A-Mass Towing

A-Mass towing is a predatory and shady company. I would never voluntarily do business with them.\r \r I walked out to my car in the morning to go to work and had a nice orange tow-notice sign on my driver's side window. It said that I had an expired license plate and that my vehicle was subject to be towed. It was dated the previous day, which is interesting since I parked at 10pm. They must have come by between 10pm and midnight just scouting out cars to tow. The definition of predatory.\r \r Did I mention this was my private driveway?\r \r Yes, my plate has an outdated sticker. My car is fully registered and I am merely waiting on a replacement. I poured over my state, town,and county ordinances and there is none relating to outdated license plates on private property.\r \r While I continue wait for my sticker, I'm just going to back my car up so close to my garage door that you can't see the plate and take a photo. If they tow me, they'll be facing a lawsuit. And if you search for these jerks on Google, you'll see there are plenty of others who have faced problems. Funny that on Yelp they only have two reviews, both positive. My bet is they will pay to get this removed. more

I went to Pine Glen Apartments on the southside, to drop my daughter off some money. Wasn't inside 4 mins. I came out to my truck being loaded on a flatbed. I asked ""Why I was being towed?"" He said ""I had no parking pass."" I told him I was just droping the money off to my daughter. That I had been there less than 5 mins. We got into a disagreement over him towing my truck. Then he said if I gave him $75 he would drop my truck. My daughter was on the phone with the apartments office manager at this time. Police showed up. His office called and told him to drop the truck the officer told him to drop my truck. He kept ""crying"" over $75. Needless to say I got my truck and he did not get the $75 he informed me it would take to get my truck......NO MATTER WHAT...............NOW WHO WON?????????? ONE FOR THE GOOD GUYS!!!!!!!! more

So they towed my boyfriends car last night who came to visit with me for the night and he parked in a spot he wasn't supposed to okay I get it if the aparment clearly would have marked the exact guest visitor parking spot this all would of been avoided but anyway I'm not angry over the towing I'm angry over after paying the $225.00 in cash that we got the car back and the headlight was out which it wasn't before and it was on the side they booted and towed by. It seems to me that they would be a little more careful in towing peoples car so they don't have to fork out more money then what they already had to fork out to get the car back..... more

During a Veterans' Day ceremonial event! So these war veterans drove to a Veterans' Day memorial event and A-Mass came and towed their cars while they were inside ... all on Veterans' Day! They also have a bunch of dead cats all over their property. I don't know why, but it's really gross and weird. I think the owner is a terrorist, or a communist... or both. more

As a former employee of A-mass I have personally witnessed other employees move a car that was parked legal to an illegal spot via the use of ""go jacks"" at Three Fountains. The same date I saw them tow a vehicle that had a permit that was mostly hidden over the visor, but was still visible enough that they then used the ""unlock kit"" to break into the vehicle and to hide the permit so it would not be visible in their digital photo ""evidence"". Both vehicles were towed illegally. The vehicles were a white VW Jetta and a dark blue Mercury minivan. The Jetta had a muffler dragging which left visible marks on the pavement. My understanding is that A-mass lost the Three Fountains account recently but that does not make right the wrongs that I witnessed. Look up the pictures on your computer Torry, should be real easy to find since there weren't alot of white VW Jettas with a muffler issue ""parked"" by the yellow curb towed the same time as the Mercury minivan for no ""visible"" permit out of Three Fountains.As for the allegations of drug use and sales, as the headline of this review says, SAD BUT TRUE. Just a FEW of the things I witnessed. The only thing ""patently ludicrous' is that Torry Stiles still has a job. more

Just a note. The folks complaining below were not towed voluntarily. Thery were impounded for a variety of reasons from private property or while parked illegally on the street where signage is posted .\r \r The fella with the rant about Three Fountains had his vehicle impounded for trespass issues ... since he wasn't a legal resident of those apartments he was to park his vehicle in the ample guest parking lot or use one of the passes the legal residents have on hand for their guests. His charges of drug sales by the staff are patently ludicrous. more

I had the pleasure of dealing with A-Mass towing 3 times now. This company May work as private towing, but the work like slums. The way they pick up cars and store them nevers insures they vehicles will be safe from any damage. They will always claim vehicle was in the shape at time of pickup. Never seen a company represent itself so poorly in my life. Pray you never get towed legal or illegal by this company. Good chance you will be doing repairs because of their lazy towing crew. Life sometimes bites, but least a company can store a vehicles safely where damage is not done, and hold owner responsible for repairs. Cons: Bad Service more

I was towed in front of my own house as well. There were two other cars parked around me yet I was the only one that got towed???? So I try and call the company and they have no explanation as to why the other two cars didn't get towed. UNNNN-Freakin real! more

Since the time I moved into Three Fountains East Apartments back in 1997, there have gradually been changes that have made the complex more dangerous and easier for the criminals to do their thing. It is difficult to say whether or not the property ******* is still dealing *****. The apartment ******* *****, got her job through **** connections. DO NOT trust the management!!!! When I first moved in here it was with my teenage daughter. She quickly fell into the drugs, which are available like candy. A couple of the 'then' drug dealers are still living in the complex. Every neighbor I've ever met has had either a break-in or an attempted break-in. Rapes and burglery are not uncommon. But unfortunately, instead of going after the criminals, the management punishes the residents. They have put up steel gates that lock in the crime, making a bad situation worse. They have hired a group of roughians, called A-MASS TOWING. I have been witness to these people harrassing both verbally and physically, the residents of Three Fountains East, both old and young. They are eager to tow cars, even when the residents have followed the 'rules'. I was witness to a young man being verbally abused, including the 'N' word. He had broken no rules, the parking pass was on his vehicle, but A-MASS TOWING claimed that it was forged. It most definitely WAS NOT. They attempted to physically hold him until the cops showed up. The young man was simply dropping off his mother's prescriptions. He still had to pay 75 dollars to keep his (HIS) car. A-MASS and therefore, Kirkpatrick Management are truly harrassing the residents of Three Fountains!!! This is BIG MONEY for the empoyees of A-MASS TOWING. I watched them tow no fewer than four vehicles yesterday. Speaking with the neighbors, it was obvious that they have been targeted. I am urging everyone to have their camcorders ready for recording to capture these incidents on YouTube. DON'T MOVE INTO THREE FOUNTAINS EAST unless you are a GUN SLINGING DRUG DEALER / GANGSTER!!!! The GOOD people move out, while the criminals are moving in.... GEE... thanks Three Fountains and Kirkpatrick Management! On a good note, the maintenance is pretty good. When I had a gas leak a couple months back, they were at my apartment at 2 pm on a Saturday. It didn't even bother me that his uniform smelled like ***, because I was just happy to get the leak fixed. Pros: None! Cons: Crooked and potentially violent! more

Got my car towed for NO reason- had it returned to me with damage. They broke into my car- damaged it in the process, and stole items from my console. I have called over 3 times- left messages- Jessica wont speak to me about it. NEVER USE THEM. TERRIBLE Cons: they tow without permission, damage, they steal more

I was extremely disappointed with this company. They towed my car off my street, in front of my house. If they had an issue where my car was placed, the apporpriate thing to do would be to knock on my door and notify me. Then, there sales manager was extremely rude, and didn't care she is taking money for christmas gifts from my family, expecially in these economic times. more
