Great service and repair 2/3/2012

I like many people have been to many repair shops in my life. I have a lot of respect for Jonathan and his great team. Not only did they replace my engine within a couple of days they took the time to put wire covers on all the wires, and cleaned everything up. I have received nothing but superb service & repair for my vehicle but Jonathan?s customer service is like none ever seen. I have had 2 follow up calls from him and a follow up vehicle inspection. Not many shops even care to take the time to do any of this. Jonathan & his team are greatly appreciated in this community. Thank you guys for all your hard work more

Great Technicians and a Great Shop all Around 1/27/2012

These guys are very good. They cut through the chase and let you know what is really wrong with your vehicle and fix what needs to be fixed. They could have sold me on many things I am not a car guy. I did look up what the repaired and it was exactly what they repaired. I was only able to look it up because of the information they explained to me about the repair. I will send them everyone more

I have had several cars serviced at A Plus and have found the owner to be fair, honest, and reliable. He has saved me a lot of money with his advice. The repairs have always been done well and completed on time. It's good to have a place to take your car where you know you won't be ripped off. I highly recommend A Plus for any automotive service! more

This Person Below Does not Exist 1/24/2012

There has only Been 6 transmission installed at our shop in the past 2 years and we were the middle man for a repair done by another shop. 3 belong to the Nashville Fire Department, 2 are here now, and 1 was from a Dealer Ship. So I can only Say this person who wrote this is either a employee who has been terminated or just another shop trying to pretend to be a customer and give us a bad review. All prices are given up front and signed by the customer prior to any work being done to their vehicle. There will never and has never been a time where work was done to a customers vehicle without an exact dollar amount and agreed to. Nor do we miss diagnose vehicles, if we are not 100% sure of a repair we will direct the customer to another shop that may help them. more

They will rip you off! 1/23/2012

I also got my transmission repaired at this place. When I went in to pick up the car, the bill was SEVERAL HUNDRED DOLLARS over what I was told it would be. He never called me or let me know until the day I went to get the car. On two other occasions, I took my car over there to get an estimate, then took it to another garage, (One that I know is honest.) The estimate I was given at A plus automotive was not only way more expensive (by several hundred dollars) than the other garage, but what they claimed was wrong with my car was not at all accurate. An interesting note: when I related what A plus said was wrong with my car to my mechanic, his reaction was ""do you think he trying to rip you off, or is he just stupid?"" That's enough for me. I'll never waste my time or money going there again. more

Great Experience with Auto Repair!! 1/23/2012

Went to get my Lumina's AC Compressor worked on and the guys there treated me with respect and fixed my car. The shop is by far not the closest to me as I live in Providene and the shop is on Lebanon Rd (other side of MJ) but it was totally worth the drive. Their labor charges are lower than any other place I've been to in Mt Juliet. They got me in almost instantly after helping me locate the part I needed for my car. The owner (Jonathan) treated me like family. He let me hang out in the shop and watch everything being done to my car. They offered me a soda while I waited. He even explained how to do the things he was doing so i could know how to fix it myself next time! It was by far the the most pleasant experience I have had getting automotive repairs anywhere and I would recommend A+ Automotive to everyone because it is a great shop! more

I recommend this shop to everyone 1/21/2012

I do not even think I was the for 15 minutes, I told them I had a misfire in my engine they could have sold me on a tune up (this is what I thought I needed done) but as it turns out there was a vacuum line off. With the replacement of a vacuum line my car runs soo much better. I think the important thing here is they where honest and they know their stuff. Thank you guys for your honesty and your quick repair. more

