A Better You Salon & Day Spa

I found this spa when searching online for children's birthday parties. My daughter was turning 11 and I wanted something different and fun. I found spa la petite which is inside A Better You day spa. When I called to inquire further about booking a party, the lady answering the phone was very helpful and took her time explaining the different parties and which one would be best for my daughter. I booked and the party was great (we went with the ooh spa la). My daughter absolutely loved everything...hair, makeup, pedicures, I know they felt very pampered. All the staff were friendly and did a great job on the girls. For any moms looking for a great party to make your daughter feel special...this place has it. I was so excited to see your ad on Facebook about Bare Escentuals. I have been traveling to Atlanta and ordering my makeup online. When I clicked on your website, I was in time to sign up for your champagne, chocolate Bare Escentuals party. The party was a lot of fun and the chocolate fountain was awesome....very yummy . I found the information very informative and plan on coming to your future events. I also really like the fact that I don't have to drive all the way to Atlanta anymore to try new colors and products. I can't remember the girl at the front desk but she was very helpful. She seemed genuinely excited about the RareMinerals skincare line and she was right. The RareMineral cleanser is amazing. My skin feels so smooth, it looks more radiant and you immediately notice that your skin feels tighter especially around the eyes and mouth where time has started to takes its toll. I will definitely recommend your Bare Escentuals parties to all my gal pals. What better way to spend time with your girlfriends than with food, wine and makeup. My husband and I just went here for a couples massage and body glow. I booked it to surprise my husband and was mortified that this was where I chose. We typically go to spas in Knoxville; so after reading the reviews I chose this spa for our day in Chattanooga. It is NOTHING like what we have experienced in the past. If you are looking for a pampering, it's not here. We were offered a drink upon entering, that we never got it. They ask that you arrive 10 minutes before your appt. We still ended up waiting for about 20 minutes! There is one shower, and it was in the room we got the massages. We were going out to dinner afterward; so of course, I didn't want to have oily hair. Luckily, I asked if there was shampoo in the shower. They didn't have anything in there! After asking, the lady did bring me a very small sample shampoo and conditioner. The poor people behind us had to wait for their massage longer because we had to take a shower and get out of the room before they could replace the linens and get them changed. It's very poorly organized. The facility wasn't very clean either. We saw a pile of dust on the top of a shelf near the shower. The customer service is very lacking. Neither one of the ladies that worked on us asked about problem areas or even checked on the pressure. We were never offerred water afterward (most places encourage hydration). I will never be back to this place. If this is the best Chatt has to offer in spas, I'll stick with Knoxville! I've been "" spa hopping"" in Chattanooga because I couldn't find anyone who really met my needs. This place is awesome! Their packages are great and they even offer monthly memberships! Their pedicures are awesome and the bowls are very sanitary! And the facials and massages are great! They are definitely somewhere I will visit frequently!!! My experience at A Better You Salon & Spa was exceptional! The staff is Very Friendly - which if you have visited other salons you know is very rare. My appointment was for a Facial and Wax - the esthetician was professional, experienced and extremely knowledgable. The spa area was neat and clean which is very important to me when receiving spa treatments. I have booked standing appointments for this entire year. I had nothing but an Outstanding experience! I just recently moved to Chattanooga and found A Better You here on Citysearch...I got a pedicure, haircut, and brow and lip wax. It was great!! My brow arch is perfect! The pedicure was very relaxing and ""green""! Lori cut my hair...its the best haircut I've ever had (and the shampoo was the best part!!) and she really helped me with ideas on how to style it. I went to A Better You to get my hair fixed from a previous stylists' mess up. Samantha made me look great again! I also tried the Bare Minerals makeup while I was there and now I'm hooked! Its a very unsanitary place to go. The makeup brushes are being reused on clients without being cleaned. Thats spreading bacteria from one client to another. And the aesthetician isn't very sanitary when waxing. You are to never use the same spatula when dipping wax out more than once because thats putting bacteria from the skin into the wax and she uses the same wax on different clients. Quiet frankly I don't want to pay to have someone elses germs put on me. NASTY!!! I think someone didn't pay attention to their infection control lessons when they were in school. more

My husband purchased a day spa package for me from A Better You as a Mother's Day gift. I was so excited that I called to book the appointment the very next day. This was my first experience with A Better You Day Spa, I had never even heard of this spa before my husband purchased the gift certificate. When I walked in the day of my appointment I was greeted warmly by the front desk receptionist and offered some water with fresh lemon. My first treatment was a signature speciality facial. This treatment was incredible and unlike any facial I have ever received. The facial massage, the organic masques and she even massaged my feet and hands. After the facial I was taken to another treatment room for the massage, the therapist was so friendly and professional. She asked several time if the pressure was comfortable and if everything felt ok. After the massage I was taken to the manicure, pedicure area. The pedicure bowls are uniquely awesome. The pedicure chair is so comfortable and even has a throw pillow and blanket. They filled the bottom of the pedicure bowl with warm smooth stones that I rested my feet on during the pedicure. I actually fell asleep during this part of my spa day. Finally at the end of my spa day they applied a makeup application using Bare Minerals. I have to say that you can really feel just how much the staff cares about your comfort, not only with the customer service but also through the fantastic, natural product lines that they carry and use during treatments. My first experience with A Better You was recently after I discovered they carried Bare Escentual Mineral makeup. I had always wanted to try the makeup so I decided to drop in yesterday. I was greeted warmly from the girl at the front desk and even though they were incredibly busy, someone still found the time to apply a makeup application and help me decide on which colors worked best with my skin. This was my first experience with A Better You and with wearing Bare Escentual makeup and I loved both. I received an incredible brow arch. I have looked all over for someone that can give me a really good arch, but untill now I hadn't been able to find anyone. The girl took her time and even put lotion on my brows when she was done. They use a certain type of hard wax, which did not leave me nearly as red as some of the other times I have been waxed. My daughter booked a day of pampering for my birthday as a surprise. I've had massages, facials and pedicures, but never a body glow. I loved it, the body glow was first, then massage. Your not supposed to shave for a day before receiving a body glow cause it could be irritating to your skin, but they let me shave after being scrubbed before my massage. My legs and whole body were smooth for days...it was awesome. I will be back for sure, all the services were great...thanks to the ladies who worked on me and to my daughter.
