Selecting a mover is easy, right? Not so fast: take a look around and you'll read lots of horror stories about bait-and-switch tactics, stolen property and broken possessions. I've personally known people who've had this happen to them, so when my wife and I moved to our new home, I relied heavily on online reviews to ferret out the best choice.\r \r The reviews here for A Team seemed uniformly positive and real. I called them and Brian came down to give me an estimate two days later. Unlike another company whose estimator walked in and provided an 'estimate' after looking at my apartment contents in 30 seconds, Brian took the time to count all the pieces of furniture, and the general contents of the room. When he gave me an estimate after spending a half-hour doing so, I thought it was fair price, honestly arrived at. He also informed me that the estimate was the max price we'd pay for the job - no hidden charges afterwards. I booked the job with them the next day for the following week.\r \r There is a great deal to be said about a business that says what it does and then does what it says. Brian had warned us that our job was large enough that the move would take two days, and he was absolutely right. On the first day, three men showed up and began carefully wrapping our large furniture items and removing items room by room, working their way from the front to the rear of our home. In the afternoon, we met them at our new home and they unloaded everything they'd packed during the morning. They were patient during a time when my wife and I were both mentally scattered from spending weeks packing and coordinating a new home purchase, and they didn't seem to mind whenever we weren't sure of something or changed our minds later.\r \r Day two was more of the same, except now we were getting down to the dregs of our old home's contents - and the dregs weren't in boxes. Four movers arrived that day and removed every item big and small, while boxing up those items for us that we hadn't yet gotten to. At the end of the job, I sat down with Brian and settled up the bill. It seems we had exceeded the number of hours he had originally estimated for the job; but true to his word, the final charge was exactly what we had agreed on.\r \r In the end, all our stuff was moved efficiently and carefully and with no surprises. A Team Movers are truly pros at what they do, and I'm delighted to recommend them wholeheartedly. \r \r Just make sure you tip these guys good. They deserve it; they truly do.\r more

I can't recommend this company enough. \r \r We moved about 2 weeks ago and we were extremely apprehensive about which moving company to use. We'd gotten quotes from some of the bigger companies and then we found Shea on Yelp. We called up and spoke to Julie and she was extremely friendly and gave us a cheaper price. \r \r On moving day they ended up sending four guys instead of the three we'd spoken about. \r \r Everyone was on time and they moved us in record time. \r \r It's such a relief to work with an honest, friendly company.\r more

DO NOT USE!!! \r \r My job was very unprofessional, workers and foreman had little empathy when shown items that they had broken and even hid some items that they broke that I did not witness. Their insurance is useless as it pays by weight only, so if they break expensive items that cost big bucks you loose BIG TIME!!\r \r Our job went 1.5 hours over the estimated time, though this was the second time we used them and only 8 miles difference in distance from the first move. Major reason for the overage, things were loaded on the truck and then taken off several times to reload. They also did not dis-assemble a 2K granite top table and stacked items on top which has made the legs wobbly. On top of the hideous service from the movers, we are getting no results from emails, phone calls, etc., on the resolution of a cash payment given to their foreman which was demanded prior to them leaving stating it was for the 1.5 hours overtime. The driver basically put it in his pocket and stole from me and his employer but A Team is now stating that the 180.00 was considered a tip!!. more

A Team Moving was truly professional and courteous. We moved across the great USA and needed a moving company who could handle the household goods of a family of 5. The moving foreman came in, checked out the situation. He then prepared a plan, began disassembling furniture that needed taken apart and made sure all of my family's belongings were protected properly. Once we arrived at our new home, the movers noted where we wanted everything to go. They were great about that as we didn't find boxes or any items placed in the wrong rooms. This made the unpacking process much easier for us. Nothing was broken. Everything arrived in perfect condition. We have moved before but this was the least stressful move we have ever had. This family recommends this moving company to anyone needing to move. more

A Team Moving is the best company you can rely on. My mother was moving and we had too much to handle. We were hesitant to pay for services. However, we had to contract someone and we did it with A Team Moving. To begin with, the movers were punctual, professional, and hard workers. They treated all of my mother's belongings with care. They were so great that I even bought the four guys some lunch and tipped them well. The truck was large and well maintained. I definitely didn't have a problem with them and for that price I’d definitely contact them again. I also recommend this company to whoever is moving.\r more

