HORRIBLE is right.\r I work for a large arcade and food service company. And have used A to Z in the past. They are always difficult to work with and take a long time to get answers and never get back to you without having to call them 1st. They are rarely able to actually fix problems. This is partly do to their lack of certifications from major manufactures (Onkyo and the like). They come unprepared to fix any issues and have long turn around times.\r Last June (before we had these bad experiences) I gave them my home theater receiver to work on. They could not get the parts from Onkyo (not certified) and had to contact Onkyo directly to find out why and how to get the parts. Due to a lot of bad circumstances I could not pick up the receiver. They sent one reminder letter in January and I called to try and pick it up, but was unable to. So I was in the area 2 months later and called to say I was coming. They informed me that they no longer had it and they called and sent letters. None that I received, and no letter I would have had to sign for before they tossed my $1.5k piece of home theater equipment.\r Needless to say they won't be repairing anymore of my equipment or my businesses.\r And taking them to small claims court. more

Horrible customer service and do not show up for appointments. They might be fine at actual service but they were supposed to come out for a warranty repair from 9am-1pm for me and did not show up nor call. I had to call them and they were unapologetic but said they would come out first thing the next morning at 9am. Once again, no call and no show. Called them again and they were extremely rude basically saying it's not their problem. Called Panasonic and cancelled their service call. Stay far, far away. more

Excellent Service & Repair 12/19/2011

My wife and I could not be happier with the service and repair that A to Z did for us. Our TV is fixed (and since it was under warranty, we weren't charged a dime) and we're happy. A to Z is a real Mom & Pop business and we will go back! more

Good service of dead JVC 42"" LCD HD-TV 8/15/2011

Fixed TV at quoted price and time frame. I brought TV to shop and picked it up. They helped unload and load TV into car. I would definitely use their service again. more

Outstanding job fixing my Samsung DLP TV 4/16/2010

Called on 4/15/10 in the mid morning and talked to Sergio. I knew that the likely problem was needing a new color wheel on my 6+ year old Samsung DLP TV, considering the loud whine. He had the part and quoted a price. He checked his schedule and called back quickly and said he could fix it between 4 and 5:00 PM the same day! Awesome! He called enroute, arrived at 4:30 and in a half hour I was fixed. He was very knowledgeable, thorough, and courteous. I had called Best Buy's Geek Squad earlier and they could come in several days to diagnose the problem, then 5+ days to get the part, and with a somewhat higher price. Called A to Z based on a recommendation from A & B TV where I bought the TV. Was a little concerned by the mixed reviews for A to Z on the web, but glad I called them. OUTSTANDING WORK BY SERGIO! NO BS! Pros: Great, same day service, fair price more

Fantastic service for warranty work. 8/5/2009

I'd had a terrible experience with a different Samsung warranty vendor, so Samsung sent me to A to Z. They were very quick to call me back, kept me in the loop while parts were ordered, and did the job right as quickly as they could. The tech, Don, was great. The dispatcher was great. If you're worried that your warranty work will be badly handled, don't. These folks do a fantastic job. Pros: Great communication, quick service, they give two hour windo Cons: none. more

A rip off - do not use 2/9/2009

Paid $210 for home visit and diagnostics of Hitachi big screen. I gave them all of the info on the TV (model, problems, ect.) so the tech. could study up before he came. He arrived on time with no diagnostic devices. Did have a screwdriver to try another bulb, but brought the wrong replacement. Just looked at the set and wrote down problems. Said he would contact Hitachi and contact me back. When I finally contacted him, he said Hitachi would not help him. I am now working directly with Hitachi. Total waste of my money to pay these fools. Cons: Take you money for nothing. more

Intermittent Problem? Stay away from this one. 2/19/2008

A To Z does not want your business if you have an intermittent problem. They don't even want to come out to attempt to diagnose. They only want to pick up the TV and haul it in even though I have a contract for in-home service. This is not an opinion, dispatcher told me so. more

Good warranty repair 1/21/2008

I can't speak for the other reviews, but when my Panasonic Plasma broke down (awful green noise after 4-5 hours), I really didn't have a choice for a repair shop as Panasonic only licenses certain shops. Still A to Z handled the repair well. They called me up to schedule an appointment (only a 2 hour window) and the guy was on time. First visit was just to look at the problem, a replacement DG board came in 2 days later. Their tech, Ed, was very courteous and followed up with me after the repair to ensure the TV was fixed. This was pain-free - which is more than I expected from a warranty repair. more

terrible follow up, long delays making repairs 9/19/2007

waiting for parts for 30 days, poor coordination with Toshiba to get the parts delivered on time, no pro-active action to follow up on the problem, don't seem to care about the fact that this problem has dragged on for over 1 month. Pros: they answer the phones Cons: not helpful in getting my TV fixed on time more

Unethical Business, Poor Service 11/28/2006

Took a new Phillips 32"" to A to Z for warranty work, initially they kept the TV for weeks past the date promised, then when supposedly repaired, the TV cabinet had been severely damaged while at the shop. The shop initially took responsibility, attempting to patch the gouge in the cabinet, but when it was clear they could not fix their damage, and a new Phillips cabinet would cost them money, they denied having caused any damage. On top of that, neither of the two issues the TV was dropped off for, and A to Z billed Phillips for, was repaired. I will deal with this company through claims court, but PLEASE DO NOT USE!!! Cons: unethical practices, poor service, poor shop/store administration more

Very good experience 9/5/2006

I had just the opposite experience as the previous reviewer had. Took in my microwave which was not working at all. Paid $35 for diagnostic evaluation (hey, nobody works for free), and was told someone would call the next day with the results. As promised, they called the next morning said the problem was a fuse holder had burned out and the total cost for repair was $56.61. The $35 already paid was deducted so the total amount due was $21.61. I was able to pick it up that day. more

Rip Off! Beware! 7/24/2005

I was charged $190 for ""in home service"" which consisted of a visual inspection of my big-screen TV, and given a ""guesstimate"" of $600 - $800 to fix, plus I was told at that time that I would be charged an additional $180 to take the set in for complete diagnostics because in-home diagnostic was ""too complicated"". The tech used no instrumentation whatsoever to diagnose the problem. I was led to believe that they could diagnose the problem and fix the TV in my home, hence I thought the $190 was charged so that they could afford to buy and transport the necessary diagnostic equipment, but all the tech brought with him was a toolkit with some screwdrivers and other basic tools. When I asked for a refund of the $120 diagnostic fee (I was still willing to pay the $70 ""travel time"" cost), the office manager refused. Cons: Deceptive practice, Overpriced, Non-performing more
