Had rear brakes replaced/repaired. Then had no park brake. AG Diesel found a bad lot of brake shoes and replaced them with the proper ones. Truck returned in good time with no further charges at all. I am very pleased with the service at AG Diesel. I have been with them for 10+ years. more

I was having a problem with my speedometer. It was a transient problem that didn't always show up, so they had to drive the car several miles at AG Diesel Repair for it to finally stop working. They then assessed the problem pretty quickly, got the parts, and worked on it. The first part was not quite right, but they fixed it right away and didn't charge me anything for the first job. They were also very conscientious. They called at every step of the way to let me know what was going on. more

AD Diesel did a professional job in repairing my Ford F250 turbo which was having an over boost issue. Their staff helped identify the issues, presented options and repaired the turbo to insure no further problems with the equipment. I was impressed with their clean, organized shop plus the experienced diesel technicians. more

Tried to sell me more then what repairs needed more

We used AG Diesel Repair for a couple of different trucks and we thought we got a good deal at the time but we talked to a few other places and saw that they charged us double the average price. They recently charged us $10,000 for a motor in an older truck and there was problems with it like leaking coolant and missing nuts and bolts. We won't use them again. "Funtastic Rides" more

I've had AG Diesel Repair do several things. They've been working on my car for three years. They do all the regular maintenance and some of the specialty issues. Like when I went to the gas station and someone put gas in my diesel, I had to take it to them and have them give me a new filter and clean it up. I just have been really thrilled with their professionalism. They keep track of what they've done and what needs to be done so I always know what to expect when I go in. It's a really nice experience. They will be totally upfront with how they estimate the cost and return your car in pristine condition. And they give you a ride! more

Unfortunately, we experienced a team of mechanics who seemed more interested in squeezing the most out of our insurance coverage than actually addressing what was wrong with the vehicle. The bill was padded to $6600 in supposed 'necessary' repairs after bringing it in for a simple fluids and filters change (which alone cost an inflated price of $360). Really guys? Of course our insurance company is going to deny a claim like that. The vehicle has been owned for less than a year. Way to not think through what might have been best for the customer and instead being greedy about our extra insurance coverage. We were hoping to find our primarily mechanic, but instead we have just found a business to tell our friends to avoid. RESPONSE FROM AG Diesel Repair: Please pardon our delay in responding to your online review, as we were somewhat taken back by the review we received. We strive to give our customers an accurate assessment of their vehicles condition each and every time they visit our shop. We do this before performing any services or repairs because it would be a disservice to do otherwise. For example, we would not recommend a transmission service if we know through diagnosis that the transmission needs replaced just as we would not perform an oil change if the engine needs replaced or simply service the brake fluid if the brakes are unsafe. We genuinely care about our customers and their investments and act or advise accordingly. Your vehicle was scheduled for an oil change. We agreed upon a Major Fluid/ Filter service due to the condition of the fuel and air filters. We encourage you to call around and check prices for the exact same service that was performed on your vehicle and you will find that we are very generous for what we charged. We completed our Courtesy Vehicle Inspection including diagnosing failed components (at no charge) to ensure as accurate an estimate as possible based on the condition of the vehicle and Sterlings needs as discussed with Patrick. During our Courtesy Vehicle Inspection and Diagnosis, we found the following: 1.Problem: Batteries failed load test- Left: 8v, Right: 5v We recommended: Replace both batteries 2.Problem: Badly leaking steering gear box and line from power steering pump to booster We recommended: Power Steering Service, replace pressure hose, pump assembly 3.Problem: Leaking lower oil pan gasket We recommended: Replace oil pan gasket and reseal 4.Problem: Broken carrier bearing rubber mounting with marginal vibration while driving and torn right side cv axle boot is losing grease We recommended: Overhaul rear driveline 5.Problem(s): Idler arm has excessive movement, pitman arm has excessive movement, both upper ball joints have excessive movement (has aftermarket style ball joint for the lift kit) We recommended: Steering/Suspension including align front-end, pitman arm, idler arm, etc. While there were other problems noted with the vehicle as shown under Recommendations on your invoice, the problems with the vehicle listed above are the problems Sterling and Patrick discussed further and agreed to submit to your insurance for authorization for repairs. It was and is never our intention to get anything extra from you or your insurance company and we feel bad for you in that it appears as though you purchased a truck that has not had much maintenance and has some issues. The real disservice, in our opinion, is that the aftermarket insurance sold by the salesman will not cover this vehicle. It seems as though Sterling paid $2500 for a piece of paper that does nothing for him. Patrick spoke with Sterling several times throughout the process of submitting our findings to the insurance company. Sterling never indicated, at any time, that he was displeased with the direction we headed. To the contrary, he seemed pleased that we were diligently advocating on his behalf to get the issues covered. Our goal is to provide quality service to our customers and anything less is below our standards. We appreciate and value your feedback and the opportunity to learn from this experience. AG Diesel Repair upgraded a bunch of stuff on the engine. They repaired all these problems I had from the factory with the coolant system, etc. on my 2005 truck. I had them do the work so it didn't fail down the line. I have already recommended them. AG Diesel seems like a very professionally run operation, almost like working with a dealer. more

Actually, I don't trust any other shop with my pickup, they notify me of everything that needs to be kept track of and every detail of what needs repair. Always done when promised, the quality of mechanics is the highest. more

I was a new customer and had several problems with my truck. You worked up procedures to repair the truck but also included things that should be repaired in the future. All of this was over the phone and it would be nice to have a print out Emailed to me so I could go over it with the tech when he called. That way I would have had a better understanding of what was to be repaired and what needed to be repaired in the future. more

I called AG Diesel Repair requesting a STANDARD quote for STANDARD maintenance on a STANDARD Dodge diesel truck (fuel filter replacement, oil change, transfer case fluid replacement, etc.). The guy wouldn't even provide a quote insisting that I visit the business. When a business will not provide you pricing on regular maintenance items, avoid them at all cost (or hold on to your wallet). You are better off doing business with a dealer. A little expensive, but you get what you pay for. Unfortunately I sold the vehicle before putting many post-repair miles on it, but the overall experience was good. I feel they try to push additional labor, but any repair shop does this. I feel AG can be trusted, they are very professional, complete labor quickly, & give you a "worst-case" estimate to prevent price shock. more

I had taken my pickup to other mechanics and they weren't able to fix it. AG Diesel Repair was. They bent over backwards to do everything for me, including coming to my work, picking it up, and bringing it back to me when I needed. What I didn't like is that my bill was not itemized. It didn't say how much for each part. It just said "parts" and gave me a total price. That's the only thing I didn't like. more

almost a year of in and out of AG, still not properly fixed. Jerrid kept making excuses for the problem but the actual mechanic told a very different story. Extremely disappointed. I would recommend AG Diesel Repair to anybody. I have had them perform extensive work on two of my trucks. They have brought both trucks up to a standard that is better then when they were new.
