My headache started when a local sales rep ftalked us into signing up for a month-to-month contract for our home. There's only one problem, ADT doesn't offer a month-to-month contract (unless the sales rep makes a note on the contract), contracts require at least a 2 year commitment. more

ADT helped me 3/7/2013

I have experience with 3 alarm companies so far. The first 2 were two local companies and the third one was a big shot in Canada. I lost my faith in security companies. I had a huge loss of money and time. ADT is the only company who could help me out with my security. more

additional sensors 3/3/2013

Our system was already installed when we moved in and we had it upgraded a year later with additional door sensors to cover every possible opening. It actually works too well sometimes because we have accidentally tripped it a number of times. more

good product 2/27/2013

My installation only cost £299 which includes the Metropolitan Police Registration fee. The system was installed in about 5 hours with the minimum mess. I opted also for a combined smoke/C02 detector that alerts the alarm receiving centre if I have a fire/gas leak. more

very good kits 2/24/2013

As this is a centrally monitored system the kit has to be really good. The internal sensors work by detecting heat with movement so that the chance of a false intruder alarm is limited. The smoke detector also works as a carbon monoxide detector. Detectors can be set to trigger a beep when they are activated eg if the front door is opened. The installation engineer was arranged efficiently and came out when promised. more

Happy Customer 2/16/2013

We moved into an apartment that already had an ADT alarm. When the technician came out to reactivate the system, he only had to make minor adjustments to the positions of certain sensors even though the system had been dormant for 5 years (the tenant before us hadn't used it). I was really impressed that the system was still in great shape even so many years later! more

something happened 1/18/2013

They are good but sometimes they tend to forget their obligations. Like I had to call them several times to repair my system and it took them a week to come to my place. It something happened during that week, I am totally in danger. more

I have had ADT since August 2003 and love them! They call immediately when the alarm goes off. They are very responsive. They come out quickly to change batteries. I have never had any problems with them. Just wish they were a little less expensive. more

I wish i would have thought about home security before i got robbed. Though its late, I still have to get ADT service not because I have to but to make sure that burglary will not happen again. It is good that I wasn't hurt. more

unfair charges 10/13/2012

My entire community has ADT hardware installed in our homes. I have never come across a more ridiculous scenario!! I have to spend close to $200 to have the system looked at, and all I need is a door. You sell the product but not the part, and if you do you charge an unfair amount... I despise your company and the treatment I've received! I will FOREVER tell this story to everyone interested in your services! more

happy ending 10/7/2012

I came home from the grocery store about a month ago and saw a cop car outside my house. As I got closer, I heard the siren going off and figured out what probably happened, but I was still surprised because I didn’t really think anyone would try to break in in the middle of the day. The cop checked my ID and then said that no one was in the house now but asked me to see if anything was missing. The thief did get our video game console, but ADT had given us a $500 guarantee if things got stolen while the alarm was working so all in all it was a happy ending. more

After watching the news about all the different mom and pop alarm company's in town here the obvious choice for me was ADT. Alot of these alarm company's didn't even have a license to sell alarms. That was disturbing. Also alot of them are using out dated equipment. ADT has been doing this for over 130 years so I think they know what they are doing by now. more
