I LOVED MY FACIAL!!! 3/14/2011

I would NEVER write a review but in this case I just had to. All I can say is that I have had many facials & this one was the best. My wonderful Esthetician was Yvonne, she actually listened to what my needs were and gave me wonderful suggestions on how to improve and help maintain my skin. As for the decor of the spa.....it was ok and the front desk girl was very sweet. I'm giving this 5 stars because I just loved, loved, loved my facial. more

GREAT SERVICES!!!!! 10/4/2010

I love this spa!!! I had a day of mini-pampering and It was perfect! I have been to the lager location and services were good but this sweet gem was perfect for a very relaxing afternoon. The spa was quiet, cozy and best of all my facial, mani and pedi were perfect. Both of my girls were sweet and did an awesome job! Thank you Tina & Evon! more

Great Place, always! 9/29/2010

I love this little cozy Day Spa. Great facials, massages and nail services. I've been coming here since 2002 and love what they have to offer to their clients. I am a little confused by reading other reviews because Urban Retreat west doesn't do hair!!! What's with all the stylists reviews? Yvonne and Samar are the best for facials and waxings, and Lupe gives by far the best massage in Houston period. more

I HEART KELLY! 8/11/2010

I just had the most fun I have ever had at a salon in my life. I payed money and got exactly what I wanted, great hair and a great time. Urban has stepped it up since the last time I went. Back to a good old A+ in my book. It was raining when I went and there was valet +. The front desk was nice +. Got a great shampoo +. Kelly, my stylist, was amazing +...There you go you go ladies and gents. This place is back to where it used to be. Never mind changing it for A+ to A++! more

Great Facial Treatment 7/13/2010

I went in last week for a facial after work and I had a very nice treatment. The girl , Yvonne did a superb job and she took her time to explain what she did. I am very happy with the results and will return next month! Pros: great staff/ excellent facialist more

Outstanding Stylist 5/8/2010

My favorite stylist, Trey Gillen, gives personal attention to the style I want to create. He is friendly and fun and his work - flawless. My work as a professional dancer demands that my hair look its best and stay healthy. Trey always knows just how to handle it. more

best mens haircut in Houston, Trey Gillen 5/7/2010

finally i find a hairstylist after 5 yrs of living in Houston. Trey Gillen is an artist! He really listened to me and then took my cut to the next level! I have received many compliments on the style and especially the highlights...suttle but noticed. A very professional and friendly guy. Best hairstylist 5/7/2010

I found the best hairstylist at Urban Retreat. Trey Gillen. I took me 5 years to find a Houston hairstylist that I liked and that I felt like I got my money worth with the style/cut. i have been shopping for a new stylist since my previous one moved to a new location that wasnt convenient for me. i have been to 4-5 stylists, none of which could style my long, thick hair. i recently went to see trey gillen after a friend referred me. i was not disappointed!! he does a fabulous job with my hair, and i have 1-2 appointments a week with him now. he is friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable. trust me i know. i am very picky when it comes ot my hair. Great place, skilled massage therapist 1/24/2010

I have tried many spas around Houston, and now I only go to the two main Urban Retreat locations because they are consistently good every time. However, if I'm going for a massage, I always to go this Urban Retreat location and schedule with Lupe. What sets him apart from the others is his skilled technique and knowledge of how to treat certain problems, especially having to with repetitive use strain (for me in the arms/wrist/shoulder from working long hours at a desk). He takes massage therapy seriously and knows what he is doing. Highly recommended. Pros: many pros! Cons: none more

GREAT FACIAL FROM YVONNE! 12/7/2009

I went in a couple of weeks ago and had the BEST facial! I have been to MANY spas in Houston and on vacation and none of them compare to the one I had at Urban Retreat. My facialist was very professional and my skin looked radiant! All my friends kept asking me what I had done..someone even said my skin looked "younger"! (I have to admit I did get a peel) Thanks Yvonne for such quality service! I will be back! Pros: Informative & Professional Cons: ?? more

Most Impressive Facial EVER 11/1/2009

This has been the best experience with Yvonne, the facial specialist. She did a wonderful job and I will be making plans to return for further treatments. She truly made me feel like a million dollars, she is a great asset to this company, don't let her goooo. Everyone was very professional and sweet, made me feel very welcome. I always read peoples reviews but have never written a review, but this had to be done, because of the excellent experience and wonderful client service. Thanks again Yvonne your 1 in a million. The staff is always gracious. The nail technicians are all great and take their time to be sure my nails always look perfect when I walk out. Great coffee and goodies also! Pros: My nails always look great and the polish lasts! Cons: None more

OMG! I went to Urban Retreat yesterday and Sarah did my hair. She did highlights/lowlights, toner, hair cut and the whole experience was just wonderful! I will definitely go back! I have already received tons of compliments on my hair! IT LOOKS GREAT! Recommend her to everyone!!! I PROMISE you will be happy with the results!!! I have been going to Urban Retreat West for several years now and despite the face I live further out now, every time I try a different spa I go right back to Urban Retreat! They are the only people I'll trust with my lash dye these days, and the other treatments I have had there on occasion have been equally high quality. The reception staff are always so welcoming, and the therapists extremely professional and friendly; they will go the extra mile to make sure everything is perfect with no complaints. Also I like the fact that not once in all these years have they ever tried to sell me any products - I hate sales pressure. I'd have to move really far away to stop going! Pros: Service - from all staff and the quality of the treatment Cons: None more

Highly recommend this little jewel! 2/27/2009

Just went to this spa with my sister. The facilities are VERY clean, equipment is sanitized for each customer so I don't know how the "bad"reviewer thought it wasn't sanitary. Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful and nice to us - noone did a hard sell or even encouraged us to buy specific products. The facial was the best I have EVER had - the esthetician knew her business and in addition made me feel very cared for and pampered. Spa chair is to die for! And Mani/Pedi was professional and wonderfully relaxing. We both thought this one of the best spa experiences we've ever had. Not the fanciest place but clean, well-cared for and one of the best experiences ever! Highly recommend. Pros: Caring professional staff who know their business. Clean and relaxing atmosphere. Cons: Not real upscale ambience but quiet and relaxing nonetheless. more