This Person Below is way off 1/7/2012

This Vehicle was Towed in to us on 11/29/2011, Customer told us after the work was completed that they did not have the money to pay for the repair 12/10/2011 and I did tell them I would not charge them the $25.00 per day storage fee. The Customer had knowledge this vehicle was being sent to a Transmission shop, but we would not have an exact time frame on the repair it depends on how busy the shop was. It did take a total of 2 weeks before the vehicle was delivered back to us and every part was communicated with this customer and authorized. It was only when I had told him the shop was closed for the holiday and we would not be able to get it back here until a work day is when he got upset, and the proceeded to tell us he did not have the money and he was going through bankruptcy. There is no way any place is going to loose money for any customer. If the customer had explained to us he did not have the money for the repair we would have never taken the job. It is funny how they leave out the Truth of the matter, And the police escorted him out of the building because we would not return the vehicle without payment. I had over $2,500.00 into this vehicle. There was never any excuses on parts at all, there was a wait time of 4 days for the rebuild kit. more

STAY AWAY FROM A Plus Automotive Repair in Mt. Juliet 1/2/2012

2nd time transmission on this car was worked reworked by A Plus & Jonathan. Car was towed to his garage on Nov.16,2011. I was told the cost would be about $2100 to be done in about a week. A week went by & the car wasn't even inside the garage. Dec 2 Jonathan said it was done and the price was 2,152.16. After about 3 miles, the car was jerking and I took it right back and the mechanic (Kenny) told me to bring the car back in Sun. aft. to be fixed by Mon. night with no additional charge. From that time on, there has been one excuse after another: couldn?t find a part, parts truck didn?t come in, waiting for truck, wrong part, looking for a new part, and the cycle all over again. Finally approx 2 weeks later, I was told that the car wasn't at the garage; his mechanic took it to Hendersonville. Jonathan also said he didn?t know where it was & didn?t have an address. Dec 21, I walked down to the shop to find out about my car (about 2+ miles--I'm 78 years old!) I told him I wanted my car back and Jonathan again said he didn?t know where the car was and told me to leave. He told me that he would get a tow truck and bring the car back that day but that didn?t happen either. Dec 22 Jonathan said that the car was ready, but it would cost us $575 to get it today or starting Monday the 26th, he would charge us $25 storage fee. I asked him who authorized that additional expense and Jonathan said it was part of the transmission. They had the car, that was the only way to get it .I called my sister who called Jonathan and gave him her credit card over the phone satisfying that unauthorized charge to enable us to get the car. This was about 4 pm. My sister told him to give me a receipt. He never did. Dec 23, Jonathan called about 10:00AM saying the guy called him about 30 min prior and said he wouldn?t be in until about 11:00. Jonathan said he would pick me up and go over to get the car. At 11:30 he said as soon as another worker came he was going to send his mechanic and another person over to get it. None of this happened. About 4PM that same afternoon, Jonathan said his wife & his friend who was a Ford expert were going to get it. 5:25: his wife was almost there and he would call when she got there. Later: wife found note on the gate saying they would be closed until Monday. Jonathan still doesn't know where car is. Mon, Dec. 26, Jonathan said he couldn?t get the mechanic or anyone to answer the phone in Hendersonville Tues, Dec 27, My wife and I stopped and asked where the car was. Jonathan said he couldn?t get anyone on the phone at Hendersonville and again said he didn?t know where the place was and couldn?t leave because he was the only one there. He said we should leave. We went straight to the police where we filed a report An Officer accompanied us to the garage & heard the same story. He told Jonathan that unless this car was shown by the next day, there would be a stolen vehicle report on it and Jonathan would be responsible. Dec 27: Jonathan called and said that the car was now at his garage but he was adding an additional $252.26 as sales tax and not let us pick up the car until either the total amount of $904.42 is paid or we turn over the title of the car to him as collateral. We have had the car 2 days since November 16. Six weeks, one day and $2062.16 later, we still don?t have the car. Update: Dec 30: After being advised to get the car away from there as soon as possible, we were able to scrape together $652.16 (between 3 sources) . Jonathan had called the Officer on Wednesday saying he had the car and it was working right. Today we went to the police department and the officer accompanied us to A+ automotive. Jonathan gave me a new bill which said we owed $904.42. Wife said ?I have a slip right here from you that says our balance due is $652.16.? Balance due means that is the amount that it will take to ?pay in full??. That amount was paid and we finally got the car. more