\r I was referred to A Team Moving by a friend when I moved last year. I moved from a very full 2 bedroom apartment to a 3 bedroom house. After contacting them Tom came to my building to give an estimate. He was very genuine and even with the long haul expense (my apartment was over 300 ft from the building entrance) the quote was still better than the few other moving companies I had contacted. \r \r I decided to go with A Team Moving and I couldn't be happier. This was my 5th move in about 10 years and I can honestly say this is the FIRST time I actually had no issues and nothing broke. On every move I've always had something get damaged, however not this time! And I swear the moving guys must have had a PhD in packing because I've never seen anyone be so thorough. I have several glass tables, glass shelves, flat screen TV's, computer monitors and everything was packed extremely carefully and efficiently. At first I was concerned that I was going to be stuck unwrapping all the packing material in my new place but I didn't have to touch a thing or even ask since they had already taken care of it in the new house. They were also very helpful and did not mind my indecisiveness when I kept asking them to move furniture between the rooms in the new house, haha!!.\r \r Furthermore, they completed the whole move in much less time than I expected. I had actually worried that there would not be enough time to move everything out of the apartment given the long haul and my buildings restrictions (loading elevator closed at 4:00pm). My fears were again put to rest very quickly as they finished loading the truck with hours to spare.\r \r All in all it was probably the best moving experience I've had with little to no stress. I will be happy to contact them again when I have to move next year.\r more

I just don't have enough words to describe how incredible was this experience for me. As a father and almost a grandfather I can tell that this company moved all of my family belongings without braking or ruin nothing. We agreed to be very generous on the delivery date as we saw how careful the movers were and how nice they left our home, my wife and I tipped them with 30 dollars for each individual. I highly recommend this company to you all. more

I had a wonderful experience with this company. We were able to get ourselves moved in a very short time frame with the help of A Team Moving Storage. Everyone was courteous & helpful in our timely situation. Prices were reasonable & fair for all the services we received. My personal belongings were packed very well & movers arrived on time. It's nice to see a company that has been around so long still offering a ""good old' American "" service. I would definitely recommend using their services & I know we would again.\r \r Thank you for making our move so easy for us!\r more

I contacted A Team Moving to move my things from Texas to California. Guy and Jason came to my home to give me an estimate, and the price was very competitive. The movers arrived and packed up all my belongings, including my entire kitchen, (dishes, pots & pans, etc.) with the greatest of care. All furniture was wrapped carefully and everyone on the team was pleasant and professional. They did a great job of packing all my pictures, and there were many, and they were very careful with all my fragile things. When my belongings arrived in Arizona, they had a checklist that we went through, and everything arrived safely. The one mishap was when one of the pictures was unloaded, one of the drivers accidentally stepped back on it and broke the glass. I contacted Guy and he said that A Team will replace the glass (picture and frame were fine - just the glass needed replacing). I was then turned over to Darly, who handled all the details of the transaction. She told me to get it repaired and the company would reimburse me for the cost. I did this, and Darly made sure that I received a check promptly for the charge. Everyone at A Team Moving & Storage has been pleasant to work with and professional. Roy, in charge of shipping, Benjamin, Guy and Darly were all great to work with. They stood by their price and had great follow-up, making sure I was completely satisfied. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing a mover. more

\r These were the Best movers I've hired and well worth the price, especially since there reliable. I booked the move a week in advance, Arthur, Mike and Carlos showed up to help me move on my cross town move, they called me about an hour early to start the move. So I had someone else let them in to get things done there were no problems. I moved from Texas to California and the whole process from door to signing bill was 7 days, four 3 large bedrooms. Carlos, Mike and Arthur were detailed took extra care not to scratch any wood flooring and crack jokes the whole time it made for an easy move which I appreciate it to No end.\r more

Wow! I'm not one to write reviews but I'm taking the time to post here because this moving company is really exceptional! The staff, the movers, the service exceeded my expectations and made my move so much easier and smoother. They are professional, affordable, and deliver on all their promises. Truly an ease and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend.\r more

Absolutely horrible! Moved from out of state. Trashed my furniture. Didn't deliver on day promised because they told me the delivery driver was ""passed out"". The worst communication I have ever gotten from a company. more

