Editorial review from Citysearch 10/7/2013

This driving school is horrible. Fortunately my kids did not take Driver's Ed at this school, I only signed them up for the road test because we could schedule our date earlier than we could have at the Registry. When I went to the school to pay for the road test I wasn't sure I was at the correct address It is in a red brick apartment building - in the basement. Upon entering I was shocked. There was a woman sitting at a desk reading a book, while the students were watching a video. The room was dark, stuffy, filthy and smelled like something had died in there. Gilli, who is Russian is the owner. She was behind some sort of partition at her desk. She was in her bare feet talking on the phone. She did stop to take my money and confirmed our road test date.\r \r The day before the scheduled test, a friend of my daughter told her that the test time had been moved to the following day. We never received a phone call to notify us. I did call and Gilli told me that she had just found out about it and was about to call me. \r \r My kids were suppose to get an hour of practice driving time prior to their test but they received 20 minutes. Gilli is the the proctor that sits in the back seat during the driving test. The test examiner was also Russian and was extremely difficult to understand. I happen to believe that if you are going to work as a State worker that you should speak english well enough for the students to understand what you are asking them to do. \r \r Both of my kids failed the road test. I am not writing this review (or lack there of) because they failed, but because Sharon Driving School has quite a racket going. The kids were spoken to with disrespect and distain by the examiner, while Gilli laughed in the back seat. I watched four (4) kids FAIL before my 2 kids failed. So they failed 6 kids in a row - all of which did NOT take their Driver's Ed course with Sharon Driving School. When the Gilli's school's students are passed, her rating goes up. As soon as the kids were told they failed, they were given a new form that already had the new test date written on it (two weeks later) and told to bring in another $120.00 fee as soon as possible. \r \r s far as I am concerned they fail these kids so that they can get another large fee from them. Seriously, 6 kids in a row fail? This school is the WORST. Gilli is totally unprofessional, mean, yells at people and her test examiner hardly speaks english. \r \r Do yourself a favor, check out other driving schools in the area that perform Driving Tests if your child has gone to a different Driver's Ed program. RUN, don't walk away from this one. more

The absolute worst 4/3/2011

Impossible to schedule driving hours. Gilly is so rude and if you try to explain what you want, she just screams over the top of you. She knows you have a logical point and thus she cannot listen to you because it will make sense. Her only defense is screaming. The classroom experience is horrible. Stay as far away from this school as you can. Ask the Sharon Police about this school!!!!! more

do not recommend this school 10/24/2009

Gilly who is manager at this school is very rude. It usually takes three attempts to schedule driving hours, they write twice as much of the observation hours that they actually give and also cut on the driving hours. When tried to get at least lost driving time back was yelled at by Gilly. Very bad experience. Cons: very rude and hard to deal with more