Great Service 9/24/2011

Jonathan and his team were great! I had issues with a oil leak and thought it was my oil pan gasket. It turns out another shop in Mt. Juliet who had replaced my timing belt 2 years ago did a terrible job. Got a new timing belt, water pump, and had a little exhaust work done. Jonathan took my back in the bay and showed their findings. Then the day after I got it out of the shop he called me to see how things were with the car. People that is what customer service is all about. Great work!!! more

I agree with ""Cutie..."" Watch Out! 9/15/2011

If there was an option for a negative star I'd select it - the only reason I selected 1 star is because you HAVE to select a rating! more

Great Automotive Shop! 5/16/2011

I have been searching for a honest and dependable shop for the last 3 years, I can now say I have found it A+ Automotive Repair in Mt. Juliet. Not only do they explain everything to you step by step they also explain it so you can understand it. The owner Johnathan is such a great person and a great mechanic. Him and his crew had gotten me on the road in no time and my vehicle that had been to 4 other shops is running better than ever. If you have not used these guys you should. People like this are very hard to find and when you find a shop like this you need to hold on to them. more

SCAM!! 2/5/2011

This company scammed my entire family! They are so unprofessional! My parents and I took our cars there a few months apart, we all asked for a quote first before they fixed the cars, a few days later they told us everything was done and then gave us the quote! We were stuck paying for work that only was supposed to cost maybe $500, my parents ended paying $900 and he charged me $730 for a crack in the water hose, he said he couldnt put the old parts back on because he already threw them away, (we later found out they dont give anyone quotes first because they are always too high and no one would ever pay them so they just fix the cars without asking- thats why whenever you drive by the entire lot is full because there cars that all have been fixed and no one can afford to pick them up, they also will charge you $25 a day to keep your car there) The owner, John, is a complete liar about everything he says, he tried to turn my family against eachother saying that the reason he couldnt mark down the price was because my boyfriend called up and cursed out his wife over the phone, which never happened, then when he realized he was caught he tried saying that my dad called him behind my back and said to do the work without getting a quote, another lie. So then I called him and asked him to mark it down because I dont have a job and if I would have known it was going to be that much I would have just sold my car which is only worth $1500. He said there was no way he could help me out, he then for some unknown reason called my dad up and told him I was complaining about the car (duno what my dad has to do with anything, the car is in my name so he should be dealing with just me) so my dad told him the same thing I said then he just hung up on him= UNPROFESSIONAL! When we went in to pick up the car and pay him, he wouldnt even look at me, just said my dad was supposed to be paying him and that I had no reason to be there...again, its my car what does my dad have to do with it?? I told him I had the money (after borrowing it from a friend) it took him 10 mins to find the keys because they dont label them. To make up for that, he says his buddy had to move my car earlier that day so he must have moved the keys (another lie!! we drove by there 5 times in the past 2 days and the car was never moved) After getting the keys, I go to drive away and notice my license plate was torn in half and the pieces were left on my passenger seat, I went back in and the manager John said ""oh you must of hit something because that was laying on the ground"" I think after having that for 3 yrs I would feel my car smash into something hard enough to rip my license plate in half! They dont have cameras anywhere so you cant prove they did anything. A day after getting my car back, its driving slow and the check engine light keeps coming on (which never did before) he told me they guarentee all the work they do, but I know if I take the car back he will charge me because he's going to say that has nothing to do with what he fixed. I can't prove what he fixed because he never gave me a print out of the summary of work performed, all I recieved was a typed out receipe saying they charge $70/hr for labor and it says they worked 9 hrs on it (which I have no proof of) and all total parts cost was ONLY $83...TELL ME WHY I HAD TO PAY $730 AND ITS STILL NOT FIXED AND I HAVE DAMAGED PROPERTY!! I will never deal with this company again!!! All I wanted was a quote and I ended up with many more problems! more