Ateam moved me and my wife from Lakewood to Topeka last week and did a really good job. The had an opening to pick our furniture up a little earlier to get us to Kansas sooner and it worked out great. They were very professional and I would recommend them to my friends and co-workers. My bed frame was chipped but I was relayed the claims information quickly. The claim is taking a while but the move was very effecient and timely. The cost was very competitive and we finished right in the hours that were quoted to my wife.\r \r more

I used your company to move my household from plano to California. The quotes were good, but driver was very bad and he charged me more money than the quote.\r He called me, texted me on April 27 and told he will deliver on April 28, between 4-6 pm. After 1 hour he called me and told he is in my apartment. what.....I don't understand, why did he told me April 28 then ? I was not at my home, he told he would charge me $50 for overnight storage if I was not at home . Then on April 28, he unloaded his truck in my apt and showed me a charge of 175$, for overnight storage.\r \r I know I am cheated and he was not ready to hear to me and he sweared he never told he would come on April 28. I showed his voice mail, text , he argued it was not him. Damn I don't know whats wrong with you people.. \r Why do you cheat others??? more

Please go to their facebook page and post your complaints. Consumers need true and accurate information on this company. Facebook only has ""good"" not a true representation of the company. Please avoid this company at all costs. They should rename the company two men and a circus. This was the most stressful move EVER! First, the movers showed up one day late. Next, once the truck was loaded the drivers battery was dead.Yes, that's correct the ""experienced"" movers left the lights on in the truck. Third, my furniture was moved on Tuesday 2/12 and arrived 2/18. The company communication is horrible. I was not informed when my furniture would be picked up or dropped off. Last, the experienced driver could not back the truck up in the parking lot. They asked for MORE money. more

This company quoted $800 but I ended up paying $3000. More importantly, they damaged my brand new home. They damaged the front door, the walls, the washing machine, and my wood floor. They have only acknowledged damage to the front door but have refused responsibility for anything else, and have not reimbursed me for damages. They offered me $200 to shut me up when I threatened to complain to the TX DMV. I refused because I would rather post this review and complain to the state. I disputed part of the costs with VISA, and this company actually INTENTIONALLY MISLEAD VISA and said that I could file a claim with their insurance. They know darn well that their insurance only covers damage to goods (the items they moved) and not the the house to which they moved the stuff to. This is a shady, lying, misleading company. They even blamed me saying ""We don't know you didnt cause the damages"" when 1) I have pictures, 2) this was a BRAND NEW home in perfect condition. Please avoid them at all costs or risk paying the price. I am thinking of suing these guys on principle because I am out over $1000 in damages and they have blamed ME instead of taking responsibility. I am a professional and make enough $ than to waste my time with this kind of stuff but I am very disheartened that such shady, blameful company exists. VERY SHADY COMPANY. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! more

Untruthful promises about service. I recently moved to the state of Washington from Dallas and I decided to use A Team because of their low prices. I knew going into it that it was a gamble because of their bad score on the BBB website, so I'm not all that surprised that I've had such a bad experience. That said, I'm still disappointed and want to warn people that they made several promises to me that they haven't kept. The biggest problem is that I still do not have my stuff after waiting for almost a month for it to get here. When talking to various people over the phone I keep getting ""we'll have your stuff there by such and such date"" and then the date passes and I still am without my belongings. One of the deciding factors for me in picking A Team is that they told me they would definitely get my stuff here before Christmas, but guess what, I had to celebrate Christmas in an empty apartment sleeping on the floor. Also their payment system is ridiculous because I was able to pay by credit card the first two times (deposit, and pickup) but I'm forced to pay by cash on delivery for the remaining balance. Pretty shady business practice if you ask me. more

This company is awful! They did not provide the truck they promised. They also lied about their storage facility. Three people told me three different stories about where and how my belongings would be stored. First, they said they had a gated property at 1309 Summit Ave, not true. Then they said the truck would physically be driven and stored in the warehouse, not true. Then I was told by Mary the truck would be backed up to the warehouse, not acceptible. Then Avi told me it would be stored off-site inside gates. The point is everyone I spoke with gave me a different story. Not only did they make my move a nightmare, they have billed my credit card over $800 for services I did not receive. BE VERY AWARE!!! more
