noticeable dings in the doors.\r \r I ended up moving a desk I hadn't anticipated moving, which wasn't on the list. One of the movers said that he'd have to write that down and charge us a LOT more, but that if we tipped him well he wouldn't write it down. Extortion much? Absolutely horrible company. The refunded me $100, which doesn't even come close to covering my losses. more

I hired Aardvark Movers because of the great reviews they had. They did an awesome job. My mother moved with a loaded down Uhaul truck and we used Aardvark Movers to unload the truck. They took great care in moving her furniture without breakage. They used the quickest route possible to the 3rd floor apt. which was going up and down the stairs instead of down two long hallways to the elevator. That saved me lots of money in hourly rate. Wow, I have moved alot of times in lots of states and these guys were the best movers I have ever seen. I would highly recommend them to anyone and will definately use them again. They were a bit higher than some other companies in hourly rates, but believe me they cost me less in the long run by using the stairs. Very professional from beginning to end. My girlfriend and I decided to move in together after about years of dating. \r I tried putting off moving in with him for the simple reason of the move itself. Just thinking about packing and moving all of stuff gave me a headache. \r I was warned against using movers because they always break your stuff and are horribly expensive...but despite all the warnings, my laziness won me over and I called Aardvark Movers.\r Contrary to popular belief, these guys were pretty great. \r They showed up on the day scheduled and moved all my boxes on their truck. They did all the annoying work of moving everything basically including the big stuff. \r \r Overall they did a totally solid job. Nothing broke and the movers and foreman were very friendly. \r \r Special kudos to Sarah in sales who was really helpful!\r more

The movers showed up at my disgusting apartment and started to pack things without any complaints and without putting latex gloves on because of all the disgust! I even offered!I got their number from a family friend who used them recently. Their rates were decent and their service was simply great. Im a lazy individual so I opted for them to pack my stuff which they did perfectly and didnt charge me much extra. When we got to San Francisco they unpacked my stuff at my apartment and even helped me fix some things around my apartment for no extra charge. more

Aardvark Movers were horrible. I had a morning slot reserved, 15 minutes before they were supposed to show up the manager called saying it would have to be a few hours later. A few hours later another guy calls saying it wouldn't be until later on in the afternoon. So the movers showed up 7 hours late. I then found out later that it was not even Aardvark Movers that was moving me. They had called another company to come take the job and I was never even notified. Horrible experience and extremely unprofessional. more

after my movers that i initially hired didn't show up, i called aardvark at the last minute and they came through.....they took great care with my breakables in moving them out and into a storage facility; i'll def be using them again to move into my new place; i'd recommend them to anyone based on the combination of quality service, low cost, and being on time.....also, for anyone using a uhaul, by the time you get done buying your friends/relatives dinner for helping you move, you might as well have used aardvark and get it done faster and spend about the same amount.\r Pros: service, cost more

My husband and I struggled with the idea of hiring movers for our move from Austin to Lago Vista. At first we chose to use Aardvark because of their reasonable price and excellent customer service. Now, we are ?lifers.? When our movers, Andre and Cleo, showed up we were pleased to meet two fine young men; they were both very professional and courteous throughout the entire process. By the time they were done they had worked a full day moving us into our new home, endured over 100 degree heat and were successful in preventing any damage to ALL of our belongings. These two young men never once stopped to take anything more than a quick water break. I am pleased to say that my experience with them has convinced me to never use another moving company again. I lived in my old place for two years partly because moving is a pain. I wasn't in the market to make any of my friends help me move a washer and dryer down from my third-floor apartment, and, having a new job, I didn't have a lot of time to move some of the larger items in my home. I chose Aardvark because they came well-recommended on City Search--and for good reason! The two movers who came were helpful and friendly. They carried a whole lot of heavy furniture down more than three flights of stairs, still taking time to have fun conversation and always willing to be flexible and go above and beyond. \r \r Andre was especially helpful. He beamed to me about how happy and satisfying he found moving as a profession. You can imagine the kind of great service you're going to get from someone that excited about his job. They had me moved into my new place, which had the good fortune of being situated directly on the ground, in about a half hour. All of my stuff was perfectly in tact, and the only casualty of the move was a small mark where an especially large piece of furniture rubbed against the door. Even though it wasn't really a big deal, and was very superficial, Andre made sure to get the landlord's number and immediately called him in front of me, telling me that he'll come over and repaint the door himself if he has to. I would have to say I was really impressed with that kind of accountability.\r \r There's a stereotype about movers, that your stuff isn't safe with them or that they're not totally trustworthy. That's what makes the selection of movers a tough process. With Aardvark, I didn't feel that for a minute. They more than proved to me the difference loving your job makes.
