I thought ADT is great. It was all propagant. What they promised in their ads is not true. I had it myself and I am pissed off. I am paying for nothing.

I was referred to an ADT salesman, who arrived and assessing the situation, came up with an affordable plan for me. I signed an agreement for the plan, and the next day a technician arrived and installed the alarm. He then made sure I understood how to arm and disarm the system. I was also given easy to follow step-by-step instructions and a video. They do want to make sure you understand the system. They want to avoid 'false' alarms. more

electrical power not needed 9/19/2011

ADT monitored home security systems are wireless. A wireless home security system does not need electrical power to operate and will not be disconnected if a burglar cuts the electrical wiring leading to your home. This gives you and your family an extra layer of protection. more

My keychain remote is a must-have! Arming/disarming is done with one button. It's great when my hands are full! I also keep it by my bed at night in case I need the panic button - best benefit in my opinion more

not recommended 11/3/2010

I do not recommend ADT for security service. We were ADT customers for several years and had a new system installed in Oct 09. It's Feb 10 and ADT has never billed correctly to match charges in the original contract. Each time we contacted them about billing errors, they stated there was a mistake in the original contract and they offered a lower monthly billing. We've cancelled all service with ADT and are going with a competitor. Apparently ADT doesn't care at all about customer service. more
